It's Agent Day!

Today is Agent Day! Yay!! I was pretty excited about this, becuase truthfully, I don't think I could ever tell my agent enough how much I <3 her.

Zoe F. Shacham, of Nancy Yost Literary, is my agent. Also, FYI, her name rhymes with Moe and not Joey. It totally threw me off on our second phone call, when she introduced herself and I realized I was running around calling her Zoey.

Do you see how adorable she is?

She's very trendy, too, total New Yorker. She's also an author, and her debut is co...

And now, to interupt the regularly scheduled blogging....

I don't often blog about non-book stuff. I prefer to focus this blog on professional topics. But today, I witnessed something so incredibly awe inspiring I wanted to talk about it.

Just over a week ago, a man walked into a local coffee shop and gunned down four officers before fleeing. One officer managed to shoot him in the stomach, but he still got away. For two days, a manhunt was on, looking for the man who would commit such a travesty. A lone officer came across him in the middle of the n...

Whew. The last two days have been very, very sketchy. Like, 28 DAYS LATER SKETCHY. As we entered Oregon at around 3:48 this morning, I was glancing at the map, and lo and behold, i saw how close we were to George, Washington. A few hours, really. I pointed it out to Rhonda.

And that was when the lightbulb went on. The...

*Yay! Prada & Prejudice has sold foreign rights into Indonesia and Spain! It sold into France quite some time ago, and I'm ELATED to have THREE countries I've never been to but where you can soon find Prada & Prejudice.

*My daughter, who is 2 1/2, has taken to saying "booty! booty!" and shaking her butt. It's completely hilarious and kind of horrifying and I have no idea where she got it. And when i say shaking her butt, I mean she's dropping it like its hot.

*the YOU WISH cover is now up on ...

Stupid Prada Summer Tour: Pitstop 2: George, Washington

Read Saundra's Recap of day one!

Whew! Rhonda, Saundra and I have arrived safely in George, Washington. It's a tiny little town in Eastern Washigton, home of the tumble weeds and not much else.

Rhonda's hair is a wee bit scary and Saundra has dark circles under her eyes (and let's not even talk about the monkeys) but I look fresh and perfect, of course. I guess driving 2,608 miles in 48 hours does that to a person. Rhonda really wanted to sell our books at truckstops along the way, but we talk...
