Canada Day Blog Hop

 Happy almost Canada Day! WOOT! Well, technically it's July 1st, but today is the start of the Rabid Reads Canada Day Blog Hop. Awww yeah. I love being Canadian and heck, we produce some of the funniest people in the world up here like John Candy, Jim Carrey, Mike Meyers, Dan Akroyd ...to name a few. Now, whenever I get the chance I write books set in Canada. My first set in Canada book was Mounted Release with Ellora's Cave special Oh, Canada! call for submissions.
My next Canadian set book is my debut release from Harlequin Medical Romance. Safe in His Hands is set in Nunavut. I'm also a rarity in Medical Romance, not many Canadian authors there. ;)

Tonight he’d let the elders choose his future mate. Perhaps then he could move on.

Can you tell us a bit about Dangerously Yours?Dangerously Yours is the standalone follow-up to my sci-fi, erotic romance release Dangerously Mine. Dangerously Yours picks up where Dangerously Mine left off. Princess Sa’Mya has just been dumped (of course she doesn’t describe it using that term, LOL) by King Taio of Sonis so that he could mate with Eva. Sa’Mya is leaving Sonis and is trying to put as much distance between herself and her treacherous uncle as possible. Things definitely don’t go as planned when her and her crew are taken hostage by the sexy human space pirate, Kane Epps.
Do you have to read the first book in this series or is it a standalone?Dangerously Yours is a standalone. I wrote it purposefully that way. But hopefully after reading it, and if you haven’t already read Dangerously Mine, it’ll inspire you to go back and read it! Tricky, I know. ;-)
What appeals to you most about Aeon Line?I love sci-fi so everything appeals to me. LOL
Do you have anything new in the works?The third book, Dangerously Hers has been picked up by Ellora’s Cave and the edits should begin shortly. I’m also working on the fourth and fifth books in this series as well. Fans of Dangerously Mine will be happy to know that Allysan’s story is the fifth book. I’ll finally rescue her from the blasted brothel (Yay)!
What do you like to do in your free time?I love to travel. If I have any span of time where I can get away for three to four days I will! If I had it my way, I’d spend all of my free time on the beach somewhere. But since that doesn’t happen as often as I would like for it to, I’m usually at a child’s sporting event rooting them on.
What is one thing readers don’t know about you or can’t Google about you?Good question. I don’t know the answer. My normal everyday life is quite boring. If you follow me on Twitter you’ll see that I occupy my time by semi-torturing my daughter’s guinea pig (not torturing really, unless you consider taking pics and posting them on Twitter torture). That’s usually the highlight of my week.
Where do you typically write?I write sitting on my bed in my bedroom. I’ve tried to write in different places in the house and even out of the house, but I tend to get easily distracted and it doesn’t work out very well. I keep thinking that someday I’ll buy a desk and put it in the family room so that I could be more sociable while writing, but somehow I don’t think it’ll work out either. It’ll be pretty hard to write steamy sex scenes while the kids are watching Sponge Bob.
Any tricks or tips for world building?Tricks or tips…hm *taps chin*. I would say not to go overboard while world building. Yes, I’m creating an imaginary world from my cray-cray mind, but I try to approach it as “This could probably happen” as opposed to “This is sooo far fetched.”

So I kind of fell off the handle there again. I was in hard core deadline mode for my second medical from Harlequin. Glad to say I made it, but my brain may not have.

 It melted just a bit.

After I turned in my second book on April 25th, I relaxed. Or tried to.

 I'm ready to get back into writing, but I have camp prep for Brownies this weekend.

 So the writing will have to wait until next week. Hopefully by then I'll really be ready to pump out the words.

I did the edits for Mounted Release's sequel yesterday.

 Jared's story PRIVATE RELEASE will be coming out soon. I hope. 

Stay tuned and I should have a date. Until then, I hope you're getting Spring weather wherever you are!

Random Googling

Writers will often random Google themselves, especially when they're procrastinating like I'm currently doing.
