SUNDAY READS
It’s been a while since I posted some new books. This one isn’t necessarily a new release but a damn good book that I don’t mind rereading again.
I’m participating in a read along with a fellow author friend Lexi Swann. We are all reading “A Discovery of Witches” by Deborah Harkness. It is book one in the All Souls Trilogy.
A bit about the trilogy:
It follows the story of historian Diana Bishop who is looking for an elusive book Ashmole 782. She soons discovers she is a witch and meets the...

Slow & Steady…
The last couple of weeks in December were unkind to the Vorpahl family. We all ended up with severe head colds. Christmas was lowkey and we barely got well enough for our New Year Eve party.
Thankfully we were able to celebrate the new year with good food and amazing friends.
That being said I wanted to tackle 2020 with some serious force but my body had other plans. Exhaustion and a secondary infection brewed in my sinuses. So very typical for me especially after an intense head cold… I...

December is a time…
For rest. I’ve noticed several other author friends are at a stand still with writing. Must be the impending holidays. Every store we’ve gone to has been exceptionally busy.
My husband and me are not the type to shop heavily for Christmas/ Yule. We tend to like things simple so this year won’t be about the gifts but about the time we spend together with our son ( long story short my niece I was caring for is in transition to go back to her mom and my heart is filled with overwhelming joy for...

Changes- Projects
Soooo I worked up some very BASIC covers for the stories I’d like to write next after I complete Calypso’s Song. In all honesty they will probably come out before before it does. I want Calypso’s Song to be as perfectly polished as it can be before I present it to the world. Here’s why:
I have multiple characters telling the story and with that comes a distinct issue. Information and details need to be seamless throughout- no muck up’s allowed. I suddenly understand why G.R.R.M takes years to put...

NaNoWriMo Check in #1
Hey there readers and writers,
Six days into National Novel Writing Month. I’ve been getting up at 5am every morning to get the words in before my little one wakes up and so far it’s paid off. I’m working on Calypso’s Song extensively for the first two weeks and then the last two weeks I’ll work on a co-author project.
I’m one of those NaNoWriMo rebels heh

NaNoWriMo 2019
Hey there readers and writers,
Halloween will be here tomorrow! It is one of my favorite holidays and not for the candy. I love the old traditions and folklore tied to it more.
Anyway! After that NaNoWriMo starts! Write 50k words in November! NaNoWriMo is the acronym for National Novel Writing Month. I did some prep work but really I’m going to go with the flow and use 4thewords to get my word count high.
I’ll be working on two projects. Calypso’s Song and a vampire slayer inspired story w...

Saturday Author Spotlight
Hey there folks,
I am so excited we have another Saturday Spotlight with author Kaz Morran today. I love science fiction with some darkness and thrill. He is sure to deliver this. He is also a very well traveled individual living in many places like Canada and Japan. Let’s dive right into this interview shall we? And read about Kaz not from my perspective but from his:
What inspired you to start writing?
Aside from it filling an inherent need for a creative outlet, writing–and science fiction in partic...
