Hey All!

Hey there readers and writers,

I have missed you so! I have been so busy securing spots with other indie authors as their personal assistant and working on my own writing, that the blog sat there in a dusty, darkened corner; waiting for my return. I dusted the poor thing off this morning and apologized deeply.

I have some things brewing so to speak. I am usually in the thick of writing short stories for different anthologies and that usually means a different genre that what I write in. I a...

The niece was the main character. I saw everything through her eyes. Some of the things that stood out were the garden and the aunts evil nature. They weren’t straight up evil but they were not “good” if we want to put it in those terms.

They had a taste for using bones and flesh in their potions. They we...

Beta Reader

This is such a good topic to bring up, this won’t be typical. I have several articles I found on it to share and then sharing what I have done as a writer so far to get my beta readers gathered.

I knew at some point I would need beta readers. I always thought oh better use them for the book. Why oh why did I limit myself in that thinking? I am writing short stories for anthologies. Why not get some beta readers to help me polish those stories off before I send them in?!?!

So today I began w...

Self-care Sunday

Readers and writers alike,

Have you taken the time for some self-care? This is your weekly reminder to find a day to relax, unwind, and just rest!

Writing is tough, super tough if you ask me! Particularly with two kids. How do I fit all the stuffs in and take care of myself?!?!? I’m still figuring this out!

I let myself reach burnout and the consequence was two different illnesses from Jan to the last week of Feb ( I started to feel better on the 26th of Feb).

Never again! ( hopefully lol!) I...

Character Profile: Donavan, Jacob, and Natalie.

My short story titled ” A Divine Christmas” that was published last year in ” Apocalyptic Holidays” has a few characters within the story. First we come in contact with Donavan and Jacob. Brothers first by choice and later by law ( Don always had a thing for Natalie, Jacob’s twin sister).

Donavan is one of my favorites. He’s a devoted family man. Family is everything. His pregnant wife is top priority to him. Don grew up with some pretty awesome folks for parents while Jacob and Natalie did n...
