My table at RisuCon!
Information is now available. RisuCon is in a few weeks, and after that is Doxacon, and then I’m done for a bit. It’s been a pretty good convention schedule this year, all in all. One dud, and one circumstances-beyond-my-control, but the others did some decent business. Anyway, come by on October 4th!

PS: …Or buy them now. Games, too.

Temptation!
…
Oxman contemplated the pull-axe anyway. Long exposure to First Age magic changed items, often in ways compatible with their original purpose. The prospect of acquiring a magical weapon, even one made with wild magic, could make fighting-men a good deal less sensible. “You feeling any evil coming off that, Nat?” he asked. “Also: that pull-axe looks like it’d fit real nice in my hand. You think that’s greed, or a spell?”
“‘No’ to the first, and probably ‘greed’ to the second,” Nat told him while stepping back further. “I don’t want to go stick my hand in there and grab it. So if it’s a spell, it’s just going after you. You into taking the risk?”
“Yeah, Nat.” Oxman reached for the pull-axe with smooth inevitability. “‘No guts, no glory.’ If I go all black-eyed or something, go for the hamstrings and then get the Hell out of here.”

So, minor milestone: I had to order more FERMI RESOLUTION WORLDBOOK (Please buy it) copies.

I hopefully will have them in time for RisuCon, but will definitely have them by Doxacon. In the meantime… if you have not picked up your copy of THE FERMI RESOLUTION TTRPG, please do so. It’s one of the things that generates the revenue I need to publish more.
Heck, buy six copies and start a campaign. That’d be awesome.
The THE LOST BUS trailer.
THE LOST BUS is a movie starring Matthew McConaughey as a school bus driver who’s being slowly being shoved off the edge of the world. He doesn’t know what the Hell to do, or even what the Hell he can do. Then he finds out that there’s a classroom full of kids directly in the path of one of the worst wildfires ever, who need saving.
And he thinks to himself: well, maybe I can do that.

PS: I know it’s on Apple TV. Still.
Posting called on account of… everything.
Well, mostly it was because of a malfunctioning smoke alarm. We had to take it out into the open air before we could be certain that it was just broke, and not detecting invisible smoke*. Fun! …And very, very distracting. How was your day?

*Of course I obsessively checked the house for any sign of fire. One of the reasons why my schedule is so messed up now. Also, this unit was one of the ones that wasn’t also a carbon monoxide detector, and before you ask about that I’m going to be making sure that all of the replacements are dual-use, yes.

The GOOD BOY trailer.
My eldest is less into GOOD BOY than I thought he would be. Odd, that. Maybe because you can’t have a horror movie about a dog up against supernatural horrors without endangering the dog?
The ‘Why Did They Make This?’ ANACONDA… Thing… trailer.
Wait, there’s nostalgia for the original ANACONDA? I did not know that. Heck, I don’t think I actually saw it. It’s not my kind of monster flick. I’m not so sure this is, either.

AOL to stop dial-up.
Yeah, I know. I was surprised, too. Anyway: the song of my youth.
Anyway…
