Book of the Week: Tales from the Fermi Resolution, Vol 1.

Why Tales from the Fermi Resolution, Vol 1? Because I actually sold out of it today. First time that’s happened with any of my books at a physical vending space. That’s worth a little bit of a brag, methinks.

Having slooooow computer times. [UPDATE: Working fine now.]
Don’t know why. Some stuff will be posted tomorrow. Good day today at Savage Fest.
[UPDATE: working fine, now. Anyway, we had a good day at Savage Fest. The rain did hit, but early morning, and cleared up by the time the festival actually started. Had people interested in the books and the game. It was also pleasant to spend some quality time with my wife outdoors.]
BEHOLD! I am at Savage Fest.
It is raining. This is the environmental thing today. Main Street Laurel was fire (exploding propane tanks), Arbutus was earth (the wounds have healed and faded, without scars), and Savage will be water (we’re not quite out of thunderstorm territory yet). Good thing I don’t have another outside event scheduled this year, or I’d be worrying about tornadoes.

‘Blood Rave.’
Looks like a GO for Savage Fest.
The rain should be manageable. Which is good, because everything felt extra-heavy today. I’d rather take it out of the car again for the actual event.
I don’t know how many people are showing tomorrow, so feel free to buy my books!

Creature Seed: Reckoners.
Patching the canopy for Savage Fest tomorrow…
…There was more fire damage than I thought. Burning pine needles are no joke; I’m going to have to replace the canopy at some point. But the Gorilla Tape should prevent the worst leaks, I think. Yeah, it’s supposed to rain tomorrow. Huzzah!

Keeping an eye on the weather for Savage Fest.
There might be thundershowers. Which suggests to me that I will be grateful for the tree cover, and will likely need to do some serious patching on the fly on Saturday morning. Huzzah.
Still, be sure to stop on by!

They are making a new ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES movie.
The absurd, acidic legacy of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is sprouting a new chapter with Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence, the fifth film in the killer produce saga, this time under the direction of David Ferino (Wardcliffe, Nocturnally Yours).
The killer tomatoes are back. But this time, they’ve evolved into something smart. According to the official description, the movie pits “the eternal power of nature against AI’s best and brightest.”
06/05/2025 Snippet, THE CALL OF THE MOON-BEASTS.
This story will fall. It will.
…
“You still believe in goodness? After all of this?” Grabinski’s laugh was bitter, knowing, and rippled into his speech, somehow. “There is a bargain, yes. You will return, and rule, and have dominion over the planet below. You will have the power to do all of that. Do you wish revenge on those who abandoned you here? You will have that, too. All that you desire can be yours.”
“I think I know the next part,” Tobias told him. “We’d be expected to make sure that all you desire will happen, too.”
“Yes. Nothing is free. But it is wise to reward good service. Do not fear that you would not be given your just due.”
That’s not what I’m afraid of, Tobias thought, and wondered briefly why Asenath wasn’t commenting on any of this. It wasn’t like her.
