Brand New Bookanistas!

So...today is a very, very exciting day! We're celebrating the start of summer and another great beginning: THE RELAUNCH OF THE BOOKANISTAS! New members, new logo, new website design and a whole lot more of the book love we all adore! First, our gorgeous new logo!

Exciting News!

So, as I've mentioned in the past, BY BLOOD is going to be getting a perty new cover for its paperback release this summer. I am SOOOO excited about that (and can't wait to share it with you!). Cupcake Weekend!

This past weekend was Ollie's baptism...as well as a little family get-together to celebrate. So I decided I'd work on my cupcake skills! I made two different varieties...Almond Lemon and Mississippi Mud. I was especially ambitious and tried to make the almond cupcakes gluten free to accommodate some family dietary restrictions...only to realize after the fact that the almond paste I used has gluten in it! So I won't share that recipe...though they did end up tasting quite yummy. :-)

Bookanista (Movie) Review: THE HOST

This weekend MAJOR HOTSAUCE did a majorly awesome thing...he babysat the bug Saturday night so I could go to the movies! I haven't actually seen a movie in the theater since Pitch Perfect, which was like September or October, and I was dying for a little "me" time.
