Thursday Tunes
I did a post for Silken Sheets for this Saturday (It hasn't posted yet) and I talk about my playlists. I can't write in silence. I have to write with background noise, but preferably to music.
So it got me thinking that I'd share three tunes each Thursday that I'd been listening to a lot.
Some I write to, others are ear worms.
In no particular order: QUEEN Fat Bottomed Girl I chose this Queen song because Queen is awesome. I just love them. Freddie Mercury was an amazing and talented individual. WILL I. AM. & BRITNEY SPREARS: Scream & Shout. The above song is an ear worm. It's been stuck in my head for days. I hear it every morning on the radio station. I didn't like it at first, but like all ear worms it's grown on me. AQUALUNG & LUCY SCHWARTZ: Cold I love this song. It's so hauntingly beautiful. So, what's on your playlist this week?

Anya Richards Visits
I'm thrilled to have Anya Richards here.
I love to have lots of authors here, but Anya is special to me. She's my critique partner, my long suffering critique partner.
Also, what's great about this blog tour is that (saying in a sing song teasing voice) I got to read this before it was published. Hehehe. One of the perks.
Now, I'm not a huge fan of M/M books, they're not my first choice. I don't read a lot of them, though there's a few I like and Dragon's Claim is one of them.
Hot. Hot. HOT.
I remember her first coming up with the idea, which I won't say, but I believe I said "Well, you made a virgin troll work, so I'm sure you can pull that off."
When she told me about Vidar (the book which is just before this one) I actually said "Are you crazy??!"
She always continues to surprise me. Which is great.
And the best thing about the Unveiled Seduction series, they're stand alone reads, but interconnected.
So a huge welcome to Anya, Tala and Herve to my blog.
Title: Dragon’s ClaimGenre: Paranormal Erotic RomanceFlame rating: Sorching
Released: 4/5/2013Publisher: Ellora’s Cave
Tour long Giveaway: $10.00 GC for Amazon, B&N or ARe AND a copy of either Stone-Hard Passion OR Fleeing Fate
Dates: 4/5/2013 thru 4/19/2013
Book three in the Unveiled Seductions series.Talathion Frostbane was tasked with saving his people and took on the responsibility unflinchingly. Yet all it takes to throw his entire existence into chaos is one encounter with the wyvern-shifter he spurned two hundred years before. The passion between them is as strong as ever, but there’s no escaping the expectations of the clan. And giving in to the all-consuming desire for the dragonkin would have devastating consequences.
When Hervé Cinq à Sept travels to the Fey city of Leaich, searching for answers after someone tries to kill him, what he finds rocks his world in a variety of ways and leads him down a path of inescapable hunger. As he finds himself on his knees, lost in desperate need and heading for heartbreak, he realizes why, as a species, the dragonkin no longer believe in love. It’s so easy to lose everything—pride, independence, control—when the one you want to claim can never be yours.

Pulling away, he stumbled aside to lean against the wall, unable to find his footing, either physically or emotionally.
“You okay?” Hervé was there, gripping his biceps, holding him up. “Tala, are you okay?”
“Yes.” By the Goddess, it was the only word he could get past the constriction in his throat, the renewed desire overtaking him. Even to his ears his voice sounded strange, deep and strong, echoing in the enclosure. “Yes.”
The concern in Hervé’s eyes deepened. “Let’s get out of here.”
“No.” Reaching out, he wrapped one arm around the wyvern’s neck, the other around his waist so as to pull him near. “Oh no, no.”
This need couldn’t wait, couldn’t be denied. Everything in him—his spirit, magic, body—strained to have the wyvern as close as possible, wanting to feel his domination, be consumed by his passion. Planting his hands on the glass so they bracketed Tala’s shoulders, Hervé tried to keep their bodies apart, but the great frame was shivering, the harsh rush of his breath betraying his desire.
Without thought Tala loosed his magic once more, felt it wrap around Hervé in an unbreakable grip.
“Closer.” He tugged with hands and elven power, refusing to be denied.
“No, Tala.” It was a growl, but even as it left his lips there was the first hot brush of skin on skin.
“I need you.” Goddess, how he needed, yearning beyond anything he’d know before clawing for release. “Closer.”
Their mouths met, Tala opening for the hard thrust of the dragonkin’s tongue, moaning at the scrape of teeth against his lip. But still Hervé held his body away and Tala tightened his hold in response. He wanted to tell Hervé it would be okay, that he needed his strength and force now, more than he ever had before. Needed to test his newfound freedom by surrendering it to the man he loved. But he couldn’t break the kiss, didn't even want to lose a scintilla of the contact.
BIO:
After living a checkered past, and despite an avowed disinterest in domesticity, multi-published erotic romance author Anya Richards settled in Ontario, Canada, with husband, kids, an adorable pup and a cat that plots world domination, one food bowl at a time. Her slightly darker alter-ego, Anya Delvay, emerges occasionally to write erotica.
Interested in all things historical and hysterical, Anya describes herself as intensely curious, (although the word ‘nosy’ has been bandied about) and a life-long people-watcher. Using what she’s discovered about people, places and various weird and wonderful things, Anya has written contemporary, historical and paranormal/fantasy romance novels, novellas and short stories for Samhain Publishing, Ellora’s Cave, Cleis Press and Spice Briefs.
To find out more, please drop by Anya’s website at www.anyarichards.com, follow her on Twitter or like her on Facebook.
Dragon's Claim is book three. Here's info on the other two HOT books in the Unveiled Seductions series and yeah, I've read both too. ;)
FLEEING FATE:
Book One in the Unveiled Seduction series.
Jakuta Dagbo knows bad weather’s approaching, even though the sky above the faie world is clear. And when Gràinne Bairdie walks into The Midnight Café wanting an arcane tattoo, he realizes the tempest raging into his life has nothing to do with wind and rain. Just one look at her brings his storm god libido, and the protective instincts he no longer trusts, to thundering life.
Gràinne’s a banshee on the run, desperate to claim the emotions she’s sure are rightfully hers and has no time to explore the sparks of need flying between herself and Jakuta. What she’s trying to do will bring the wrath of the Banshee Council down on her head, and she knows they’ll do anything to stop her.
Yet, as Gràinne and Jakuta peel back the layers of their lives, searching for the answers she needs, they can’t ignore the lightning-hot passion searing their blood. And when emotion reaches its apex, demanding complete surrender to the cyclone of desire, neither can resist. Even if it means Gràinne’s banshee wail of release will be her last.
STONE HARD PASSION (My favorite in the series so far, btw):
Book two in the Unveiled Seductions series.
Tattoo artist Jasmina is on a mission to entice her client Vidar into bed, but getting the shy, obscenely ripped troll to agree is going to take some work. Even telling him straightup she wants him doesn’t break through his reserved, polite demeanor. Just what does a jinn have to do? Maybe showing him the pleasures they can enjoy without jeopardizing their friendship will do the trick.
Beneath Vidar’s staid exterior his blood burns with the thought of having Jasmina for his own. He’s been carrying a torch for years, never thinking she’d be interested in a troll. Although he desperately wants to take Jasmina up on her offer, there’s something about him she doesn’t know, and he doubts she’ll still be interested if she finds out.
When Jasmina’s past threatens and Vidar offers her sanctuary, there’s no way to stop their passion from boiling to the surface. But despite their new closeness, secrets and dangerous enemies can destroy what they’ve built, forcing them to sacrifice everything to prove their love.

Cocks & Shamrocks Blog Hop
OOPS I forgot to mention, if you want a chance to win my prize (read down further for what it is) then leave a comment and tell me what your favorite comedy is.
WOOT!
Check out Ted the official mascot for the Big Cocks and Shamrocks Giveaway Hop! Isn't he handsome.
The Cabal of Hotness (Which I'm a member of) having been cooking up this hop with Close Encounters with the Night Kind & Read Between the Lines for some time.
And now it's here. Double WOOT!
The Cabal was formed at Romanticon 2012, though I wasn't there in person, I was in spirit and was suckered asked to join in on the awesome Fondled & Gobbled Anthologies.
And the rest they say is history.
The Cabal is offering a NICE grand prize. It's a Naughty Basket full of fun and includes:
It is called a Basket Full of Naughty. It contains the following in a Cabal of Hotness tote:
The items:
- tickler/flogger (one on each end)
- penis-shaped sour candies
- flask that reads "girls with class don't need a glass"
- g-spot vibe
- oral sex "essentials" kit
- glow in the dark erotic dice
We'll also include a $30 gift card and a Cabal of Hotness t-shirt.
And for coming to my blog in the hop I'm offering TWO prizes because some how I ended up on the linky list twice.
Two lucky winners at the end of the hop will an ebook of their choice from my backlist which can be found here.
So go. Hop. Have fun and be sure to check out Fondled & Gobbled.
If you like Wolves be sure to grab a copy of Going Back for Seconds which has my story Wild Wolf at Midnight.
Here's a little snippet to whet your appetite and it's for over 18 only. So if you're underage, shoo!
I removed my silk blouse and undid my bra, releasing the kraken of my heaving bosom.
“Mmmmrategrrr,” he said in a burst of growling, but it sounded like a mixture of Scooby Doo and one of those bad America’s Funniest Home Videos where people claim their dogs can talk. Wulfe was trying to talk despite his mutism. Apparently my breasts have some sort of healing power.
“Grrrr.” He began to unbuckle his belt and undo the button on his fly. I noticed the bulge then and my mouth went dry.
“Grrrr, yourself.”
His pants dropped to the floor and my breath caught in my throat.
Ding, ding, ding! Jackpot!
However, my sensible side whispered, that’s going to hurt. See what you’ve got yourself into? Wulfe’s cock was thick, long and standing straight up. The head, with a glistening bead of pre-cum, rested against his abs. You could grate cheese on his abs, though I’d never really liked that comparison. I really didn’t want to think about cheese at the moment, although I could picture him smothered in Cheese Whiz and the only way to save him was to lick it off.
A zing of anticipation shot through me.
He growled again and motioned vehemently to my pants. From his gestures I could guesstimate I was to remove my trousers, toot suite, or they were going to be torn from my body. I sat up and undid the buttons and realized I’d forgotten one crucial piece to my preparations. I was wearing my Spanx, the woman’s underwear equivalent to the Hoover Dam. I should’ve removed them before, that way the rolls would’ve settled naturally and the impression marks from the seams might’ve faded somewhat.
If he removed them now my imperfections would erupt from the confines of my undies like a tsunami of my pasty white skin.
And that was not flattering or sexy in the least.
“Fuck,” I cursed. I leaned over to protect my secret and headbutted Wulfe, hard, in the junk.

Update 2013
My goodness, it's been a whirlwind since the start of the year.
Not only did Fondled & Gobbled both Someone Had to Do It and Going Back for Seconds release, but I've been crazy busy trying to get stuff finished.
One WIP being Jared's story. Jared was Sheridan's brother in Mounted Release. I planned for Jared's story to be a novella, but it turned out to be a novel.
I also outlined another bear book and some other ones which are percolating, because I had a deadline that's pretty tight. Keep reading to find out about that! :)
Also writing another short for another Fondled & Gobbled set of volumes.
I think one of the biggest things which happened to me since the start of 2013 was the fact the book I've been revising for a YEAR finally sold.
I got another big important call in my writing career. I sold to Harlequin Mills & Boon Medical Romance and not one, but TWO books!
*WOOT* Of course it means I'm on deadline trying to get book
City Surgeon, Wilderness Doctor has been retitled Safe in His Hands and is coming out September 2013 in paperback and ebook. I'm thrilled. I've been dreaming about breaking into category for a long time and it finally happened.
I've started up Power 90 again, which I both love and HATE at the same time.
So 2013 this year, so far, has been crazy whirlwind of a ride and I couldn't be more happier. I also promise more posts. Posting seems to keep me sane during the deadlines.

Some exciting stuff
There's some exciting stuff coming up here.
Some blog hops and in February 22, 2013 I a short in an awesome anthology titled Fondled & Gobbled: Going Back for Seconds.
The virgin whose carefully planned hymen removal doesn't work out the way all the romance novels told her it would. A busty broad doing what she can to get over her penis anxiety--assisted by a cadre of male strippers. A not-so-bright (and not so "big") alien who comes to claim his life mate, and the Earth girl who wants to be claimed at all costs. A cursed, mute shapeshifter who needs to pop his cherry with his unsuspecting fated mate.
If you’re looking for the perfect romance with the perfect hero and heroine, this isn’t it! This is a series of spoofs, parodies, just-for-fun lighthearted take-offs. It’s for all us longtime, hard-core romance readers who can laugh at the clichés, purple prose and “suspend your disbelief” plot devices that haunt our beloved favorite genre.
Mine is the mute shapeshifter. Can you say "Ruh Roh"
You can find out ALL about the Cabal of Hotness and all the exciting opportunities and contests on our awesome Facebook page and our Blog.

It’s for all us longtime, hard-core romance readers who can laugh at the clichés, purple prose and “suspend your disbelief” plot devices that haunt our beloved favorite genre.
Mine is the mute shapeshifter. Can you say "Ruh Roh"

The Next Big Thing
So, A.M. Griffin pulled me out of the revision cave and tagged me in a game called The Next Big Thing.
Here's an explanation from A.M. Griffin's blog:
Writing can be a solitary business, and I've found this game useful because I can follow each author's tags and trace the authors who have tagged them. It also gave me an opportunity to extend the opportunity to other authors.
The Next Big Thing is a game where authors spend a bit talking about their books, works-in-progress, likes and dislikes.

And here is the link for A.M. Griffin:http://amgriffinbooks.blogspot.ca/?zx=f8dfd9c7eda0bbdbWho is an awesome author as well. Here we go!
What is the working title of your book?
Warrior Unbound
Where did the idea come from for the book? I wanted to write a Hex Appeal, but the one I was currently working on was NOT working for me. So I thought of one of my favourite places, which is North Bay, Ontario. The story just kind of unfolded from there.
What genre does your book fall under?Twilight, or rather paranormal erotic romance.
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?I would love Adam Beach to play the Warrior. I love him, he's an awesome actor. I haven't really thought about who could play the heroine Hattie. Any cute, accident prone red head would work.
What is the one sentence synopsis of your book? Crud. Really? I hate writing these things.
The balance of the world depends on an unsure medicine woman and a stone warrior who remembers nothing of his past.
I hate blurb and synopsis writing.
Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?
This book came out with Ellora's Cave on October 10, 2012.
How long did it take you to write the first draft of the manuscript?
The first draft didn't take long, about a week actually. I really shot out the words.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? No idea. I haven't had time to read at all, I've been on so many deadlines.
Who or what inspired you to write this book? North Bay, Ontario. I love visiting it and I love Lake Nipissing. It's gorgeous.
What else about your book might pique the reader's interest? The Warrior is incredibly hot. My critique partner adored him and there's, of course, lots of hot sex. :)
Now for those I tagged. Be sure to check out their The Next Big Thing Blog the week of November 19, 2012.
