Teaser Tuesday!

Nothing like an ice storm and a teething baby to start this day off right! ;) On the good news front, it's Teaser Tuesday and that means another little tidbit from BY BLOOD! Yay!

So, in last week's teaser, we got a little peek at Josh. Here's a glimpse of Simon to balance things out!

“What are we doing?” I asked again. My skin was humming, every cell awake. I shook my hair out, let the breeze ruffle it around my face, reveling in a sudden feeling of freedom, recklessness. I laughed, giddy. “Did...

Teaser Tuesday

So, starting today I'm going to be sharing a little teaser from BY BLOOD each week. And, as a bonus, I'll add a picture of one of Emma's Oxford haunts!

These will be random, no-context bits and bobs. :-) Here we go!

I got halfway down the block before Josh caught up with me. “Hey, wait up,” he said and grabbed my arm when I stumbled a little.

“So did you punch him?” I giggled. If there had been a fight, I was glad Josh won. He kept his hand on my arm as we walked.

“What?” Josh asked.

For a second...

Announcement!

I'm very excited to announce that as of today, my novel BY BLOOD is available as an ebook on Amazon!! (Nook and iBookstore coming soon!)

Here's a description:

For 17-year-old Emma Wong, spending a summer in England should be a dream come true. Gorgeous scenery? Check. Lots of hot guys with accents? Yes, please.

Spending two months with her mom, Dr. Mike (don’t call him her stepdad), and their pooping, puking infant son? Not what she had in mind. It’s a disaster even her favorite cherry red leath...

What I've Been Working on Lately

I'd like to say that my silence over the past few months is because I've been busy closing book deals and writing lots of cool stuff. Alas, no. But I HAVE been working on something...something incredibly amazing and much more life changing...

A baby!! :-D

Specifically, THIS baby:

Ain't he cute? :-)

MAJOR HOTSAUCE and I are thrilled to welcome to the world our first little munchkin, Oliver (his friends call him Ollie. Or Chunka Chunka. ;-)). We think he's the coolest, cutest, super awesomest baby...

Bookanista Review: IF I LIE

At the moment I'm finding it hard to believe we're already almost halfway through September. But that doesn't mean I'm not enjoying the cooler temps, bright blue sky, and lack of humidity. Fall is my favorite season and I couldn't be happier with the way this fall is going so far. Not only has the weather been fabulous, but MAJOR HOTSAUCE got some great career news, and we have a few other big things to look forward to in the coming months as well. :-)

It's been tough this summer for me to fin...

Bookanista Review: Timepiece

My blogging this summer has been woefully lacking, I'm afraid. I was MIA once more on account of vacation...my baby bro got married this weekend!! Congrats to him and his beautiful bride! It was a wonderful wedding on a beach in Maine, with a tented reception, and boiled lobsters for dinner! Such a blast.

But now it's time to get down to business...with another Bookanista review!

This week I'm talking about TIMEPIECE, by Myra McEntire. This is the sequel to HOURGLASS, so if you haven't read tha...

Bookanista Review: Ten

Hello! Hello! Long time no blog. I've been on vacation! :-)

But it's back to work this week!! So it's Bookanista time!

This week I have the great pleasure of reviewing TEN by Gretchen McNeil, a fellow Bookanista. I was fortunate to get my hands on an ARC of this; it comes out in stores on September 18th. So, while you're waiting, here are a few reasons why you should preorder and/or put this book on your to-be-bought pile!

From Goodreads:

And their doom comes swiftly.

It was supposed to be the wee...

Bookanista Review: Deadly Cool

Happy belated 4th of July! It was a quiet holiday for me. After all the stress and sadness of the last few weeks, I've been taking it easy. The puppies and I went for frozen yogurt and watched a few neighborhood fireworks on our way home. Koko and Scrabble are scaredy cats when it comes to the loud booms and crackles, so we didn't stay out for too long. Still, it was fun to see the sky light up all around us.

In keeping with our fun beach read theme around here, this week I'm talking about DEA...
