The Glass Castle
5.0 stars
I really got pulled into reading the book right from the beginning, and then when I saw the movie advertised on Netflix, I had to watch it. The book upset me at first with the way the parents were so neglectful of their children but then I also saw that they really loved them and thought they were doing their best to teach them how to survive in this world. I think it did make them strong and they were definitely survivors, they endured so many things that children should never have to experience. I enjoyed the read, and especially knowing that it was someone's life story made it all the more gripping.

The Harbinger
5.0 stars
Well written like a story although it is way more than just a story. How this relates to what happened in ancient times and then repeated on 9/11 and after is uncanny and scary. We all know that the world today is in terrible shape and needs healing. I felt myself in Ana's position during his story and thinking how she must have been skeptical, but she kept listening and urging him to go on. That's how I felt; it was scary and unbelievable which kept me reading - I wanted there to be a fix at the end of the story. Only we can fix it. Definitely a recommended read.

The Ketogenic Lifestyle: A Complete Guide Into The Keto Diet
Sonia Discher rated it 5.0 stars - it was amazing, So much valuable information. I really enjoyed reading this book, it was easy to read and helped me understand keto a lot more. The recipes were a nice addition and sound delicious so I will be trying them. The comparisons between keto and the other diets such as atkins and paleo was interesting. Wish I had read this a long time ago. Thank you for your information.

Adventures of Noah
5.0 out of 5 stars
Noah and his brothers looking for a forever home.
loved the story of Noah and his brothers. I think all children would love this story, everyone loves a puppy. When the people kept walking away my heart was breaking for Noah but the story moves along so quickly its great to see how it ends up for Noah. Definitely deserves the 5 stars.

Before I Won
5.0 out of 5 stars Don't give up.
Tom’s life journey is an amazing story of a person that went from a victim to a leader. I enjoyed the read, thank you for your story. We can be anything if we keep trying.

Stars Shine Only in the Darkness
5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Time to Reflect
Haris Adiwaid
Stars Shine Only in the Darkness : Inspirational Stories From Everyday Life
I loved this book. Beautiful stories with the "Time to Reflect" section at the end of each chapter. This was a great addition and made me pause and reflect on each question/statement and most often made me smile. I love the chapters that dealt with looking at the world through a child's eyes and favorite teachers. I always remember a few of my teachers and the impact they have had on my life. The chapter that touches on instinct and premonition are very powerful. I try to listen to both and very often am right when I do pay attention. Reminiscing memories really resonated with me. We need to cherish the past and when we lose a loved one, it's these memories and talking about them, that help us through our grief. The chapter on change gave a great analogy of "change is like an onion", "removing dead layers to achieve....". This can be associated with many things in life. Would definitely recommend this book.

Perdition: Book One The Devil Wore a Brown Suit Series
5.0 out of 5 stars Great build up for Book 2 - Can't wait
Amanda ArndtPerdition: #1 The Devil Wore a Brown Suit Series
A completely different book. The author has great imagination and keeps the plot of the story going. Perdition is a lovely, well developed character, and I found myself wondering if she was going to survive. A great build up for Book 2, can't wait.

Lads Reunited: A funny, hilarious laugh out loud page turner
5.0 out of 5 stars Great read for light-hearted chuckles
Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2020Lads Reunited: A funny, hilarious laugh out loud page turnerMax Speed
A group of university pals going out for a good time together years later for a reunion. Their trip started out a bit rocky but this added to the story nicely. I found myself chuckling out loud and having to explain myself to friends sitting near me on why I was laughing. Not a book for me to read in a crowded bus station or I might get a lot of funny looks. The Action Training Station was great and the paint balls had me laughing out loud. Leaving Chinny in the boot of the car had me a bit worried for a while but still chuckling. All the one-liners (even the off colored ones) were funny. I didn't like Sophie all the way through and kept wondering why they were married but I changed my mind in the last few lines of the book. Glad I read it and would recommend to others for a good light hearted chuckle.
