Ariel Pytrell is an Argentine writer, poet, playwright and essayist. He was born in 1964 and grew up in Quilmes. His early years bear the imprint of southern Greater Buenos Aires and its mysteries. He has shown great interest towards literature and the performing arts since childhood. In 1979 two remarkable life events shaped his mind permanently: reading JRR Tolkien's books and the discovery of the Ancient Greek world. His academic background is eclectic: from Drama to Filmmaking, from Screenplay to Literature at the University of Buenos Aires; Philosophy, Advertising, and Pedagogy; Mythology, Shakespeare, and Writing. He has given lectures about Tolkien and his world, taught Modern and Classical Theater for more than two

Ariel Pytrell es escritor, poeta, dramaturgo y ensayista argentino. Nació en 1964 y creció en Quilmes, es decir que sus primeros años llevan la impronta del sur del Gran Buenos Aires y sus misterios. Desde niño, ha mostrado gran interés por la Literatura y las artes escénicas. En 1979, dos notables acontecimientos transformaron su vida forma permanente: los libros de JRR Tolkien y el mundo griego antiguo. Su formación académica es ecléctica: desde el drama a la cinematografía, del guión de cine a la Literatura en la Universidad de Buenos Aires; Filosofía, Publicidad, y Pedagogía; Mitología, Shakespeare, y la escritura. Ha dado conferencias sobre Tolkien y su mundo, enseñó teatro moderno y clásico durante más de dos décadas, y dirigió muchas obras de teatro.
