Pope Clarifies Gay Sex and Sin in a Note, Ryan Field Books

Pope Clarifies Gay Sex and Sin in a Note

Whenever I see the word "homosexuality" lately I cringe. Being gay is not just about sex or sexuality. That's an old term that was used to describe us back when they didn't know what else to say. Now I prefer gay or even queer. And I wish the straight media would stop using that awful word.

With that said, the other day I posted about the Pope making a statement where he did not believe being gay was a crime, but he did say it was a sin. And now he's clar...

FDA to Ease Rules For Gay Men Seeking to Donate Blood, Ryan Field Books

FDA to Ease Rules For Gay Men Seeking to Donate Blood

When AIDS started to kill off gay men, and long before we had drugs to combat HIV, the FDA decided to ban gay men from donating blood. And even though we now have HIV drugs and things like PrEP, there's a still a ban all these years later. Not to mention the fact that a lot of gay men are not HIV + nor do they live promiscuous lives.

However, there is hope. The FDA recently announced that it would do away with the 3 month abstinence requireme...

Florida Bill Hopes to End Gay Panic Defense, Ryan Field Books

Florida Bill Hopes to End Gay Panic Defense

Finally, something positive coming from Florida. For those who don't know, there are laws out there that were designed to protect guilty straight people whenever they beat or kill gay people. They are usually referred to as "gay/panic defense." In other words, if a gay guy accidentally flirts with a straight guy and the straight guy claims he panicked and he beat the gay guy up, the straight guy can get off without little punishment.

Senate Democratic ...

Pope Francis Is At It Again With His Opinions on Gay Sex, Ryan Field Books

Pope Francis Is At It Again With His Opinions on Gay Sex

Every so often Pope Francis comes out with another convoluted message about gay sex. Never mind that so many priests are closet cases, which has always been ignored. He has the audacity to actually comment on gay sex as if everything within his own church is perfect.

With that said, here is the latest comment from the Pope. He claims that gay sex should not be a crime, but that it is a sin. And I'll never understand how anyone can distingu...

Drag Artist Talks About George Santos Leaving Brazil and then Returning to Compete in Drag Contest, Ryan Field Books

Drag Artist Talks About George Santos Leaving Brazil and then Returning to Compete in Drag Contest

Here's more on the story about the openly gay politician in Washington D.C. who allegedly lies constantly. The jokes going around on Twitter are both sad and funny. Sad because he's the kind of gay man who should be representing us well.

In any event, here's another story about Santos. He once tried to become Miss Gay Rio de Janeiro. But he lost. The person making this next comment is problematic fo...

The Excellent Gay Stars in the Film "A Knock at the Cabin," Ryan Field Books

The Gay Stars in the Film "A Knock at the Cabin" and the Straight Guy Who Wrote It

Unlike most films being made nowadays with gay content, A Knock at the Cabin does something completely unusual. They actually hired openly gay actors to play gay roles. When you consider films like Call Me by Your Name, and, The Whale, where straights play gay, A Knock at the Cabin might be one of the most innovative films of all time so far.

Think about it. Openly gay actors getting paid to play openly gay charact...

No, We Do NOT Need to Protect Brendan Fraser, Ryan Field Books

No, We Do NOT Need to Protect Brandan Fraser

Years ago, Brendan Fraser was in a film titled, Gods and Monsters. In this film, he played the homophobic landscaper to a once famous older gay man. This was when Fraser has a great body, and he was just starting out. The older guy was infatuated with Fraser's character but Fraser made it clear that he found the older gay man repulsive.

With that said, Fraser recently starred in a film where he played gayface, in a fat suit. And as Hollywood tends to ...

Law Student Missing After Being Seen In NYC Gay Bar, Ryan Field Books

Law Student Missing After Being Seen In NYC Gay Bar

A young law student in New York is being tracked with his phone because he's been missing for over two weeks. According to his phone, his last location was in a gay bar in the Hell's Kitchen section of Manhattan. That's a very popular gay area for gay men in NY.

The police found his wallet and his phone in two different places. His family and friends are very worried. His brother made this statement.

“I don’t want to rule out a heinous foul pla...

Philadelphia Flyer Ivan Provorov Boycotts Pride Event, Ryan Field Books

Philadelphia Flyer Ivan Provorov Boycotts Pride Event

In all fairness, I have to admit that I have never been to a Pride event. I've seen them happening where I live, and it's not that I don't support them. Like many gay men who are out, I just never felt the need to go to one. And I think that's partly because I only identify as a gay man and I'm not thrilled with what Pride has become.

And this has nothing at all to do with the LGBTQ community. From what I have seen in the past 20 years or so,...

Arizona Gay Couple Asked to Take Down Gay Pride Flag, Ryan Field Books

Arizona Gay Couple Asked to Take Down Gay Pride Flag

This story interests me on a personal level because Tony and I are obviously gay, and we live in Palm Springs, CA, which is extremely gay. But more than that, we also live in a gated community in Palm Springs and we have an HOA and there are rules to follow. We also have many gay couples as neighbors. Everyone keeps their homes looking wonderful, everyone worked hard to get their homes, and they don't put cheesy flags outside their homes...fla...
