Three, Two, One ... THUNDERBIRDS ARE A GO!

I can't believe Christmas is in three days! WHAT? This has to be the fastest December ever, probably due to the storms which shut down the schools for almost a week.

My kids are bouncing off the walls, to say the least. I'm just enjoying watching my repetoire of required Christmas specials. By chance I discovered a new Vicar of Dibley. Well, not new it came out in 2004/2005, but we don't get them straightaway here. I did purchase a copy of the Vicar's 10th Anniversay Specials yesterday and it completes my Vicar collection since I already had a Wholly Holy Happy Ending with the delicious Richard Armitage.

Here's a clip from my favorite part:

ALIVE!

No, I'm not dead under this mound of snow, and yes it is a mound. We got another 25 cms last night and it's still snowing. I shovel one spot and by the time I get back it looks like I didn't even shovel at all. It's like old adage of a grain of sand or pushing a boulder up a mountain for eternity. *sigh*

I've been quiet because I've been sick and just busy with holiday prep and writing. I'm working on my third gladiator book and another little short that's been fun to write.

I have some good news though! I sold the second gladiator book to Ellora's Cave. It was titled Blood Atonement, but it's getting retitled to something else. I'll let you know when I get a confirmation on the title.

Other than that I'm bracing for Christmas. I'm really looking forward to the Christmas holidays and hibernating for a couple weeks with lots of baked treats, hot chocolate and watching Christmas specials with my kidlets.

New Release & Snowmageddon

I so thrilled that Healer of the Heart is now out from Eternal Press. It is the third book in the Enchantress Series, I'm still writing that fourth book. LOL!You can find out more about it here.As for Snowmageddon, where I live is getting absolutely blasted by snow since Sunday. The schools were closed again, and I live on the same street as my school, but there are six foot drifts and close to a meter recorded snowfall, and guess what it is still snowing. We just got another warning and the mayor is thinking about declaring a state of emergency. I lived in Toronto during Mel Lastman's reign when Snowmageddon hit Toronto and he declared a state of emergency, so believe me I'm not mocking Joe Fontana at all.Anyways, that is where I am at. How are you? :)

Fantastic Review & Other Assorted Things

So I got my first reader review for Gladiator's Revenge and I couldn't be more thrilled. The reader absolutely adored it and I'm over the moon. I had been worried about Taranis's reception. SO YAY!

I'm still sick with a sinus infection, and the last time I had this it turned into walking pneumonia this summer. I'm having a hard time breathing and I'm praying it's not another relapse. Boo! I have WAY too much to do, like write the third book for my Ancient Rome series.

Tuesday is my release from Eternal Press, the third book in my Enchantress Series Healer of the Heart.

Also Christmas is coming, and though my decorations are up my baking is sorely falling behind. Hoping I can get over this infections hump so I can start to bake again. I have BIG baking plans this Christmas, like Pioneer Woman's Rum Cake, Nanimo Bars, Yule Logs and Oreo truffles. Mmmm.

We're also in a snowsquall warning and supposed to get 8 inches of snow. It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas here.

So how are you this fine Sunday?

New Release-Gladiator's Revenge

It's been a long time since I had an Ellora's Cave Release, and I'm absolutely thrilled that Gladiator's Revenge is now available. I had so much fun researching Ancient Rome and writing this story.

I hope you enjoy Taranis' story as well.
You can read an excerpt here.

Ch-Ch-Changes

So in a few days I'll be getting a new look courtesy of Rae Monet Designs. Well,  I'm actually getting a sneak peak tonight and I am super excited. Because Rae doesn't work with Wordpress and I don't understand it really, I'm moving my blog back to Blogger. I'll have a link for when it goes live and this blog is going to disappear. [image error] It was a great home for the first few years, but I need to move on, my brand has changed and so has my voice and I need a design that works.

As the year winds down and I get buried in edits (LOL! My own fault I know) I know 2011 is going to be a great year!

NaNo Day 18: Flugabuh & A HOT Cover

So today is also my Dad's b-day. He's been having a rough couple years since the amputation and the diabetes, but I'm HOPING that next week some time I can take him to see the new Harry Potter movie as his b-day gift. He loves HP just as much as me. We've gone to see almost every HP movie together, except for the Half Blood Prince because when it came out was just after he was diagnosed with diabetes and had the amputation, so he was not in a movie theatre move.

I also can FINALLY share my cover pretty for my December 3rd release from Ellora's Cave GLADIATOR'S REVENGE! WOOT!

I am so excited for this book to come out. I just loved the characters and it's my first Ellora's Cave release in a LONG time.

Here's the blurb:

Taranis had one thing on his mind since the Romans enslaved him. Revenge. Until he laid eyes on the innocent beauty of Lavina, a daughter of his enemy. It was then that he knew how to wreak revenge against those who wronged him, by taking one of

Rome's daughters over and over again.

Lavina is humiliated by the decadence, greed and violence of

Rome. When she meets the gaze of the condemned gladiator across the Circus Maximus he stirs a deep yearning in her heart, but it is not meant to be. She is destined to marry a man who's soul is as black as night.

On a whim, Emperor Nero grants Taranis freedom with his choice of a wife. Taranis chooses Lavina, much to the horror of her parents. Only Lavina is not disgusted by this prospect and revels in Taranis' touch. He finds himself caring for and falling in love with the little Roman. Yet, a shadow falls on their happiness and soon Lavina will have to choose between her home and her heart.

You can read the excerpt here.

I've been bombarding my poor EC editor lately and my Samhain Editor just told me another round of edits is coming to get INCARNATE's edits wrapped up before the New Year. I guess that's what I get for being productive or something. LOL!

Also Fox's Bride my Cerridwen Press release is moving to EC's new line Blush as Cerridwen Press will be no more, but Blush promises to be very exciting and Fox's Bride will be listed with all my other EC books, so all in one place for easier access. YAY!

And that's it with me. My word count is still sitting about 4k. I don't think I'll pull off NaNo this year, but stranger things have happened.
