Dec. 7, 2014: Sheila admits in Traffic Court “I’m no Erin Brockovitch.”

Sheila admits "I'm no Erin Brockovich" but does note that the people of traffic court look still look a lot like this.

On today’s Satellite Sisters,  Julie, Liz and Sheila tackle some headline news including:

The surprising Sony Pictures hacking and the implications for very average people in the entertainment business, not just Seth Rogan and James Franco who we now now are wildly overpaid.

The U VA rape scandal and Rolling Stone Magazine’s changing statements on what they reported from an alleged victim named Jackie

From there, Sheila shares her day in court.  Traffic Court.  No spoilers here but Sheila does admit ”I’m no Erin Brocovitch.”  And it all started near the urban sweatlodge.  Who would have predicted it?

From there, Sheila climbs the ladder to a few Federal offenses she may be currently be committing.  Losing your mail key may seem like a misdemeanor, but it’s not when you get called out in public at the post office.

Julie’s excited about the Royal Visit to NYC and Washington, DC . Will and Kate roll into town this week.  Let’s hope they get to have a little fun!

Plus what’s the color of the year for 2015? Julie’s got it and it sounds delicious.

She’s also got a new product scoop.  Would you wear moisturing tights?  We’ll explain.

And Sheila’s life is changed by a pair of slippers.  Not just any slippers.  SAS slippers. And she believes she might be the youngest person in the world wearing them.

So we have a special Saturday edition of Satellite Sisters to accompany you home on your Sunday travels.  We just hope you don’t get a middle seat next to a pig on a plane.  It could happen!

Sheila kicks off the Thanksgiving review and also fills us in on Lian’s activities at Vromans for their Indies First! Event, celebrating indepedent bookstores. As one of their top selling authors, Lian chips in to help, but Sheila did not quite get the memo.

How’d everything go at your place?  We sure hope you did not have one of the pie incidents that have been amply described on our Satellite Sisters Facebook Group.  Pies live a dangerous life. You gotta join to understand.  be sure to LIKE our Facebook Page, too.

Julie has a Good Idea/Bad Idea challenge.  What do you think? She also has some crazy Christmas present ideas that her sisters are not likely to really receive. She’s been studying the Neiman Marcus Christmas Catalog.

Frog eye salad? Snicker Salad? Cookie Salad?  We explore The United States Of Thanksgiving on The New York Times food site to see every state’s top recipe searches and frankly, we are shocked!  Where have we been all our lives???

Would you rather have a peacock made of flowers or a turkey made of cheese?

Liz also has some observations on seasonal holiday help at retail.  Sometimes, it’s a match.  Other times, you are apparently better off at TJ Maxx, or at least that’s what the salesperson at Macy’s told her.

And Sheila’s got another downstairs neighbor, now that Squeaky Fromme and Wolfman Jack have moved on.
