It's Official I'm Insane!

Hey Talveons,

Apparently just being a mum, wife, pet owner, homeowner and a self-published author are not enough for me. In all honesty, I am terrible at taking care of myself.

That ends NOW!

But in all honesty, I am not a new coach to make money, at least at first. I know very little about health and fitness, except it should be a bigger part of my life than it has been.

Let me go back. It happened around my birthday and I realized that I say in every YouTube video, You are enough and Always keep fighting. I use these as a means to reach out to people and let them know they are not alone because I have been in a place where I have thought that I was. It is no secret that I do not take great care of my health the way I should and when recording around my birthday and saying those words it hit home.

I don't take my own words the way they are supposed to be taken. So I reached out to my friend Ashley and I told her I'm ready to do this. And I truly felt it. I meant it.

And here we are now. I am starting this crazy journey to become a better, healthier, and fit conscious self. I need to take better care of myself and I am ready to do so.

Don't worry I didn't forget about the next book and I am still working on edits among all the other things I have going on. I know this will be a step in the right direction and give me more focus.

Always Keep Fighting

You Are Enough

Wisdom Wednesdays - Asking For Help!

This week on Wisdom Wednesdays I want to talk about something I find most people struggle with.

Asking for help.

With information at our fingertips it should be easy to find answers to pretty much any question you have about the entire universe, and yet there are still situations that we need help with.

I always loved English class, honestly as far as I was concerned it was one of the only reasons to go to school, along with Drama class. I loved hearing about Shakespeare and Charles Dickins and Jane Austen, to name a few. Their worlds were mesmerizing and I could not wait to find out more about each one. I embraced reading from a young age and honestly, I don't remember exactly when I wanted to make the change to a writer.

I quickly discovered however that reading a book and writing a book was very different. Spelling was an issue at first but then something heavenly called spell check was invented. (Yes, I am old) I was getting used to writing but then I realized grammar was a thing.

Oh, grammar my arch-nemesis.

Grammar and I have never been a good match and unfortunately, I knew that if I ever wanted to publish any of my books that I would need to confront it. Of course, I did not realize that I would be in a completely different country with a completely different way of doing grammar to make it more of an issue.

Luckily, I knew I could not tackle this alone and so I...Come on say it with me?

Asked For Help!

Sometimes our limits are not easy to see or even know we have, but I highly recommend to learn your limits and ask for help when you need it. I knew that I would need an editor, even before I really knew if I would publish or not. Life is already hard enough so why not get help when you need it. And if you don't ask no one will know you need help.

There is a common misconception that says needing help makes you look weak. I can honestly tell you that it does not make you weak. It makes you stronger. You know your limits and you are able to overcome them. Yes, you need help but knowing that and reaching out for help is a big deal.

Overcome those limitations and ask for the help you need.

Together we are stronger.

Always Keep Fighting.

You Are Enough.

How Time Flies!

Talveons,

Time really does fly, whether you're having fun or not. In some ways, this year has gone in a flash, and in others, it has felt like the entire year in a single month.

Being a writer it seems as if there are periods where nothing exciting happens and it is just the computer screen and I arguing about what works in a scene and what doesn't. Honestly, that is a writers main focus most of the time.

Then there are the self-publishing/published Authors.

Sadly, once you make the decision to self publish your book it does divide your time between the publishing and writing side of things.

The main thing I have discovered since going along this crazy journey is balance. Balance is the key to everything and for someone, like me who relates to the dog Doug from the movie Up, you can see how it could be a problem.

The best ally in my fight to balance everything is quite simple. A list.

I have mentioned on Facebook a few times about making lists to help achieve your goals.
It is the best way for me to keep track of everything and make sure I am on target.

Make a list and be specific. A good example of this would be:

1) Make a list - Post on social media

2) Be specific - list which days of the week, days you are not planning to post & make a list of potential topics you could post about. (Again be specific in your topics, not just publish a book but the steps to do so, etc)

You are enough.

Always keep fighting.

Motivation Monday!

,This week make goals for things you want to accomplish and then make a plan to finish each thing. Making the list is only the tip of the iceberg.

,Making a plan is great like, I will edit 15 pages this week. However, if you are missing the steps to complete the goal you are less likely to achieve it.

,If you want to make steps you can break the goal into smaller items if you need too. For example, I will edit 15 pages this week. To do that I will plan to edit at least 3 pages each day during the week. This will give me a smaller goal each day but yet it helps me achieve my main goal.

,You Can Do It!! I believe in you!

,Always Keep Fighting.

,You Are Enough.

What a crazy few weeks!

Hey Talveons,

I just realized it has been a while since I posted on the blog.

Wow, what a crazy few weeks.

I have reached the point that I am convinced we are in some weird TV show/movie and any moment someone is going to say - You just got punked!

The sad part is I know what it took to get this far and although we want change to happen, it is deep within all the systems so it will take time to correct. We are strong together as a human race and I know that we can pull together to end injustice.

There are good cops and to those, I am sorry they have to watch their friends be hurt right now. To anyone, and I mean anyone, who causes harm to others you are not above the law, and justice will find you. We will make sure of it.

Now more than ever Always Keep Fighting and You Are Enough!
