writting struggles
Nobody wants errors but sometimes they happen. the back cover of the book I wrote The Snake Dragons had errors on the "Look Inside feature" on the Amazon website, I was disheartened but carried on. It took months to fix. but now the "look inside" feature is fixed. Book look great. I am so happy that Amazon has a way for Indi writers to display their works, and give artists opportunities. the snake dragons is a dark medieval fantasy that follows the travels of outlaw Desiderio Roman and his confrontations with dragons and romance and possession by a treacherous witch.

Writing books
Being that this is the first book I ever finished writing I am seeing the difficulty in getting exposure and noticed, I keep writing and evolving the Idea of this fantasy world Purg. I am almost done with another book concerning this world and the struggle between beliefs of the Last Breath, the theft and magic and deadly consequences that occur within the madness of the possession of witches and clerics....romance and the desire to be loved by complex characters without conditions.

Comparison of Woolf and Howard
thoughts on Robert E Howard and Virginia Woolf, two of my favorite authors, and a brief comparison, if I may be so bold...."To the Light House" was Virginia Woolf's best book I think. She was very much like Robert E Howard (author of fantasy and Conan series) in her connection to her mother and father. Howard's Best work was The Scarlet Citadel, I think. He wrote mostly short fantasy stories. His character Conan, became very famous, but Howard's writing had never been given proper notice, when I feel It should have!!! He is the best fantasy writer ever, in my eyes. Anyway, back to the comparisons.... when Howard's mother died, Howard went out to his car and shot himself, when Woolf's mother died, she went out to a lake, put rocks in her pockets and then waded out in the water and drown herself. Both writers are the best introspective, guttural writers I have ever read. Their motivations and developments of characters come from real places within them, and they seemingly wrote with ease. I know both authors are far apart on subject matter, but their trueness to inner thought and even their pains came out in their writing, and made their prose more vivid and emotionally driven, and sadly, it was their depression that also took them both too soon.

The Snake Dragons despair in Purg
I started writing this book, The Snake Dragons, The Last Breath World Of Purg, originally about grave robbers, in a medieval world, who stole gold and jewelry from the tombs of dead kings. The grave robbers had to battle horrendous monsters to achieve their goal. But the gold and gems seemed too ordinary, so I changed the idea to grave robbers stealing the Last Breath of dead kings and tribal leaders. The Breath always had to be preserved by magic users, clerics, and they had to put it securely in a chalice. Story aspires to portray the longing, or interests of humanity in an afterlife or a continuation of some type of living soul after death. This fictional society in my story is obsessed with the Last Breath; leaders institute dangerous limitations of Last Breath preservation; leaders, witches and clerics are very competitive egotistical about their rite of being preserved and their mystical powers over the souls. Deadly dangerous Stone Giants, Tree Trolls and snake dragons and deceptive siren witches try to steal the Breath, keep it for themselves. Anyway, some men and women, groups of lower classes became grave robbers who rebel against their banishment by hierarchy of society from any chance of Last Breath preservation. These grave robbers go and vandalize tombs and steal the Breath and breathe it, as an intoxicant that creates euphoria and hallucinations . But was the Breath a futile hope for some sort of afterlife? or is life just live for now, as that is all we got left? read The Snake Dragons at amazon books on kindle for this strange obsessed magical world....

Writing books
The Last Breath World Of Souls: The Grave Robber's Despair is my first book ever. I have always wanted to write. There is a follow up book I am working on currently called The Scarlet Moonblade. anyway. I also have added a special edition of The Grave Robber's Despair, with art that I did and there are some text edits too. The special edition of the Last Breath World Of Souls: The Grave Robber's Despair is called The Snake Dragons and it starts at chapter 1 where outlaw graverobbers, Desiderio and Westminster, find themselves chased out of a barn by Roughs. these roughs are evil king rangers. and the adventure begins from there. The Snake Dragons is also on Amazon, and on kindle, though covers are slightly different. you can also see a seek peek as you can read the first several pages...This special edition you avoid the prologue and the story just begins. thnx D.

The Grave Robber's Despair
My book The Last Breath World Of Souls: The Grave Robber's Despair begins at chapter 1. King Chutney's Tomb. there is a reference before the chapters concerning the terms character's etc. and then there is a prologue. Desiderio in his journal Tells of his relationship with Parson Kelter a preserver of King Gustoler's Last Breath. Desiderio is a consummate thief, a seeker of the Last Breath and he seeks it, with Alana, a love interest. though his love gets in his way to judge the dragons they face and his love is stronger than the dragon's visceral hate. and all Hell comes down on them.....

Intrepid Fantasy
the best way I can summarize my book The Last Breath World of Souls is...In Lord Of The Rings you had the ring, in Star Wars you had the Force, in this novel you have the Last Breath, where the Breath can be an imposter as well as a saving element within a witch's heart. Desiderio desperately seeks redemption for himself against the nefarious sister snake dragons Critia, and Sarehole at two different points of his journals. Wonderful fantasy element in story from the mind of the character through his writings, I was hoping to convey the the magic to come across as organic and from sources like plants and air and within the body of the magic user...

fantasy book/David B. II
The Last Breath World Of Souls: The Grave Robber's Despair was inspired by a combination of my experiences in fantasy RPG gaming back in the 80's, Robert E Howard Books and Alan Dean Foster books, and an extension of my real life experiences in dealing with the difficult aspect, in life, of losing people in your life that you love. "The Last Breath" is a magical quality in this world Purg. the peoples of this medieval world obsesses over the Last Breath but it seems only the Kings and affluent have their Breath protected by clerics and complex tombs are made to house deceased leaders and well to dos. Monsters and traps protect the tombs as there are those who are resentful that their Breath is not protected when they die. also the story is influenced loosely on real life...When my mother died in 2003, in hospice care, at our home, my father was with her. He had expressed at the time of her death that he heard a distinct Breath, an exhaling, and when he hear it, he knew she was gone.
