09/10/2025 Snippet, BANSHEE BEACH.
Dinner!
…
Banshee behaved herself that way, though, just like somebody who’d memorized a bunch of etiquette books and was now following the recipe. She also had a handle on small talk, as she defined it. That meant asking me about everything about the beach, including the dumb bits. She was really interested in the Lady’s Kiss, too. “That sounds like a potent source of natural magic.” She frowned. “Why isn’t this city exploiting it?”
“Probably because nobody noticed it until after Red Beach really got going,” I told her. “By then the town had gotten divvied up, and Maravilloso was in the poor section of town.”
My dinner companion blinked. “And that would actually stop your ruling class? Lah, from the way you’re blinking; it would, wouldn’t it? Why?”
“They’re already rich,” I shrugged. “Plenty of food, plenty of trade. That means plenty of money. The upper crust figured out a long time ago that nobody cared if they got tenderloin and wine as long as the rest of us had plenty of hamburgers and beers. Especially if they spent plenty of their money, too. ‘Por agua viene, por agua se va’ oughta be on our Great Seal.”
Banshee’s mouth twitched. “Greed is not exactly your country’s besetting sin, then.”
I considered it. “Nah. Not even the top three.”
So, hey, it would be awesome if people bought one hundred of my books.
I’m not in financial trouble, things are not a disaster, nothing bad has happened on my end of things – but if you were wondering if you wanted to pick up all my books after all, well, this would be a GREAT time to do that. There’s my books on Amazon, my audiobook on Audible (another one’s being worked on, even as we speak), and my books on DriveThruRPG. There’s also my Patreon, and my Ko-Fi if you just want to toss in money directly (but you should instead actually buy something, so you get a book out of it).
Again, this isn’t a crisis. Nobody panic.

09/10/2025 Snippet, IRONGHOSTS.
Cave!
…
Both adventurers flowed into a steady watchfulness as they followed the new scent. There was a reason why sensible folk avoided the underground passages of the Old Americans. Water down here meant life, and much of that life would find the sudden presence of men unwelcome. Some could even be effective in making that hostility relevant. There was no need to panic about what lay around every corner, but there was also no need to be damned fools, either.
The tunnel they were following abruptly widened into a rock-strewn cavern, smelling of dampness and lichen. The walls were curiously smooth to the touch, almost slick, but quite dry. A quick look up confirmed no suspicious-looking stalactites or moving shadows; a more careful look around showed no signs of larger creatures.
“This cave feels off,” said Oxman. “No water or lava could have made this. Could this be some sort of Old American nonsense?”

Have people been having trouble accessing the site lately?
Just what it says on the tin, I guess. I’ve been noticing delays, lately. Anybody else?
Adventure Seed: Operation BLUEBERRY OCELOT.
The Larry Correia American Paladin Series Kickstarter.
The Larry Correia American Paladin Series Kickstarter (lone vigilante urban fantasy) ticked over fast, too. I went out to make myself a sandwich, and came back to find it over thirty-five thousand. That’s some good starting numbers.
Check it out.

PS: Went up by three five grand (and over forty thousand) while I wrote this. Nice.

‘The Witch of the Westmorland.’
Homework squared away, but I’m pretty tired.

Stuff’s come up.
Nothing bad, though. It’s mostly involving walking my kid through his homework. Sorry, folks, but this takes precedence.
Critical Drinker: K-POP DEMON HUNTERS.
He liked it, somewhat to his surprise. But I’m not. K-POP DEMON HUNTERS was quite ridiculously good, and the Critical Drinker can recognize good when he sees it. He might be a little hard to please, but that’s his privilege.
