NASCAR character...

Okay I don't have the actual bible yet, but I am able to get a sneak peek of my character, and I love her already!!
It looks like she's going to be either 19 or 20, and a graduate of NASCAR"s technical program--

She wants to be a mechanic!!

How cool is THAT? I took Ag Mech in high school (AKA, welding class / metal shop) and was the only girl. I TOTALLY think this girl would be my BFF if I met her in real life.

A Lucky Place...

I realized recently that I discovered a magical, lucky place.

Here's how it works:

I go to a specific Barnes & Noble and buy a book.

Then I go to the Chipotle across the parking lot and read the first couple chapters. The Chipotle part is important-- I can't just buy the book and take it home for it to work-- I MUST go to Chipotle after I purchase it.

Then I go home.

Later, this book ends up on THE NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER LIST. Every. Single. TIme.

It works like a charm! In 2007 I went to this

Wednesday Randoms

*I made myself a custom mood theme and now I am obsessed with adding moods to posts.

*I am working on an article for DISCOVERY GIRLS. YAY!

*Things are looking good for PRADA & PREJUDICE to be stocked at the chains. Once upon a time, I thought that the chains just picked up all the new books from the major pubs. They don't, and thanks to the current "economic climate" many debuts aren't being stocked. I won't know for sure until a few weeks before it drops, but at least it appears promising!

Cover Comparison

Just spotted the cover for the Audrey, WAIT! Paperback.

Which one do you like better?

Edited to add:

I also noticed that they seem to have changed the cover for "HOTTIE" a razorbill titleby Jonathon Bernstein.

The original is on the left, the updated version on the right. Your preference?

Your Mission: Make Sara read PRIDE & PREJUDICE

Okay, stop what you're doing. Right now.

Go to HERE, and tell Sara Cross (Author of DULL BOY, coming later this year!) that she absolutley must read PRIDE & PREJUDICE.
If she gets 50 comments, she'll attempt it. 100 and she'll read the whole thing.

Jane Austen would be horrified if you didn't do this.
