Michael S. Humphreys was born in Columbia City, Indiana to East Tennessee transplants, Fred and Marlene Humphreys. He has called the Appalachians of Northeast Tennessee home since he was 12 years old.

Humphreys has a BS in Journalism from East Tennessee State University where he also received a commission into the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. During his 25 years in the Army, he served multiple combat tours including Desert Storm, Kosovo and two tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom. In December 2013, then the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Humphreys retired from the Army while serving the North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command at Peterson, Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

For 2022

Another year has passed. Though I have fallen short of many goals for 2021, in the interest of maintaining a positive outlook, I’m only going to focus on my achievements from the previous year and my new goals for 2022.
