The End of a Busy-busy Week
Man, the first week of my daughter's school holidays is almost over. And it's been a super busy one. Phew! This morning, I managed to get to the end of the first round of edits for Alex Wales: PROMISE. It's now done and emailed to my editor. Two more rounds to go. ;)
The very cool and exciting thing I found during this edit was getting caught up in Alex and Damon's story. Theirs is a very unconventional romance story that'll be filled with quite a few obstacles before they can find any real...

OMGosh!

Things are totally insane around here at the moment! Between the new Blogger setup I've been working on, having my daughter at home because it's school holidays, and now edits... I haven't had a spare minute all week!
Yikes.
Still, I'm not really complaining. I'm having a great time with this edit. It's the first round of edits for Alex Wales: PROMISE, which will be released from Eternal Press in June. I got started early this morning and reached page 97/241. Think I'll stop there today. Phew. ...

I have another new cover!
That's right. To celebrate my new website-slash-blog design, I've decided to share another beautiful cover I received recently:
Isn't it gorgeous? Dawné Dominique made it for me, and I absolutely love it! Not only is the cover model pic exactly how I pictured Iris, but I love how she's blended the city buildings with all that green. It's (very) relevant to the story. :)
Here's the unedited blurb:
In Nexus City, the rain is deadly…
When Iris wakes up naked, alone and surrounded by dead bodies...

UNGRATEFUL DEAD by Naomi Clark
PI Ethan Banning wouldn't normally touch a haunting case. Mostly because he doesn't believe in ghosts. But when Charlie Mullen asks him to spend the night at a supposedly haunted morgue, Ethan figures, why not? He's broke and Charlie's offering double his normal rate, and that's good enough for Ethan. But when a troublesome ghost really does show up, Ethan realises he's going to need more than a good supply of alcohol to get through the night.
I have AFTERLIFE and DEMONIZED--which are both...

Hectic!
Yeah. That's exactly what this week's been like.
Well, remember the not-so-great incident from last week? My domain transfer was completed last night--on both ends. Now, that was great news because I no longer want to have anything to do with GoDaddy, but now comes setting up my website again. Except, I have no idea where to start because everything's different with my new provider.
In the end, for the moment, I've decided to re-direct my domain name here to this blog.
I'd rather if someone...

Starting the week with a plan...
That's right! This is the last week of school before my daughter goes on two weeks holidays. Okay, I think that with all the Easter/Anzac Day public holidays, it actually ends up being more like two-and-a-half weeks. :/ So, I've decided to give myself the insane goal of getting the third/final draft of Sunny & Silver's story revised. I got started early this morning and actually revised the prologue. That takes me to page 8/209. Not a bad start, I think.
Unless I receive some edits, this is...

I DON'T WANT TO KILL YOU by Dan Wells
Sixteen-year-old John Wayne Cleaver has always known he's different, but not because he only has one friend (and doesn't much like him) and not because he regularly helps out in his mother's mortuary. He's different because he recognizes the classic signs of an incipient serial killer in his own personality, and he's created a rigid set of rules to follow to keep his darker nature, the one he calls Mr Monster in check.
But John discovers it's the personality traits he so fears that put him in...

Today should've been a happy day.
Not just because I managed to get the second draft of the novella that helped me get out of my writing slump at the beginning of March done--yay, it ended up being 33,936 words. Not just because after all that self-doubt, I managed to get the first and second draft of this novella done--as well as the second draft of my NaNoWriMo novel--during March. And between all of that I read a lot, as well as kept a lot of real life appointments.
