Peter Pan retelling with spice and mystery vibes. This is the first *actual* retelling I’ve read and I loved it!!! Made me want to go back and watch all the movies and find all the retellings I love the way this book is written, it’s witty and catchy. I adore the references to the 90s that us millennials can appreciate. I also love that the FMC is a reader and references it throughout. I love the banter, the characters, the story. Amazing for an in between series filler or a slump!

I really enjoyed this story. A bit of angst and a touch of drama made for a good read. This even had a touch of steam. I did feel the characters came across a touch younger than they were meant to be, but this contributed to their story.

As always I enjoyed Bailey’s writing and I’m looking forward to whatever she brings out next. Pick this one up if you want a good quick heartwarming read.

Question of the Day

So incase you are wondering and don't want to Google, the protagonist is the main character. I feel like there are PLENTY of books I have DNF because I couldn't get behind the main B. But of course I can't remember so I'll talk about a book to movie adaptation. Last night we watched The School for GOod and Evil and let me say I LOVE that movie, but I can not stand Sophie. SHe's selfish and whiney and I understand why she was written that way but ugggh. Now I have not read the book. It's Middle Grade and YA is the lowest I'll go so I am curious to if she is just as insufferable on paper as she was on screen.

Has anyone read it?

✨The Lost Darling✨

This little novella crammed a lot into its pages. This went beyond a steamy Peter Pan retelling and placed a heavy focus on the FMC Wednesday’s journey to self-worth.

While this had a lot of similarities to other Peter Pan retellings that we loved one very big difference was the author’s choice in giving us a female lead that by no means started off strong.

When we meet Wednesday she is broken-hearted and not at all loving or respecting herself all to please those around her. We get to watch her grow ( very slowly so be patient with her) throughout this little novella.

Our MMCs are hot, and steamy and there is more to them than meets the eye. I want to know more about them and their stories!

Question of the Day

I had to really think about this one because I wanted a strong girl group but realized I don't know if I've read any books with a strong girl group. Maybe that's a reflection on me as I am an introvert with a handful of people I call friends. So this was a hard question to answer until I finally found it. Flock by Kate Stewart. The bond those boys have is more than friendship. Its brotherhood. This book is kind of like Fight Club, if you've read it you get it but you can't tell people what it's about without ruining everything. So you just say read it.

Anyone agree with that?

Does Anyone have a great friendship book they can recommend? Clearly I need one so it can become my new personality and I can be social again lol
