Saturday Author Spotlight

Hey there folks!

I love our Saturday Author Spotlights and today I am interviewing E.W. Barnes; who like me can’t stick to one genre (plus let’s get real it’s boring! Especially with so many new worlds to explore. Let’s find out more about E.W! Time to get this interview started.

What inspired you to start writing?

After years of writing non-fiction, I wanted to try my hand at fiction.

When did you decide that you wanted to publish your first story?

When I fell into a world that had many...

Title Reveal!

I’m excited to announce the title for the dark mermaid story. Let me tell you all a bit about Calypso’s Song!

Like the titled divulged. This story is about a 22-year-old woman named Calypso and her transformation from human to mermaid.

She’s always been the shy and quiet type because of her crippling anxiety but when she is betrayed by the one she thought she loved most things begin to change rapidly and by things, I really mean she begins to change.

Between transformation and hunger pains...

Sunday Reads

Hey there readers and writers!

If you’re anything like me you love books. Every Sunday I’ll be sharing some books with y’all along with chatting about what books I’m currently reading. I’d love to hear from each and every one of you in the comments. Share what you’re reading with me.

Right now I’m working on a list of books to read over the next few weeks. I’ve been preordering a lot so I have a ton of choices to go through. Decisions, decisions!

Today I’m sharing the Rogue Skies box set....

Saturday Author Spotlight

Hey there folks,

I have had one hell of a week so this interview comes at you in the hours of the eve [at least for me it’s around 21:00 ( 9pm)] I am proud to present another dark fantasy author who also writes in multiple genres. She is an indie author of many tales. She is also a life long goth, living with two kids, two cats, and a poet by the sea. Our author today is Carmilla Voiez. I am pleased to have her with us today. Without further ado let’s begin this interview

Saturday Author Spotlight

Hey there readers and writers,

*Drum roll*

Another Saturday is upon us and this means we get the chance to be introduced to another author! Whoot! A big welcome to author Claire Buss, who like me, writes in multiple genres( heck to the yes- no reason to limit ourselves right?) She is from the UK, loves baking, and Pinterest ( woman after my own heart). No reason to make this intro any longer than it needs to so let’s get this interview started!

Overload

A while back when I first started writing again I joined this site called Savvy Authors. They had affordable classes for authors and some other cool things. Anyway, it’s been one of those writing resources I thoroughly enjoy and am always happy to have on hand to help me with the writing craft.

They have a cool online writing event called SavvyWriterCon yearly with webinars and mini-intensive lectures I highly recommend it.

So I totally just breezed through four minis. So many notes! Brain...

Teaser Tuesdays

I usually throw these snippets in my facebook reader group Lexx’s Lair but I wanted to share here too. I shared these a few weeks back just a heads up if you happen to head on over to the group for a look-see. ( take note raw-unedited- and possibly subject to change when edits officially begin):

Calypso:

Teaser 1:“To her horror she had learned the hard way. The pains of hunger had taken their grasp on day two her friend Kevin had paid the price. She couldn’t help but get caught up in the me...

Monday Musings

Sometimes it’s rather nice to just sit and enjoy all the little moments in life. Instead of full speed ahead and always going. Enjoy the moments of slowing down and living.

Taking some of those moments today. Frustration had set in earlier but I pulled myself back and asked myself if all the fuss was worth it in the end.

Come to find out it wasn’t so now relaxing and enjoy those precious moments with my family.

How about you folks? Do you need to slow down and live instead of rushing to de...

The Witch is in the Works!

If you’ve been reading my blog posts since the beginning or happened upon my bog witch post and then suddenly it is all about mermaids what!?!? And maybe you are confused ( hell I confuse myself sometimes with all these stories hehe!) Fear not! she is still in the works and getting heavily outlined.

I have been working on the outline in the evenings ( with a few others too). You see I had this dream, this very interesting dream about three witches and a garden that grows something out of the...
