RED-HEADED STEPCHILD by Jaye Wells

In a world where being of mixed-blood is a major liability, Sabina Kane has the only profession fit for an outcast: assassin. But, her latest mission threatens the fragile peace between the vampire and mage races and Sabina must scramble to figure out which side she's on. She's never brought her work home with her---until now.
This time, it's personal.
Wow, this book is amazing! From the moment I picked it up, I knew I was going to love it. Sabina got straight into the story by having to do...

HOWL'S MOVING CASTLE by Diana Wynne Jones

In the land of Ingary, where seven league boots and cloaks of invisibility do exist, Sophie Hatter catches the unwelcome attention of the Witch of the Waste and is put under a spell.
For once, I'm actually reading a book after watching the movie. Of course, the first time I watched this movie was a while ago, but still. I loved it so much that every now and then I think about it. Besides, Hayao Miyazaki rocks, and we've pretty much seen every movie he's ever made. He has an awesome...

March = not so happy

Y'know how I've been feeling a little strange this week? Well, out of curiosity, I had a quick look at the past few years--here on my blog--and discovered that around this time of the year, I always seem to get gloomy for no real reason. Looks to me like it's a seasonal thing or something. As in: I'm not ready to let go of summer yet. Man, I could really live in a place where it's forever summer. Seriously.
I'm also not looking forward to the time change later this month. I love the fact that ...

MOCKINGJAY by Suzanne Collins

Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has survived the Hunger Games twice. But now that she's made it out of the bloody arena alive, she's still not safe. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge. Who do they think should pay for the unrest? Katniss. And what's worse, President Snow has made it clear that no one else is safe either. Not Katniss's family, not her friends, not the people of District 12.
Well, here I am. At the end of The Hunger Games Trilogy. I'm both excited to have read i...

Sigh

Yesterday turned out to be an odd and kinda confusing day.
Y'know how I've been talking about that YA/UF novel I've been itching to write and even got started on? Well, it turns out that it's not as ready to be told as I thought it was. I sat down to write and nothing came. Well, only one page. It really put me off, and kinda upset me too. This kind of thing doesn't happen much to me. When I get stuck into a story I go with it until the end. This time... not so much.
I don't know. Maybe I...

Good morning!

Are we all ready for a new week? :)
Personally, I've had a little more trouble than usual getting to sleep. Not sure what it is, but I did manage to sleep in longer than usual during the weekend. Not a bad thing, I suppose. Especially since I've been feeling exhausted lately.

Between getting on with the day, working out, yoga, walking, and everything else in between, I'm not sure how I manage to fit everything in. lol.
Anyway. It's Monday and I'm ready to get started on a new project. That's...

PARANORMALCY by Kiersten White

Evie's always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she's falling for a shape-shifter, and she's the only person who can see through paranormals' glamours.
But Evie's about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.
So much for normal.
Firstly, this is such a pretty cover. I also think it captures the m...

Wow. Friday. I really wasn't ready for you. But hey, it means the weekend's around the corner, so I'm fine with it. :)
Yesterday actually turned out to be quite productive. I managed to get an interview finished, as well as an upcoming guest blog post written. I even emailed both of them in, and updated several things that I'd been ignoring (I mean, ran out of time to do) most of the week. So, for the first time in a week or so, I actually felt productive, lol.
I can't believe how much the...
