Noah Schnapp of "Stranger Things" Comes Out As Gay, Ryan Field Books

Noah Schnapp of "Stranger Things" Comes Out As Gay

Here's something, once again, that I never get tired of seeing.

A young actor, from the series Stranger Things, named Noah Schnapp just came out of the closet as gay on TikTok. I think social media has made it easier for us to come out. It's more comfortable to let it out that way. When I came out you had to do it face to face, with more than a few awkward moments.

But I digress. After Schnapp came out, his family and friends all said they weren...

Book Author Allegedly Caught Lying About Own Death, Ryan Field Books

Book Author Allegedly Caught Lying About Own Death

I have seen a lot of crooked, sleazy things in the book world in my time, especially in the m/m romance genre. So honestly, this doesn't shock me. I've seen worse.

However, this has caused a great deal of discussion with authors who haven't seen the crap I have seen, and in its own way it is outrageous.

An Author, Susan Meachen, allegedly died from suicide a few years ago, but she recently returned to Facebook to claim she just needed a break fr...

Revenge Reviews: When You Get a Ridiculous Bad Book Review for No Reason, The Word Obese IS a Slur and Why We shouldn't Use It, Ryan Field Books

Revenge Reviews: When You Get a Ridiculous Bad Book Review for No Reason

I have always allowed reviewers to say and write whatever they want. I never say a single word. If I get a bad review and I know it's sincere, I keep my mouth shut. It's someone's opinion and that's all that matters. I've left a few bad reviews myself at times. I don't even go to Goodreads and see what my reviews are. That's up to readers.

However, every now and then a book review comes along that is not only a bad book revi...

Todd Chrisley Claims He's NOT Gay, A Gay Former Weatherman Claims He's Being Exploited, Ryan Field Books

Todd Chrisley Claims He's NOT Gay

I don't like these stories because whenever a straight man claims he's not gay, there always seems to be a hidden amount of shame. As if being gay is wrong. When it really shouldn't matter one way or the other. However, this one is a little unusual.

Chrisley had a business associate named Mark Braddock, and Braddock alleged that the two had a passionate affair. And of course Chrisley denies it all, but in an almost snarky sarcastic way.

“What insulted me the mos...

Two Guys Modeling a Dress Get Slammed with Homophobic Shouts and Slurs, Ryan Field Books

Two Guys Modeling a Dress Get Slammed with Homophobic Shouts and Slurs

I see it continue to happen day after day. Gay men are slammed by straights in the most offensive ways, and it can happen anywhere in the world. I have seen it for years in reviews for my own books on Amazon. A nasty straight who didn't even buy my book, will leave a nasty review on purpose. And I'm not the only one experiencing this. I talk to other gay male authors and they get it, too. Unfortunately, as long as Amazon allow...

The Double Standard with Men on the TV Series "The Recruit", Ryan Field Books

The Double Standard with Men on the TV Series "The Recruit"

I started watching a Netflix series titled, The Recruit, starring Noah Centineo. It's not the best series I've ever seen, but Centineo works hard to make it interesting and I'll keep watching until the last episode. This is a classic example of an actor carrying the entire series. Without Centineo, no one else on the show is worth mentioning or watching. And bravo to Centineo because that's not easy to do.

However, there is one thing ab...

Top Rabbi In Israel Isn't Happy With Openly Gay Knesset Speaker, Ryan Field Books

Top Rabbi In Israel Isn't Happy With Openly Gay Knesset Speaker

When I posted about the new openly gay Knesset Speaker in Israel, Amir Ohana, I was wondering how everyone in Israel felt about this. And sure enough  a top Rabbi is not thrilled at all. He's actually called speaker Ohana "infected" and he blames Ohana for the Meron disaster.

The name of the Rabbi is Meir Mazuz and he's not only very influential, he has strong ties with some of the most prominent members of the new government.

Appar...

Hawaii Lawmaker Introduces Yet Another Don't Say Gay Bill, Straight Women and Homophobia, Ryan Field Books

Hawaii Lawmaker Introduces Yet Another Don't Say Gay Bill

After living and going out to gay bars in New Hope, PA for over 30 years, I came to know and to understand drag culture without even realizing it. Drag culture was a huge part of the entertainment scene in New Hope and people came from miles around. They came from as far down as Washington D.C. or as far north as Maine.

With that said, I rarely ever saw a mean drag queen. I've seen campy and sarcastic drag queens, but never one  who would...

Likud Amir Ohana Israel's First Openly Gay Knesset Speaker, Ryan Field Books

Likud Amir Ohana Israel's First Openly Gay Knesset Speaker

In Israel, the Knesset elected openly gay Liku Amir Ohana as speaker. He is the fist openly gay person to be in this position.

The former Knesset speaker, Yariv Levin, left the position to become a justice minister.

This is a very important position and it comes with great power with regard to legislative agenda and pace. And it seems as if more and more openly gay people are filling these positions.

Here's more. It gets into a lot more...
