“Well?” I jump, brush hovering over the canvas to put the last stroke on my painting. Sara’s voice cuts through all the noise in my head and the acoustic crap coming from my phone. I forgot I turned it on. I drop the brush into the cup of turpentine and look up at her. Sara has her arms to the side, palms up, and spins when I look at her. In true Sara date attire, she’s in a tight dress. The red against her pale skin draws the eye to the short hemline and low neckline. The back dips to the middle of her back, and her hair is piled up on her head to show off her slender neck. Diamond studs, black heels, and red lips solidify the look. Before I met Sara, I never would have looked at a woman dressed like a trophy wife, but suddenly I can’t take my eyes off her.
Sara looks at me for feedback. “You look amazing,” I say it with zero irony. I’ve seen her get dressed and leave for seven dates now, but she’s never asked for my opinion, and I’ve never really noticed how gorgeous she is. Of course, I know she’s pretty, but maybe after seeing her with her face natural, hair wet, and the prettiest I’ve ever seen her, I can appreciate the made up Sara.
“Thanks!” she chirps in her high voice she uses when on the phone, face turning pink.
“Welcome,” I mumble.
“Where is your shirt?” Sara’s eyes rake over me appreciatively.
“Over there.” I point at the table. “Don’t want to get paint on it.” I gesture at the specks of black on my freckled chest.
“Oh, well, don’t wait up, I think this one is a winner.” Sara winks her long lashes and grabs her black wallet from the table next to the door. My stomach twists into a knot, and I take a breath. Why do I suddenly care what she does?
“Good luck. Be safe.” I force a smile. My voice sounds like gravel when I force the words out.
Sara pauses and blinks at me. “I will. Thanks.” I take the four strides to where she’s hovering near the door and put my hand on the knob, putting me only inches from her. Her eyes go wide.
“I’ll lock the door behind you.” I twist the handle, watching the rise and fall of her chest when her breathing picks up. She swallows, big blue eyes staring up at me.
“Thank you.” She clears her throat and shifts uncomfortably.
“Anytime,” I answer after a long pause. I can smell her all around me, feel the tension crackling between us, and lean forward only an inch. Her eyes flutter closed, the gold dusting on them shimmers in the light. I lean in closer, able to feel her breath on my lips, and close my eyes.
The knock on the door makes me jump back, eyes flying open. Sara squeals, stumbling back on her high heels. Her hip bumps the table by the door, and my keys hit the floor with a dull thud. Sara’s chest rises and falls like she just ran a marathon, and my heart might come free of my ribcage. She looks up at me like a deer in headlights, and I must look the same.
Allie is a mom and dog groomer by day. At night she is posted at her laptop writing or reading in a cozy corner. She has a soft spot for gooey romance, over-creamed coffee, and anything cute and furry.

Ashton, another football player from CamU and son of Lawyer Preston, is the Prince of this Cinderella, who has wanted her from the very first day and the one time she ever talked with since High school.
Ashton and Cynthia's story is completely different from the original, he is the one who always loved her without the make over for the ball (Well, there is the famous Glass Ball of the CamU and the makeover, but just for the custom not where he first falls for her) and the who can go to any extreme to protect her. He supports her and also find her real identity.
I liked the way they love each other and I also liked the way how Cynthia is protective of her sisters and how Ashton is also protective of her and her sisters. I loved reading this book and giving it a five star as this was not the stereo type retelling of the fairy tale.

My Review
Ousted Princess, the sixth princess of the Modern Princess is about the modern-day
Pocahontas, who fights the world for the person she loves.
This story follows Veronica, a strong Spanish girl who finds out that she loves her best friend since childhood, Sean, and gets rejected when she expresses her feeling for him.
Though Sean rejects her, he is unable to stay away from his friend and this gets more awkward and sometimes both end up get hurting when Veronica has to tutor Sean to keep up his grades. And then Sean offers Veronica a bet, that might bring them closer.
Will Veronica see Sean over her wounded heart? What will happen when she realizes what she has missed for a long time? And how far she goes to fight for him? is the remaining story
I loved this rendition of the Pocahontas, I have always loved the women stand by their love through the odds and fight with them, fight for them. Tasha Lewis has done excellent work in scripting the characters and the storyline. Though the entire story is said through the voice of Veronica, every character's feeling was expressed in a way that could reach the audience. The book was a reading treat. I'm giving it a five-star rating.

She is engaged to a guy, Hunter, who she hates from her childhood and thinks him as monster.Hunter is the beast, only when it comes to the cage, he wants to prove the world wrong about the judgements made on his roots. But he is all roses when it comes to Bella. Will Bella every see the Prince behind the Beast in the cage is the remaining story.I loved this version of the famous fairytale and giving it a five star rating.

She is not just a rebellious one but also the bravest in the series, so far. I could say Rebel Princess is more towards women centric thriller story than a fairytale romance.
We will be able to see more of Emerald's bravado then her romance with Philip Quinn. Romance is there, infact a steamy one, too. But mostly it's all about Emerald's life how she comes out her University confines that restricts her to bring the truth in front of the world and realising what is actually made for. The book was impressive and I'm glad it's not a sad ending like the original - The Hunchback of Norte Dame.I'm giving a four star rating

Right Princess, Book 3 in the Modern Princess Series is the Retaliation of the fairytale, The Princess and the Pea. Ada, a third-year student at Camelot University hides her identity and works part-time at The Reef. She has an uncontrollable crush on her roomie's big brother Ro. The bar manager of The Reef is her best male friend. She struggles between her attraction towards her BMF and her crush until she realizes the right one.
So far in the Modern Princess series, this book was the first to reflect the life of a real princess, who makes mistakes, finds herself in a confusing love triangle with two bad boys, and leaving the ball to run behind the right guy. She is also ready to give up her everything to have her fairytale ending.
I liked this book, it was from one person point of view, so what we come to know about the male protagonist is the from the words of Ada only. His true feelings and emotions go unknown, so I give this book a four-star rating.

It is the exact retelling of the fairy tale with Zella as Rapunzel and Ryker as Flynn. Just Zella's adopted mother is not an evil witch who stole the baby, still, she kept Zella within the confines of their house and Zella's biological parents are not King and Queen. Well, there is Wells and Cameron replacing Maximus and Pascals as humans. Oh Yeah, the bar thugs too. I enjoyed reading this recollecting every memory of reading the old one.

“You know you can tell me anything, right?”ReviewScarred but beautifulThe way Kai (male lead) mentioning the beauty of Thorn aka Rose (female lead), can be used to describe the book too. The Imperfect Princess is the first book in Modern Princess series which follows the self-acclaimed Princess of the Camelot University (CamU). It is a retelling of Snow Queen.The story starts with five years back when Thorn, the name for Penelope Rose Thornton by Kai Madison when they are fourteen and fifteen years old teenagers from upstate New Year. Many can say the love that formed in that tender can be a temporary one though it's one's first love, for this couple, their love is craved deep inside the heart.
“What do I have to tell?” My body aches in protest, reminding me of the many secrets hidden just underneath the layers of cloth, and the many more beneath the layers of skin. What good does voicing truths do? A shared burden is still heavy, and I like feeling weightless in his presence.
“Everything…” He slips closer, breaths landing on my trembling lips. His thick blond lashes flutter, and in that same exact instant, our lips touch. And touch again.
Silk and smooth. Like melting ice.
They glide over mine, as though one year of life has blessed him with skill, my inexperience clearly evident in my ragged breaths. But he doesn’t seem to mind. When he tears his lips from mine, his hand falls to my chin, and he tilts it upward to face him. “You’re so different, Thorn.” Hovering his lips a couple inches away from mine, he whispers, “Be careful with the Del Rios. An accident separates them which gives Thorn a new identity and Kai the torment of losing his first love. Even after five years, Kai couldn't forget her. What happens when she returns to him with a new identity is the remaining story.
Author Sonya Jesus has done great work with the book. She made the book so intense, which could make one get enthralled into the book. Though the book started at a slow pace, nearing the end it reaches a fast pace. The author has mentioned every feeling, every emotion and every environment in detail that could make the readers travel to the scene and made to feel realistic. I enjoyed reading the book, I finished it in a single sitting for seven hours. Waiting to read her works and the upcoming books in the Modern Princess
