Bookanista Review: Touching the Surface

Hello dearies! It feels like a long time since I've blogged, especially a new Bookanista review! I guess that's what moving, vacation, and a nine month old (who just started crawling!!) will do to you. But I'm back today to talk about a book I'm VERY excited about!

For this week's review I read TOUCHING THE SURFACE by fellow Bookanista Kimberly Sabatini. It's funny - I've said I hardly ever read afterlife books, and this was my second one in as many months!

From Goodreads:

Experience the afterli...

Moon Child Cover Reveal!!

Hello there! My sincere apologies for the radio silence over the past couple of weeks. MAJOR HOTSAUCE and I have been moving and BOY has that been a chore! We're still navigating piles of boxes in the new house, and the Internet hasn't been installed yet, but we're getting there. It's nice to *almost* not be living out of suitcases anymore.

In the midst of the move, exciting book things have been happening as well! Namely, the MOON CHILD cover was finalized!! I'm SOOO excited to share it with...

By Blood Review: The Portland Book Review

I'm so proud to share with you the following review from The Portland Book Review. :-)

By Blood

By Tracy E. Banghart

If you are looking for a YA summer read that is full of adventure, family drama, romance and mystery, look no further than Tracy Banghart’s novel By Blood. The action begins immediately as readers find 17-year-old Emma Wong trapped on a plane bound for Oxford, England. It is summer and vacationing in London is the last thing Emma had in mind. She pictured hanging out with her dad...

Who Doesn't Like FREE?! :-)

I'm really sorry for the radio silence on the blog the last few days. The packing and preparing to move has been just a *wee* bit overwhelming. I'll be VERY happy next week, when we're settled in the new house and not worried about how we're going to move the 200lb antique buffett in our dining room. O_O

At any rate, I DID want to stop in and mention that BY BLOOD is FREE on Amazon Kindle today and tomorrow!! So if you're looking for a fun/mysterious/romantic read for your long weekend...or a...

What's Up Wednesday

“What’s Up Wednesday” is a fun weekly meme started byJaime MorrowandErin Funk. From Jaime:It’s similar in some respects to theCurrently…post, but it’s been whittled down to only four headings to make it quicker and more manageable on a weekly basis. You’re invited to join us if you’re looking for something to blog about, a way to let your blog friends know what’s been going on with you.

Critter Love

Here's a scary thought...MAJOR HOTSAUCE, the bug, our myriad pets and I are moving in less than two weeks! LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!! Have we packed? Um, not really. Luckily we're not going TOO far, so we can take a couple trips if necessary, but even so this move thing is going to be hectic, sweaty (NC in July, people!), and stressful.

I actually love living in new places, which is fortunate being an Army wife, but the moving bit is SO not fun. And neither is saying goodbye to wonderful new friend...

Bookanista Review: 3:59

Happy Thursday! Boy has this been a busy week! I hope y'all have had a good one!

I'm so excited that I've been able to find some time to read recently...especially because the books I've been reading have been GREAT!! This week's is no exception. Unfortunately 3:59 by Gretchen McNeil doesn't come out until September, but you can (and should! ;-)) preorder it now.

From Amazon:

FromPossessandTenauthor Gretchen McNeil comes a deliciously eerie science-fiction horror story in the tradition of Lisa M...
