The Sotul's Disgrace Countdown has begun!

This book was a joy to write, in spite of the fact it was also a little devil!

The Sotul’s Disgrace kicks off the Rulers series and sets the scene for the kind of things I’m going to delve into when you read those books. That's the job of a prequel novella, to set your expectations for the upcoming series. How the story goes, the kind of tropes that will be used, etc. The Problem with The Sotul's Disgrace is that, initially, it didn't do any of that.

I struggled to write this book because ther...

Building Adalth

I’ve been looking forward to building the Hieladan for some time, and when I finally got around to it, it was a job of pure joy.

I love creating, because yeah, of course I do. I also don’t know enough about biology to know exactly how this kind of thing would work. The one thing that made the most sense to me, is that a Naga’s organs wouldn’t be isolated to the humanoid body cavity. Why would they be? The creature’s body is so much larger than that small space and they’re a much larger creature...

Adalth and Sakura are so damn cute!

The Crime Lord’s Fall is out tomorrow! Here is just a little peek at Adalth and Sakura. I love them!

Extract

Sakura disappeared with Sassiya immediately after finishing her meal. She was gone for the rest of the day, leaving Adalth to his own devices.

It was the first time he'd been separated from Sakura since she'd come on board, except for those times he was negotiating with the syndicate leaders. Adalth found himself entirely at a loss for what to do with himself.

Finally, he opted to take...

Writing Sakura - The Diplomat

I can’t believe how far we're into January already!

How is your new year so far? Did you make any resolutions? Did you break them yet? If not, awesome! Keep it up! You can do it.

Last year I spoke about organising my work so that I could actually take some time off. The plan continues.

December was pretty hard. I’d just finished The Crime Lord’s Fall. I had to launch The Runaway’s Escape, plot and write The Soltul’s Disgrace, it’s a novella so easier to do. Still, it was hard and reminded me ...

The Crime Lord

It’s a new year. I know the last two years have been difficult. I’m a big believer that hard times will always come and they’ll always pass. This period is particularly difficult. But each new day brings us closer to the end of it. The pandemic is becoming endemic. That’s good and bad because the cold is endemic, flu is endemic and much less deadly than when it first emerged. Things will be difficult for a while, but they’ll get easier by slow degrees.

I’ve had two shots and a booster now, but...

Happy New Year!

I've spent some of today reflecting on what I've done this year and honestly, I'm exhausted just thinking about it. I had no idea how much I'd accomplished. I live in England. We're not supposed to crow about our accomplishments here. We're supposed to be as stoic in our successes as we are in our failures.

I didn't do an end of year report for last year. But I'm trying to change a few things about myself with the intent of, as William Thatcher put it in A Knight's Tale, changing my stars. So h...

Bonus Epilogue

The Runaway's Escape has been out for a week and a bit now and I just want to thank you all for you all! It is my best selling book to date. Thank you!

It's become a bit of a habit to write a bonus epilogue now. It was never something I intended to do, but I've really loved stretching forward a little in time and seeing how my couples, throuples and more are doing.

For this bonus epilogue, we stretch farther than usual.

Usually, I only go forward 5 years as a maximum. This time, I skipped ahea...

The Runaway's Escape is now live!!!

The Runaway's Escape is now live!

It's always a little nerve wracking when your book baby goes live. For this one, it's a little more so. I know there are people who'll hate that it's mmmf, that there are light BDSM themes and that none of the heroes fill the typical 'Alpha Male' trope. I don't really write those kinds of books, though I do touch on them and I do have plans for a couple. Check out book 4 of the Rulers series when that comes out, and my Klevian Warriors are certainly more Alpha ...

The Final Countdown!

It's just five days until The Runaway's Escape drops into your kindles. So, what better time to send out one last excerpt, this one with all four of our main characters featured.

If you don't already know, in Amaran society, there are three recognised genders. Our quartet is made up of all three. One male, two adalan and one human woman.

Amarans views on sex, love and sexuality could be called liberal. A male is as likely to take another male lover, as an adalan or female. When a triad is form...

Ariana, the Badass!

If you’ve read The Thief’s Dark, you might remember the name Ariana. She was a security guard on Endurance and was sitting in the mess talking to Sakura Watanabe when Sophia, Zoe and Tara were eating and laughing just as the attack happened. Later, we saw her briefly in the cage with Zoe and Danielle from The Officer’s Mess.

Ariana is half-Japanese and half-Somali. She was born on one of the nicer space stations in orbit of Earth. Her Somalian mother was a security guard there when her military...
