Sonia moved from England to Canada in 1969. After schooling, she spent the majority of her career working as a Project Control Coordinator, scheduling and monitoring the engineering jobs across the site at Chalk River Nuclear Laboratories.

When her husband was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s, Sonia dedicated her time trying to find a way to keep him alive and give him the best quality of life possible. Steve passed away in 2017.

Based on the struggles and challenges they faced during his illness, Sonia decided to write her first book “Dealing with Early Onset Alzheimer’s; Love, Laughter & Tears”.

I wanted to "give back", help others that are going through similar circumstances. I learned a lot while looking after my husband after he was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's at age 50. I initially thought, while writing the book, that if it didn't get published, at least it would serve as therapeutic for me writing it all down. So excited now that it has come to be a reality and hoping that anyone reading it has a take away that helps them in their journey.(less)

Captured by Covid: Deceit, Conspiracy & Death..A True Story

5 stars.
What an ordeal Mike and his family went through. Each step of the way Mike feeling tortured. It must have been terrifying and the book relays the experiences in great detail. So glad Mike was such a fighter and didn’t give up. I have such great respect for the way his wife, Diane advocated for him and showed her unwavering love.
