Self-belief.
Life can be challenging. One can experience loneliness, doubt, jealousy, anger, and a myriad of other darkness. This goes with being human, with exploring ourselves in this physical existence we call life. I went through so much after my father’s death several years ago. I’m sure we have all experienced the impotence and anger in these terrible moments. Our minds make our experiences. From a thought to a feeling, and from a feeling to a constant experience in us. The constant experience can be negative or positive, depending on the first thought we had and nourished into a feeling which grew constant and powerful in us.
There is a well of hope and faith in us in spite of all negativity and struggle. This well is deep inside us, but it cannot be fed by the outside. Sure, you can have people supporting you. Sure, you can also have great self-help books remind you, and religious scriptures too. Sure, you can even have the opportunity to travel and introduce yourself to more inspiring cultures and people. All this may help, but it won’t last. Not unless you find the strength, faith, hope in you in the form of self-belief. Because even if you lose something important to you, or fail at something, or encounter tragedy in any aspect, inner belief will get you out.
Inner belief says “I don’t care what happens in life, I will keep going filled with patience and passion.” Inner belief says “Nothing will stop me, nothing will bring me down; because my focus is on moving on and progressing.” And so, how do you get that strong self-belief…?? By developing yourself, by seeking your passion, by immersing yourself in habits which keep you feeling great about yourself. Great habits are the key in life. Sitting around watching TV and drinking beer with friends, or even by yourself?? Not a great habit. No, I am talking about habits which push you outside of your comfort zone. Habits which add value to your character.
Habits which help you understand yourself and your strengths, like writing, like painting, like sports of strategy, like exercise, like cooking healthily, like educating yourself on science or on any other passion you have. The secret or aim here is to grow as an individual, patiently, step by step, daily; however, it is also about doing something fun, something which ignites your passion and sense of wonder in life. I am personally a big advocate for better habits. I write about self-development, through non-fiction works and now through fantasy works which bring magic, adventure, and also insights into what it is to be alive. I hope you can see the truth in this, and so begin to nourish that belief in you, making yourself unstoppable.

Progress.
I encountered a man once who always talked about politics, blaming politicians and the government. This is all he did. He lived his life blaming others. And when things were wrong in his life, he would always say, “Well, God wants this,” and “Why is God doing this??” It was never his fault, but always another person’s fault. Either a real person in politics or an imaginary belief in the skies. And on top of that, he would look around him daily. If he felt wrong or somehow upset, frustrated or angry, he would blame his boss, or his neighbors, or his own wife. He was totally arrogant and wouldn’t see his own weakness in the pitiful blaming game he was constantly playing.
Life is a string of moments. These moments, each one of them, are originated by choices. Intimate or very personal choices. We are always choosing, even if we are not aware of it. We have a conscious and subconscious. When the conscious does not choose, the subconscious does; and it is automatic. The subconscious is reflected in our habits and behaviors, the ones we are not fully aware of taking. The issue is that if the economy is bad, then you will blame your life on this in order to feel better about your bad conscious and subconscious choices. The same happens with everything in your life. And this is running away from your personal responsibilities.
If you divorce or break up, then you will blame the other person. At least most people do this. In your anxious mind, this excuses you from your own misguided behavior during the relationship. So, what you are doing is denying your own faults; and by this denial you are programming your subconscious to keep making wrong choices in the future. This is not working on yourself, and it is keeping you down in terms of love, happiness, and that great feeling of success we all want. Focusing on yourself, in the other hand, helps you see your own faults; thus you can better understand your own subconscious programming, fix it, and through some soul-searching better yourself.

Just love her.
TO MEN. JUST LOVE HER:
If she wants you, don’t worry about the rest. Love her entirely, with passion and honesty; and she will be yours, as long as you do this. The feminine just wants to feel loved, feel her own beauty blooming. This is her sole purpose for existence. This is her nature.
She has been born in a physical body to learn about her own beauty, and to feel the emotional and physical affection her soul’s nature craves. As you love her, she will find safety and comfort, freedom and sweetness in herself and with you. This will inspire her to better herself, to love herself, to keep herself beautiful and passionate.
She will mold to the masculine if she feels truly loved, free to be herself, and without judgment from him. If man can stop trying so hard. If man can stop overthinking. If man can stop trying to control and fix everything, then she becomes his in mind, heart and body.

The Call of The Shaman. Preorder special.
Today feels like any other day, except they reminded me is October 31st, my 40th birthday. I truly never celebrate my birthday as something special. Maybe a nice meal with family. Always receive a call or two from loved ones. And then there’s the pouring of ‘Happy Birthdays’ from Facebook friends and followers to my notifications and to my private inbox. Really feel the love, but for me it is just another day. I am not into all these, except holidays like Christmas, Easter, and maybe Thanksgiving with family. When you are content and grateful every day like me, you don’t really feel a necessity to celebrate society’s inventions. I only love the ones I get to enjoy having a nice moment with family.
I am not into parties or celebrating with a bunch of people, as I mentioned. I don’t drink alcohol. I really watch what I eat, which means I wouldn’t treat my body like most do in a celebration. But one thing is special about this day. Definitely! Today I’ve launched my preorder special. Preorder on my young adult novel titled “BENJAMIN JONES. The Call of The Shaman.” Now, you have to understand that this is not considered just a job, or something I do. Writing is my passion! Creating is what I am all about! I have practiced, literally, every day in front of a computer for 20 years. I have given up many things to sit down and perfect my craft daily without excuse.
Einstein has said that to reach the genius level in any craft or art, you must at least practice every day for 10 years. Well, I have 20 years working on my writing. I am proud of it, and I am not shy about it. So, please click below, and go find out what it is all about. This story fuses ancient aliens, ancient wisdom, and lots of action and adventure taking place somewhere in U.S in the 1890s.

Reconnecting.
Nothing is more hurtful and it brings more anxiety to your mind than to hold on to the past, to the loss, to the tragedy, to the injustice, to what did or did not happen. How can someone possibly be happy like this…?? No, you can pretend; but you can never truly be happy attached to your past. This is very personal, but at some point in your life journey you must stop your stressed, anxious and stubborn mind to see this, to acknowledge that you cannot heal if you feed your addiction to what happened.
Your path to healing is one of love, but you cannot fight yourself and struggle in the process; because if you do, you are just widening the gap between unhealthy and healthy. Widening the gap is to resist to healing, because you are attached to whatever hurt you, or to whatever you allowed to hurt you. This is what intensifies the hurt or the chaos in you. Can’t you see this…??
So, it is about reconnecting with yourself, with your happier self and the one part in you which is not attached to the past. You are responsible for this reconnecting. You can feel you need it. And in order to achieve it, you must detach from the old to build the new. We always talk about love, but love cannot truly exist in your mind if you remain attached to the hurt, to the loss, to the struggle.

BENJAMIN JONES. More fiction characters.
So, in a past post or blog I shared a chapter called “ Chat with a Necromancer ,” which is a crucial one in my upcoming young adult, fantasy and mystery novel “BENJAMIN JONES – The Call of The Shaman.” And I also wrote a blog about the three main characters in the same series, titled “ BENJAMIN JONES. Fiction characters. “
Well, this blog post is about the rest of the characters of this magical story. Three more characters which are also very important and bring a touch of laughter, innocence, magic, cruelty, craziness and mystery to the story. This is a story which is emotional as it is mystical, because the aim here is not just to entertain but to expand the mind and learn about life and the journey we all have to take. This story is unique, but if I have to name the novels which inspired me to write it I would say: 1- Harry Potter. 2- The Alchemist. 3- The Chronicles of Narnia.

Shadow: Ben enters a magic swamp, and his own shadow comes to life because of it. Shadow has been trapped as an immobile and dull shadow for too long (12 years), so now he has become animate. He talks fast, manic, and he is very loyal to Ben. Also he can be a little irritating. But he brings a little magic and laughter wherever he goes. He will be a great ally and companion, full of secrets and magic, in Ben’s quest.
Gemlik: Ben meets Gemlik as he begins to discover his own magic and his curse. Gemlik is a ghoul, but he is different than the other ghouls. That is because Gemlik is a cursed god. He was one of the gods who came down from the heavens in mankind’s beginnings. And so, Gemlik has many powers and contacts in the necro world. He also desires to communicate with his family, who have gone to Heaven. Gemlik joins Ben’s quest as his friend. He is a naughty, yet loyal and comical ghoul.
Lord Furvusmortem: This is Ben’s nemesis. The Voldemort to Harry Potter. Lord Furvusmortem is ‘The Necromancer of The Four Winds.’ He was also there at the beginning of humanity. He was a learned of The Dark Magic Arts. He was cursed by his own hand. And now he has become a powerful necromancer who seeks to destroy Ben (Wolf boy). Why does he want to destroy him..?? You will have to find out for yourself when the novel comes out (very, very soon!). Just know that Lord Furvusmortem is an enigma, shrouded in mystery, and that he has unimaginable powers since he is The Lord of The Necro Dimension.

To conclude, this young adult, fantasy, mystery novel is full of adventure and profound questions. It will keep you wondering and following the action of the same. But, since I am also a nonfiction, spiritual, self-help author I have also written this story to inspire and bring some real insight in your own life; because my goal is to bring some light into your own struggle. I think all literature must leave a great message and guide you into some self-discovery of your own.

Habits of excellence.
Life is no more than a reflection of our daily habits. For example, if you eat unhealthy foods, you will at some point struggle with illnesses, suffer physical pains, and consequently lose positivity and energy in life in all aspect. Or if you choose to let people treat you the way they please, this habit will bring you self-doubt and it will keep your mind anxious and chained to the opinions of others. And how about always letting politics frustrate you and occupy a big chunk of your thoughts??
As human beings, we are biological machines. We are ruled and made by our habits, not a single choice in the moment; but we are what we do every day. For example, I like to exercise, meditate, be ordered and clean in my daily activities, even in the most little things like cleaning the apartment and editing my upcoming young adult fantasy novel daily, BENJAMIN JONES. Fiction characters. . Step by step, the small habits like washing my dishes as soon as I finish eating. These small habits make my character and guide me into making bigger habits stick.
To adopt better habits, these are some of my suggestions. If they work for me, they might as well work for you:
1- Whenever you feel low in energy, depressed, down for some reason, is the best and most critical time for you to push yourself into better habits. Procrastination becomes a habit of self-destruction if you let it poison you.
2- Stop watching TV, reading about politics, and spending your time doing things which won’t help towards your self-development. Instead, put your mind and heart into things which help you gain self-esteem, self-worth, knowledge to actually better your life. For example, strengthen your mind with scientific facts about nutrition and about the way to expand your knowledge into certain fields.
3- Start writing, whether a journal or whatever it is. Writing daily, pondering words to express something clearly on paper. This expands your mind and gives you liberation, because doing this daily serves the purpose of letting out your emotions. One of the greatest burdens of people is not to know how to express themselves with clarity, keeping things inside, frustrating themselves because they cannot truly make themselves be heard by others. The habit of writing, whatever it is, powers your mind so it can study your own emotions and make you feel more confident about yourself.
And please check out my following article and see if it resonates with you: Steering our lives.
To conclude, excellent habits are not born out of excellence. We all start from mediocrity or from messiness. Excellent habits are born step by step. First, with a mentality of seeking true success and self-improvement. Second, the courage to make your ego uncomfortable and step out of your comfort zone. Third, you improve your daily habits slowly but steadily; and you do it with a mind which envisions health and great success.

Better brain. Better life.
The brain is your doorway or bridge to physical life. And this doorway or bridge must be kept strong and healthy. If your brain is allowed to age and become weak, then all sorts of illnesses and immoralities will possess your body while your very life becomes meaningless. One can keep feeling young and strong until the last breath; but most people allow their brains to age, so they cannot understand these words.
In order to keep your brain young and strong, obviously, one must adopt excellent habits.
1- No alcohol. No excess fats. Food must be well watched over. You must put in you all the different nutrients, vitamins, proteins, and all that which your body needs to develop with excellence. Scientific knowledge is what will lead you to health.
2- Now, also have in mind the situations in your life, more specifically the way you react to them. Always try to avoid stress and unnecessary frustration. Train yourself to seek inspiration away from dilemmas or worries. When the mind is filled by anxiety, your brain cells in time start dying. This brain cell death affects your entire nervous system and the immune system.
3- As mentioned, anxiety is terrible for the healthy development of the brain. So, you must seek the opposite of anxiety, which is silence, harmony, peace. I am talking about being with yourself, not always hanging out with others. When your brain frequencies are calm, then your brain begins creating new pathways or nervous tissue. This brings more insight, creativity, intelligence. And it also brings youth, beauty, positivity into you, reflected in your physical body, and seen in the way you respond to life itself.
4- Your brain requires nurture, care, attention, just like a relationship with another requires the same. This means to keep it always fresh and clean of toxins. Exercise does this magic. It doesn’t mean that you should spend hours exercising. If you also take care of the food you eat (#1), then just 10 minutes of exercise a day might be just what is needed. Exercise is like oiling your car, adding all the liquids, rotating the tires, doing the usual maintenance. Your body, as your brain, is your car; and exercise is like all the maintenance which keeps your car running smoothly.
To conclude, you can have all the ambitions, desires, pursuits you want; however, true success is not out there but inside you. How you feel, the quality of your life. This is true success, love, happiness. The quality of your life is the quality of your brain.

Need of a change
In need of a wake up call…?? In need of some inspiration and understanding??
This is a poetry review for “Need of a change,” a book by Rita Rana.
We all seek inspiration, maybe something which can guide us or wake up our inner moral compass. I know I do. This life can be deceitful, or, better put, our minds can lead us into something negative, depression, worthlessness, wrong choices, etc. By our minds I mean our egos. This poetry book is just about this. It is simple, yet very deep. I would say it is very honest about what sometimes people seem to forget. It reminds us of the right path to follow, and I think the author means to share her own life with us by connecting through her poetry.
It is not about her life per se, but the author uses an emotional tone we can all find relevant. Each poem is designed to paint a mental picture and help you think about your own life and where this one is going, in order for you to wake up and see what you must do to change for the better. All love and happiness is an inner work, and an inner success. Personally, I find this the message. It reminded me of the important things that must come first in my life. I could even add that it took me on a journey of self-discovery, because self-discovery never ends as long as you are alive; and so, books like this one can help you enormously in your journey.
So, to finalize, I really recommend this book. If you are like me, into self-development and inspiration to become a better human being, then this is definitely a poetry book worth both your time and money.
I GIVE THIS ONE 4 STARS OUT OF 5.

BENJAMIN JONES. Fiction characters.
So, in a past post or blog I shared a chapter called “Chat with a Necromancer,” which is a crucial one in my upcoming young adult, fantasy and mystery novel “BENJAMIN JONES – The Call of The Shaman.” And I thought that I would write a little bit about the main characters now, because this story is deep and it starts with the beginning of humanity, and also because I will be making this a series. This story has much to tell.
In my story, we start with 4 main characters. ‘Benjamin Jones’ (a 12-year-old orphan), ‘Jake Sullivan’ (an 11-year-old orphan), ‘Adit Acharya’ (spiritual guide and friend), and ‘Lord Furvusmortem’ (necromancer and main villain shrouded in mystery). These characters add background, action, laughter, emotional touch, adventure, cruelty and mystery to the story. But as the story develops, we also come across very important, new characters. Purely magical characters. We have now ‘Gemlik The ghoul’ (ancient god cursed to be a ghoul for eternity) and ‘Shadow’ (this is Ben’s shadow now alive due to magic).
I will write about the first three main characters in this posting. On a later posting, I will write about the last three.
Benjamin Jones: Ben is the most important character, and he is a Pawnee (native). He is the son of a powerful shaman. His mother died of a terrible illness. His father was taken by the Sioux (native enemies). Ben has been shunned by his people, because they believe he is cursed. So, now Ben lives in an orphanage. But he is also very special, but does not know it. He sees visions of his father. He is trying to discover his magic and his shamanic roots, and for this he will have to return ‘The Sphere of Truth and Wisdom’ taken by ‘The Necromancer of The Four Winds.’ But Ben might also be the reincarnation of a demigod who lived in the beginnings of humanity as we know it, at a time when the gods came from the skies. This demi-god was known as ‘Wolf boy’ or ‘Burned Belly.’
Jake Sullivan: Jake is Ben’s best friend in the orphanage. Also he is very intelligent and positive, and so he brings laughter to the story. His father died of cholera, and Jake had suffered much because of it. His depressed mother had fallen into serious drinking, and that is why Jake has been placed in an orphanage until she can get better. Jake and Ben share a profound bond and their friendship only grows and gets stronger as the story unfolds. Ben also might be destined to become a great magician beside his good friend.
Adit Acharya: Adit is Ben’s spiritual guru or guide, and he is also a good friend and an author of spiritual books. Adit knew Ben’s father, they were good friends. Adit lost his mother to a terrible illness, and his father left him as a baby on the doorsteps of a wealthy family. He grew up seeking himself, and he thus became a great healer and more. He will be a great character, crucial in the story due to his wisdom, spiritual guidance, and also healing and magical abilities.
This fiction story is not just about fantasy and entertainment, but it is also about finding yourself and learning about yourself. Throughout it, you can appreciate the wisdom and deep insights shared. With this work, I aim to entertain but also help the reader become aware of his own situation in life. I seek to bring some inspiration and guidance. I have 20 years experience in professional writing and pride myself on my talents for delivering my messages through the printed word. This is a story sure to get your full attention and make you think, as well as become immersed in the magic world of BENJAMIN JONES.
