THE HUNGER GAMES by Suzanne Collins

WINNING WILL MAKE YOU FAMOUS. LOSING MEANS CERTAIN DEATH.
In a dark vision of the near future, a terrifying reality TV show is taking place. Twelve boys and twelve girls are forced to appear in a live event called the Hunger Games. There is only one rule: KILL OR BE KILLED. When sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen steps forward to take her sister's place in the games, she sees it as a death sentence. But Katniss has been close to death before. For her, survival is second nature.
There's really n...

Wednesday already... really?

So, I've been doing pretty much nothing but reading. Oh, okay, I have been clearing up some clutter that I've had around the place. Things I put aside after cleaning/re-arranging my bookshelves in January. O_o I know, about time, right?
Now that I've got most of that done, I think it's time to de-clutter my brain. I've got a whole bunch of stuff in there. Things that need to get out, so I can clear my head. There's a new YA idea that keeps popping up, too. So far, it's just fragments. More...

The war between humanity and Faerie devastated both sides. Or so 15-year-old Liza has been told. Nothing has been seen or heard from Faerie since, and Liza's world bears the scars of its encounter with magic. Trees move with sinister intention, and the town Liza calls home is surrounded by a forest that threatens to harm all those who wander into it. PAST MIDNIGHT by Mara Purnhagen

Let me set the record straight. My name is Charlotte Silver and I'm not one of those paranormal-obsessed freaks you see on TV.no, those would be my parents, who have their own ghost-hunting reality show. And while I'm usually roped into the behind-the-scenes work, it turns out that I haven't gone unnoticed. Something happened on my parents' research trip in Charleston - and now I'm being stalked by some truly frightening other beings. Trying to fit into a new school and keeping my parents...

Good morning!

So, how was everyone's weekend? We had a good (and relaxing) one.
Since I met my personal goals for last week--which included my first writing goal for 2011--I was able to totally lose myself in some reading.

Reading a great book is always a fantastic reward... and I read a wonderful, action-packed UF novella, as well as a beautiful YA novel. I even started another YA book last night.
Good times!
What did I accomplish by the end of last week? Well, I finalised the third draft of The Hidden

IF I STAY by Gayle Forman

In the blink of an eye everything changes. Seventeen year-old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall what happened afterwards, watching her own damaged body being taken from the wreck. Little by little she struggles to put together the pieces- to figure out what she has lost, what she has left, and the very difficult choice she must make. Heartwrenchingly beautiful, Mia's story will stay with you for a long, long time.
I've been wanting to read this book for a long time, and ...

Today, I have some great news...

That's right! Not only did my latest Eternal Press eBook come out earlier this week, but I just signed another contract with EP! This is contract #5, and I'm very excited.
This book is called IRIS, and happens to be a dark, futuristic (with cyberpunkish elements) and is over 86k-words long. So this is my longest contracted work with them so far. Like I said above, very excited!
I can't wait to share more info with you, and look forward to getting a cover for this one. But first, I need to get a...

THE IRON WITCH by Karen Mahoney

FREAK. That's what her classmates call seventeen-year-old Donna Underwood. When she was seven, a horrific fey attack killed her father and drove her mother mad. Donna's own nearly fatal injuries from the assault were fixed by magic—the iron tattoos branding her hands and arms. The child of alchemists, Donna feels cursed by the magical heritage that destroyed her parents and any chance she had for a normal life. The only thing that keeps her sane and grounded is her relationship with her best...
