In Spite of DeSantis, Disney World Will Hold a Major Summit on Gay Rights, Ryan Field Books

In Spite of DeSantis, Disney World Will Hold a Major Summit on Gay Rights

I never thought I would have to see the day we would be revisiting these topics and issues, but along comes a homophobic man like DeSantis and there's a need to do this all over again. DeSantis has set us back 50 years, back to the days when don't say gay was normal in schools...and mostly everywhere...and back to the days when TV shows like MASH made jokes about us with characters like Klinger. Even in the 80s and 90s we ...

Al Franken's Loophole to Don't Say Say Gay Bill, Ryan Field Books

Al Franken's Loophole to Don't Say Gay Bill

I can't believe it's been a whole year since they signed the don't say gay bill in Florida. And now Governor Ron DeSantis wants to expand the bill to include all grades, right up to high school.

In a comedic attempt to laugh at the don't say gay bill and Florida, Al Franken came up with what might be a possible loophole. Although, I don't think it would work he claims instead of saying anything gay, we can sing it.

“Anyway, good luck in English class,”...

How JoJo Siwa's Company Allegedly Treated Her When She First Came Out, Ryan Field Books

How JoJo Siwa's Company Allegedly Treated Her When She First Came Out

Most of us are familiar with JoJo Siwa and her coming out story. I believe I posted about her when it first happened. But like many of us, I never thought twice about any backlash she might get. And clearly, according to this article, she did get backlash.

Siwa started working for Dance Moms, where she gained all her fame. Then in 2017 she moved to Nickelodeon. She then gained more fame at Nickelodeon and grew to be an even bi...

DeSantis Will Push Don't Say Gay Laws to All Grades, Ryan Field Books

DeSantis Will Push Don't Say Gay Laws to All Grades

Just when you think it can't get worse, this happens.

Governor DeSantis of Florida, known for his anti-gay rhetoric and laws, has now expanded the don't say gay law to all grades. This proposal doesn't require legislative approval.

This change would ban all discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity in grades 4 - 12.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre condemned the proposal saying “It’s wrong, it’s completely, utterly wron...

What the Term "Family Friendly" Really Means to Conservative Gay Haters, Ryan Field Books

What the Term "Family Friendly" Really Means to Conservative Gay Haters

In the past few years the term "family friendly" has been popping up on conservative venues because it's almost always code for anti-gay hate. There are TV and radio Networks that use it all the time. The problem is that not everyone knows this. If you ask most people what family friendly means they will assume you're talking about G-rated material, or a place to take their kids.

However, there is one website called The Ameri...

Uganda Votes on Harsh Anti-Gay Bill, Ryan Field Books

Uganda Votes on Harsh Anti-Gay Bill

Uganda will vote on an anti-gay bill which will focus on new penalties for anyone having same sex relations. If this law passes it will also mean that anyone caught having gay sex, or anyone who admits openly to being gay, will serve 10 years in prison.

The President last week called gay men deviants.

"Homosexuals are deviations from normal. Why? Is it by nature or nurture? We need to answer these questions," the 78-year-old said.

Here's a link. The article cont...

Gay Congressman Mark Takano Fighting For Global Gay Rights, Ryan Field Books

Gay Congressman Mark Takano Fighting For Global Gay Rights

10 years ago Mark Takano became the first openly gay man of color to become a congressman. This was back in 2013 and he's been fighting for gay LGBTQ rights ever since. And he's not just fighting for us here in the US, he seems to be taking his fight global.

For example, Japan is the only G7 country without legalized marriage. He recently visited Japan and had a lot to say about what's been happening there.

The Democrat believes the “Japa...

More on Florida's Don't Say Gay Laws, Ryan Field Books

More on Florida's Don't Say Gay Laws

I have a feeling that we are all being targeted unfairly with all that's been happening with these don't say day laws. First of all, I don't know one single gay man who would talk to kids about sex. The gay men I know, and have known for the most part despise even being in the same room with kids. Yes, there is a small amount of the gay male population that wants to have their own kids, but from what I have seen most don't. This image that all gay men want to...

PrEP Has Changed the Way We See HIV and AIDS and Now There's Apretude, Ryan Field Books

PrEP Has Changed the Way We See HIV and AIDS and Now There's Apretude

I don't think there is a gay man alive who doesn't know someone on PrEP. I remember posting about it when it first came out and so far it has changed the way we all look at HIV. However, according to this article it says that PrEP has only worked for white gay men and white bi men. I didn't know that.

The article claims that PrEP has lowered HIV cases in large cities, but across the board it hasn't done much. I didn't know that...

Gay Male Model and Online Influencer 35 Year Old Jeff Thomas is Dead, Ryan Field Books

Gay Male Model and Online Influencer 35 Year Old Jeff Thomas is Dead

This was shocking to read. Openly gay Jeff Thomas known to most as an internet influencer has died at the age of 35.

So far, there is no official cause of death, but the police are allegedly treating it like a suicide.

He was also the founder of an art consulting agency called "One Popsicle." A few celebrities have said this:

Actor Robert Gant wrote, “Oh Jeff. I’m so incredibly sorry to hear this news. God bless, friend.” Write...
