The Audacity of Change

Change = make (someone or something) different; alter modify

No one ever said change was easy. Sometimes, change is the only way to grow. If we took fear out of the equation, what would change look like for you? How would your life be different? What impact would you have on the world and especially those around you?

This holiday season has given me the amazing opportunity to spend some time with a relative I do not get to see very often. He and I have had some very in-depth conversations abo...

The Audacity of Faith

Faith ~ belief and trust in and loyalty to God; firm belief in something for which there is no proof; complete trust

It can be so frustrating when things don’t go according to plan or when you see someone not giving nearly as much as you are getting all the benefits.  Faith tells us to just believe.  Faith tells us to be confident in our attitude and trust in God.  No matter what, have faith.

For me, I’m thinking, how is faith possible when you feel...

Sometimes It Just Takes a Woman

I think it is safe to say that everyone knows that women are strong and resilient beings. Most people are related to or at the very least know of a woman who has been tried, tested and come out on the other side stronger than ever.  Women work, take care of households, raise children, sometimes even raise their husbands, boyfriends, significant others and partners.  Women survive abuse, ridicule and the like.  Not to say that men don’t have to endure some things too, however, I am speaking from ...

What Am I Worth?

Worth the value equivalent to that of someone or something under consideration; the level at which someone or something deserves to be valued or rated. Photo by ShonEjai on Pexels.com

Who gets to decide your worth?  Who gets to measure it?  When do you know exactly,  what your worth?  How do you know when youve achieved it?

A few days ago, I got paid from my employer.  While I am very thankful and grateful to be working during a time when so many are struggling to keep their jobs or even find...

Peace Be Unto You

Peace – a state of mutual harmony between people of groups, especially in personal relations.

Scripture Reference – 2 Samuel 4

We all have varying degrees of relationships; friends, family, spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend, coworkers and in most cases we display difference parts of ourselves in those relationships.  For the most part, I am the same person in each of my relationships but because each of those relationships represents a different aspect of my lif...

Finish Strong

I don’t know about you but 2020 has been a true eye opener for me.  As with everyone else, I have seen a lot, heard a lot and made every effort to do a lot because day to day was just so unpredictable.  We’ve lost loved ones.  We’ve lost heroes.  For most of the year, we’ve been making changes, making adjustments and trying to survive all while living in a pandemic.  We have seen increases in stress, anxiety and depression across all ages.  We’ve done all we can to keep family, friends and cowor...
