Two separate State organisations (Special Inestigating Unit and the Public Protector), who have been investigating corruption among the police are coming under a counter attack. On Monday, National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) confirmed that it was investigating alleged misappropriation of funds during a refurbishment of Hofmeyr's offices. Last week Independent Newspapers had evidence of police investigation against the Public Protector Thuli Madonsela.
