Puppy Kisses

Displaying 20140907_095150.jpg
This is Elvis and he loves to give puppy kisses all day long. What's better than being puppy kissed awake LOL.
I asked Elvis this morning, what should mommy blog about and he turned from his perch on the back of the sofa to lick my nose. LOL.Displaying 20140814_124506.jpg I, in turn said, oh you want me to blog about puppy kisses LOL, so that's how the blog came to be this morning.
Elvis is one of my fur babies and is three years old. He's a full blood long haired red Dachshund.
He loves looking for little lizards to chase and squirrels to tree.As well as burrowing under the covers. So we always have a throw on the sofa for him (and mommy to stick her feet under). He's also a nose licker.

Fun Drink Friday - The Cape Cod w/ Absolut Vodka

Cape Cod THE CAPE COD Ingredients2 Parts Absolut Vodka3 Parts Cranberry Juice1 Wheel LimeHow to mix                           Fill a chilled highball glass with ice cubes.                            Add all ingredients. Garnish with lime.About this drinkThe Cape Cod is probably named after the Massachusetts peninsula because they actually grow cranberries there (and the drink contains, well, loads of cranberry juice). But the drink also shares some features with the East-Northern outpost -- the true New Englander knows how to time it for just when the reds match. As Summer is going to be turning into Fall, one of my favorite times of the year. Here's one of my favorite drinks, The Cape Cod. ... Wait a true New Englander :-/ hell people, I am from New England. Just dish up the drink and hand it over. I don't care about the reds matching, just if it's made right and the flavor is good Can you tell I am no bartender LOL.

Writers Supporting Writers

SSRASUNSHINE STATE ROMANCE AUTHORS
Yesterday was a great day indeed! I had the pleasure of being a guest at one of the The Sunshine State Romance Authors monthly meetings.
The program was on Effective Dialogue given by Author Anna Small. Hey I don't know about you but I can always use tips, help and support for my writing.

Sunshine State Romance Authors is a chapter of Romance Writers of America.

It's nervous enough being a first time attender and with those of us with a little anxiety it doubles, LOL.
But the warmth, happiness and over all atmosphere of being with these writers, was absolutely fabulous!!I found a lot of support and loved being welcomed with open arms and smiles.
There was even a gift give away at the end of the program. I was one of the drawn names!!!! *Squeal*(I never win anything! so it was very exciting!)I won a book written by Jessica Nelson Love on the Range
And I will be reading it, after my grandmother.  for you see, I went to see her after the program. She is 89 years old and is recovering from a stroke. She asked if she could read it when I proudly displayed my winnings   and I never, ever say no to her.  She's just to important in my life.
So, yes, I will be returning to visit these awesome authors again. I'm looking forward to a membership with The Sunshine State Romance Authors and renewing my membership with RWA.
Sometimes the writer can lead a solitary life. It's good to know there are others out there who know what you're going through and who support you and your career, because they are living it as well.
THANKS SSRA for a great time and learning adventure!!!
