Satellite Sisters September 28, 2014: Julie, Liz and Monica

We do not have a single snarky thing to say about these two. A fairy tale wedding complete with vaporettos and burner phones is just what we need.

On today’s Satellite Sisters:

Awesome wedding, George and Amal.  So many nice touches, including the boat parade on the Grand Canal and burner phones for all guests.  We’d like to hate you but we just can’t.  Have a long and happy life together.

Moving on with our lives, Julie, Liz and Monica cover:

Julie’s Notes From Nana:  Advice for Bill and Hillary about how to be grandparents

Monica’s list from Epicurious of food words that are often mispronounced, including by us.

Arianna and Kobe:  According to the New York Times, they have more in common than you think.  Liz is not surprised.

Pepperidge Farm False Start:  Liz has a bone to pick with Pepperidge Farm.  Or does she?

Farewell, My Captain. We say our own fond family farewell to #2 Derek Jeter.

Satellite Sisters September 21, 2014: Liz, Sheila and Lian on Bad Nights Out, Bad Career Advice and Bad Health and Beauty Recommendations

What the heck is going on here?? Only Lian can explain.

On today’s Satellite Sisters, we get some of Sheila’s connectivity issues straightened out.  For now.

In the line-up:

Lian’s Shares Her Worst Girls’ Night Ever

Sheila Rocks Back-To-School Night

Liz Has Some Health Headlines Including This One From The New York Times:  Paleo, people! Get Your Amber Goggles. It’s A Whole Lifestyle Now!

Plus Lian’s review of Ben Stiller’s THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY.  In short:  Much better than she expected.

And Liz’s review of THE GUEST with Dan Stevens.  In short: Pretty much the opposite of Downton Abbey in every way. In a good way for a small percentage of Satellite Sisters listeners.

Satellite Sisters July 27, 2014: Our ComicCon question is this – Is cannibalism a good theme for a BBQ?

I passed this woman on the stairs at ComicCon. I am surprised she did not take someone's eye out with those things.

Today’s Satellite Sisters.Liz and Julie tackle:

Comic Con.  Is cannibalism a good theme for a BBQ? The Walking Dead thought so.

Russia versus McDonalds.  So there’s really a Consumer Protection Agency in Russia?

Ferris.  How best to celebrate Ferris’s birthday?  Liz adopted him August 4, 2004.

Me Week.  What should Julie do during her week alone this week?  Suggestions?
