Adalynd Grayves is a devoted wife and mother by day and a fantasy author by night, where she spends most of her time writing. She enjoys working on her books and getting her craft on (especially crochet). Although her careers sometimes overlap. She enjoys every single second of being a stay-at-home-mom to one of the cutest boys around. She’s married to her best friend and love of her life. They’ve enjoyed many adventures during their twelve years together and can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next decade.

Writer's block only exists if you say it does. Sometimes you need to work on other things or even take a solid break from your work to get back into the right groove. (less)

Hey there everyone,

It has been a hard month as I saw my sweet dog Trixie over the rainbow bride Sept 2nd. She had become extremely ill and then they found a massive growth inside her body. With her having Valley Fever surgery was impossible. The hard decision was made to help ease over the bridge. It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done in my life. I miss Trixie so much.

This has pushed s

"I read the Throne of Slumber story within this set and I loved it! It was a gender bend Sleeping Beauty retelling and it was done beautifully. It had everything, divided kingdoms, Faeted mates, magic, battle and you could still picture the Sleeping B" Read more of this review »

C.S. Lewis
“Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.”
C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

“To be a Christian means to forgive the inexcusable because God has forgiven the inexcusable in you.”

Alan Moore
“Because while the truncheon may be used in lieu of conversation, words will always retain their power. Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense. ”
Alan Moore, V for Vendetta

“I love you, but why must you love the law? 'Tis plain for all to see that she's a whore...that virtuous persons have no need to woo; that villains screw, then studiously ignore.”
Alan Moore, V for Vendetta

Alan Moore
“Good evening, London. I would introduce myself, but truth to tell, I do not have a name. You can call me “V”. Since mankind’s dawn, a handful of oppressors have accepted the responsibility over our lives that we should have accepted for ourselves. By doing so, they took our power. By doing nothing, we gave it away. We’ve seen where their way leads, through camps and wars, towards the slaughterhouse. In anarchy, there is another way. With anarchy, from rubble comes new life, hope reinstated. They say anarchy’s dead, but see…reports of my death were…exaggerated. Tomorrow, Downing Street will be destroyed, the Head reduced to ruins, an end to what has gone before. Tonight, you must choose what comes next. Lives of our own, or a return to chains. Choose carefully. And so, adieu.”
Alan Moore, V for Vendetta
