Matt Damon's Tan Lines; Gay Kiss "Inappropriate"; Women Who Love Gay Romance

Women Who Love Gay Romance ... Cover Preview

This is actually the first time I'm seeing the cover for The Women Who Love to Love Gay Romance up anywhere. Because the majority of the book is so intimate, I opted for a cover that didn't have a nude male torso this time. And although there are many steamy scenes in the book, and in each story, I thought the emotional aspects outweighed the sex...as far as covers go.

There are so many serious things happening around the world...

Gay Sex on True Blood; Women Who Love to Love Gay Romance Blurb

Gay Sex on True Blood

Almost every original series on HBO tends to push the limit when it comes to sex. I've posted about full frontal male nudity on Boardwalk Empire, and how unexpected it was. And last week I watched one of the most detailed homoerotic sex scenes on True Blood I've seen in a while. And that wasn't the first homoerotic sex scene for TB. And I think that's partly because of the nature of the theme because vampires tend to view the world differently than humans. One o...

New Release: The Silicon Valley Sex Scandal

New Release: The Silicon Valley Sex Scandal

Here's the cover for my new release with Ravenous Romance in the Bad Boy Billionaire series, Silicon Valley Sex Scandal. I like what they did this time. I see several key elements from the book in the cover, including the ultra modern home the main character owns in Cupertino, CA.

I get into a few interesting things in this book, like cyber-dating, online fakery, catfishing, and stalking. I took the liberty of using poetic license at times in a posit...

Michigan GOP Gay Rights; Jeff Bezos Buys Washington Post; YA Books for Grown Ups

Michigan GOP Gay Rights

In a turn of events that doesn't surprise me all that much, it's being reported that Michigan's Republican leadership is hinting at supporting LGBT equal rights. More than half of Michigan residents support LGBT equal rights according to a recent poll. There are many gay Republicans living in Michigan who want equal rights, as well as Republicans who have gay friends and family members. In other words, the world is round; fire is hot.

"This is an opportunity f...

Some Authors Against Amazon E-book Return Policy

Some Authors Against Amazon E-book Return Policy

I've heard a few complaints, and read about a few complaints, when it comes to Amazon's Kindle return policy recently. And it seems to be more evident with this web site, where thousands of authors have signed a petition to stop what they are basically referring to as e-book refund fraud. I know very little about this because it's never been an issue for me personally.  In fact, here's a link to something I posted in April about t...

Reichen Lehmkuhl Shorts; Big Brother 15 Racism

Reichen Lehmkuhl Shorts

The logo channel is introducing a new concept this summer, with Reichen Lehmkuhl. From what I gather, it's a series of six second short film clips that's like a soap opera.

Today Logo goes a step further by launching a 22-episode scripted soap opera on Vine. Yep, each episode of The Vines of Sauvignon Blanc is only six econds long — which means you can watch the whole thing in the span of a bathroom break.

The show, which stars Reichen Lehmkuhl (of Amazing Race fame) and...

Newest .99 Amazon Releases by Ryan Field

Newest .99 Amazon Releases by Ryan Field

Once again, I put my name in the titles of posts like this for search engines not because I'm on a huge ego trip. In fact, I wish I didn't have to do this, but that's the way search engines work and I have no control over it.

In any event, here's the next round of back listed titles that just went live on Amazon. Also again, these are books that were pubbed with the now shuttered loveyoudivine.com start up e-press and that's one of the reasons why I...

She Fingered Her Pearls; Snark on Erotica

She Fingered Her Pearls; Snark on Erotica

I really don't think this post needs to be long. It's about writing erotica, and how different people write erotica. And it's not always simple to do because there are words that can either make or break a scene...and in many cases this all depends on the context of the scene.

Yesterday I saw a published author I follow on Twitter making fun of a new self-published author's erotica, and the way this self-published author wrote a few scenes. T...

Is Stoli Vodka Boycott Misguided? Obama Admin Vetoes Apple Ban

Is Stoli Vodka Boycott Misguided?

They've been pouring bottles of Stoli Vodka down drains and into streets all weekend in cities all over America. I saw them do this at a local gay bar in Philadelphia on local TV news. But according to this article, Stoli Vodka is distilled in Latvia and owned by a company in Luxembourg. Where this gets complicated is that it is controlled by a Russian billionaire living in exile because he's allegedly opposed to the way gays are being treated in Russia. And,...

Lori Perkins, Riverdaleavebooks Article; Drag Queen Protests Russia

Lori Perkins, Riverdaleavebooks Article

Someone sent me a link today with a very nice article about Riverdaleavebooks.com, and information about the owners, Lori Perkins and Don Weise. I've worked with both before as editors. I've learned a great deal by working with them both and I never take that for granted. In fact, the main reason I wrote "Fangsters Clan of the Jersey Boys," was because it was with Riverdaleavebooks.

It's a nice article, with a photo of Perkins. They don't mention th...
