How "indispensable" are you?

Everyone is dispensable, in this world; and if you think otherwise, think again. But, with God, we are "indispensable" (1 Corinthians 12:22), as "[He] has placed the parts in the body...just as he wanted them to be" (12:18). So, instead of thinking that you are irreplaceable, might you remember where you stand and know who truly values, appreciates and wants you. #KnowYourPlace

How do you remain peaceful in conflict?

"In this world you will have trouble" (John 16:33 NIV), as there will always be a storm or war brewing, and unfortunately, costing many lives and ties along the way. But, even in the stickiness and muddiness of turmoil, you can still remain calm and cordial. For "in [him] you may have peace", as "[he has] overcome the world" (16:33). So, if you seek tranquility and stillness, might you reach out to The Peacemaker. #FindCommonGround & #KeepThePeace

How big is your village?

Going it alone makes for a long and lonely journey; and encouraging you and I to expand our village is Ecclesiastes, as he tells us that "two are better than one, because...one can help the other up" (4:9-10). So, if you want to avoid "toiling" (4:8), being "miserable" (4:8) and "overpowered" (4:12) alone, might you consider adding to your village. For "a cord of three strands is not quickly broken" (4:12). #GrowIt #StrengthenIt & #ThriveInIt

How "sweet" are your shortcuts?

In order to be seen, noticed, or get ahead, many step over boundaries, attach themselves to others, and try to be someone other than themselves, instead of maintaining boundaries, showing up to do their own work every day, and standing on their own two feet. For it is when you take a fast and hard way to get ahead, you "[end] up with a mouth full of gravel, for the food [that you] gained by fraud tastes sweet" (Proverbs 20:17). So, if you truly want your work to be satisfying and "sweet", might your actions and words be "pure and upright" (20:11) not unsatisfying and bitter. #DoItTheRightWay

What are you willing to do to get along with everyone?

Wrongs and disputes separate friends and families, just like Esau and his brother, as he "sold his birthright for a single meal" (Hebrews 12:16); and encouraging you and I to "make every effort to live in peace with everyone" is Hebrews (12:14). So, instead of keeping the door closed, might you consider making amends. #ASecondChance

How do you get through your valleys?

Your valleys will try to defeat, break, and discourage you; but they will also help and make you better, maybe even save your life. Helping and saving the Judaean soldiers get out of "the Valley of Berakah" (2 Chronicles 20:26) was the Lord, after King Jehoshaphat collected his people and prayed (see 20:20); and, then, went on to defeat the invading armies, as "they helped to destroy one another" (20:23). So, when you are in a valley, might you, too, consult him and pray. For He will pull you out of every one, just like he did for King Jehoshaphat's army. #Pray & #PraiseHim

Where do you seek love?

If you are seeking love from the world, you will have a hard time finding it; as "the world knows [you] not, because it [knows] him not" (1 John 3:1). Also not knowing Him were the Israelites, as they stepped away from Him during division; and being the Father that he is, he still loved them (see Hosea 11:1) and was there to provide compassion and comfort (see 2 Corinthians 1:3-4), "like one who lifts a little child to the cheek" (Hosea 11:4). So, if you are looking to be loved, might you consider looking in the direction of the Father who has bestowed his great love upon you by calling you his child (see 1 John 3:1). #AFathersLove

How well have your choices served you?

Your choices set the stage, tone, and day to day of your life; and encouraging you to lean on someone who can help you make good ones, instead of what "seems right" (14:12), is found in Proverbs. For when you "come to [him]...[he] will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28), along with whatever else you need to make good ones. So, might you consider conferring with Him to help you make the best possible choice that you can. #MakeGoodOnes

What have you been called to do?

What you do in this life matters, as you are not here by accident, but for good reason, as you have a purpose. Whatever your purpose, you are urged "to live a live worthy of the calling that you have received" (Ephesians 4:1). So, may you take the "grace [that] has been give as Christ apportioned it" (4:7) and do your "part" (4:16). #MakeItMatter #MakeItCount

Where do you call home?

Home is not necessarily an address, but a place of belonging this is filled with love, comfort and protection. Offering such a home, to you and me, now and forevermore, is Jesus, as he offers with reassurance and open arms that his "Father's house has many rooms" (John 14:2); and "if [he goes] and [prepares] a place for you, [He] will come back and take you to be with [him]" (John 14:3). May your home be filled with all of the above, but if not, might you consider one with Him. #HomeIsWhereTheHeartIs
