One of the best ideas on creativity I have EVER heard.

One of the best ideas on creativity I’ve ever encountered is something that comes from writer Ray Bradbury’s work. As someone who is prone to overthinking, this is something I need to remind myself of again and again. If you are someone like me, this might just be the missing piece you’ve been looking for!

Many years ago, when I was struggling with my creativity, I heard this interview with Ray Bradbury in which he talks about something that felt revolutionary to me. In the conversati...

Do you feel that there’s something wrong with you because you notice things others don’t see?

Highly sensitive people and feeling as if there's something wrong with us.

Do you feel that there is something wrong with you because you notice things that others don’t seem to observe or notice? If yes, you may be a highly sensitive person.

“Highly Sensitive Person” (or HSP) is the more colloquial, commonly-used term for someone who has the temperament trait of Sensory Processing Sensitivity (SPS). Sensing subtleties and details is an essential part of the SPS trait.

If you are an HSP, your brain & nervous system are hardwired to process any stimuli t...

Why it’s hard to make decisions as an HSP.

As highly sensitive people, we can find it hard to make decisions. Our tendency to notice details & to visualize all kinds of possible scenarios is a big part of this.

The fact that we can see so much means that there’s always some ambiguity, always some uncertainty.

As I grow older, I see more clearly that in the past, I have made big decisions at around 70% certainty.

Often, it’s easy for me to see how things can go wrong or that there are so many factors involved.

Als...

As a sensitive & introverted child, I was called “shy” for years.

As a sensitive & introverted child, I was called “shy” for years. This is one of those labels that can take us years & years to unpeel off us. I was reminded of this in my lovely conversation with Sigrid for her The New Human summit.

I know I’m not the only one who has had experiences like this. Growing up, we often get labeled “shy” or “too quiet” or “too intense” or a host of other things.

But we don’t start off as “shy.”

As little children, when we’re standing at the edge ...

The Magic Portal of Dreams: Online Workshop on June 4.

If you’ve always been curious about your dreams, this one is for you! I’m teaching an Online Workshop on Saturday, June 4 on how dreams can nourish us as sensitives. When we pay attention to the pictures & characters that show up in our night-time dreams, we’re diving into the waters of our true self.

Dreams help us find the pearls within.

I hope you’ll join me in this circle. Here are the logistical details:

Please feel free to bring a dream or dream fragment to the work...

How do I know when to trust my intuition?

Do you feel as if you’re a really intuitive person, but have somehow lost the map for how to follow that in your own life? Or that you’re missing clarity around a piece that is blocking your sensitive gifts?

Fellow sensitive Helena Reilly has invited me and 22 intuitive leaders to create the Online Quantum Home Sanctuary Summit (May 19-29) to help you unlock your authentic gifts.

Helena tells us that 2022 is a gateway year. It is THE time to find the clarity, healing and divine wisdom...

Dreamwork for Sensitives: Online Event on April 21.

As sensitive, intuitive people, we usually have a strong connection to our inner world. But that inner world can sometimes feel as if it’s full of shadowy, threatening figures. Maybe, you have nightmares where you’re chased down dark, lonely city-streets. Maybe, you find yourself walking through endless deserts. Or maybe, injured animals routinely appear in your dreams.

Many times though, our dreams are actually NOT threatening. They are simply confusing.

Even though we have a na...

Highly Sensitive People and Needs.

As highly sensitive people, we need a broad margin to our lives. We need white space. This is especially true in today’s world where tidal waves of information seem to be routinely breaking right above our heads.

So, it’s good to tally what we need. And good to think about whether we’re meeting our own needs!

Simplicity: Living here in Silicon Valley & also just as someone engaging with the online world, it feels interesting to see how every real-world problem now has a tech “so...

“The Shadow is ninety percent pure gold.”

This Saturday, March 26, I am teaching an online Zoom Dreamwork Workshop through California-based The Journey to Wellness Workshops.

Carl Jung said “The shadow is ninety percent pure gold.”

Sometimes, when we have nightmares or dream of disturbing or disgusting things like death or overflowing toilets, we want to turn away from our inner world.

We think we’ll only find darkness there.

But underneath the refuse, underneath the repressions, there are veins of gold.

If yo...
