Where's the week gone?

I mentioned earlier in the week that I was working on finishing up a 35k-novella, right? Well, as soon as I got it done and submitted, I received the second round edits for PROMISE. So I got stuck into it, and got it done yesterday afternoon. I spent every available moment I had on my own working through them.
It's amazing how much fun I have every time I go back to working on this book. Plus, while I've been editing, the...

CLAN RATHSKELLER by Kevin Hearne

This short story is a prequel to HOUNDED, so I was very interested in checking it out. And it didn't disappoint, because for being such a short story it packs quite a powerful punch.
Atticus and Oberon are wandering around Tempe Marketplace when they both notice something is wrong. And what first appears to be an odd situation with a...

Happy New Week!

So. Y'know how I was complaining about the shitty weather last week? On Sunday, the sun finally returned and the temperature was actually quite warm. It was lovely, and we decided to go for a really nice, long walk before the weather decided to change again. Luckily, it stayed all day...
Yet, I can't bring myself to fully trust the weather. I keep waiting for the clouds to close in again and the rain to return. I had good reason t...

DIE FOR ME by Amy Plum

Suddenly, my sister, Georgia and I were orphans. We put our lives into storage and moved to Paris to live with my grandparents. And I knew my shattered heart, my shattered life, would never feel normal again. Then I met Vincent.
Mysterious, sexy and unnervingly charming, Vincent Delacroix appeared out of nowhere and swept me off my feet. Just like that, I was in danger of losing my heart...

Rain, rain, go away!

Seriously, every time I think it's going to stop because the sun makes an appearance, the next time I look out the window it's dark again. And it's not just a little drizzle either, it was pouring down this morning.
I think I ruined my sneaker/boots the other day because I stepped into so many puddles. Boo! I've had enough of it. I just wish it would go away. I miss the sun so much.
Anyway, enough crying about the weather.
This...

I'm so sick of the rain...

Seriously, it's been raining on-and-off for the last four days and I'm so over it. I want the clouds to clear. I want to see a blue sky. Hell, I want to see the sun. It feels like I haven't seen it for so long.
So much rain makes the days feel lazy and drowsy. Actually, I spent much of the long weekend reading and napping, lol. We missed out on several walks because the rain didn't let up, and were lucky to find a few openings to go out. It sucks when it's like this. And it's...

THE AURORA TEAGARDEN MYSTERIES #5: Dead Over Heels by Charlaine Harris

Lawrenceton, Georgia, was once a small town; now many people see it only as a growing suburb of Atlanta - but it's still a small town at heart, where people wander in and out of each other's homes, and everybody knows everybody's business. Librarian Aurora Teagarden - Roe to her friends - grew up there, and she should know. She's always been interested in the darker side of human nature, ever since her True...
