Jess enjoys reading and writing dark fiction and thoughtful prose.

She also takes great delight in exploring the essay, flash fiction, and poetry genres.

Her debut chapbook about heartbreak, let it rip , was published in late summer 2023 via Bottlecap Press.

A Musepaper.org essay prize winner, her poems, flash fiction, and essays have appeared in or are forthcoming in 34th Parallel Magazine, The Five-Two, and Whale Road Review. Her genre work has appeared in Mystery Tribune and Black Hare Press anthologies.

Her hobbies include yoga, sketching, astrology, and slowly overcoming her occasional speech anxiety through microcasting.

Many thanks to NRCM for including my St. Croix Island photos in their weekly series!

As I’ve mentioned a few times during this 30‑day challenge, I’ve been taking photos and videos around Downeast Maine — sometimes in lesser‑documented spots like the Musquash Esker Trail, and sometimes in more well‑known places like the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse in Lubec.
