The Gilded Madonna
I see the uploads went without hitch to Amazon, and the paperback version seems to be at a reduced price for the first week. They're also offering a 10% discount. It might be time to grab a copy if you actually like to hold books in your hands.
Tomorrow the manuscript for the sequel to The Seventh of December goes for the final proofread, due out in July this year. It's been busy, but a writer who doesn't like writing? Well, that's NOT me ♥

Looks like we have touchdown!
I've just heard from the publisher that The Gilded Madonna should go on pre-sale tomorrow (19th March) or the day after, for release on the 2nd of April.
I'll link my website once I get it updated, so you can read a bit about the story.
I do hope you'll enjoy more Clyde Smith, more crime and drama, and more of his special "circle of friends".

The Gilded Madonna
The first "galley" has just arrived from the publisher and this morning I'll start work on the first check to see whether everything is as it should be.
I'd like the layout to look exactly like The Cricketer's Arms, so the internals of both books match. It's looking great!
I can't wait for everyone to catch up with Clyde. I really enjoyed writing this book, and although it won't be out for another twelve months, I have the notes and outlines for book #3 in the series ready to start work on in May.
I'll keep you posted, but The Gilded Madonna, the second book in the Clyde Smith Mystery series should be available by the end of March. Four weeks to go, fingers crossed!

The Seventh of December. 2nd edition
Happy to announce that the second edition of The Seventh of December is now available in both paperback (for those who've been clamouring for it for the past two years) and in paperback.
New prologue, streamlined and re-edited, the restitution of two minor characters who were chopped during the original editing process, but who've proved vital to later sequels in the series.
Thanks for the support, readers.

The Seventh of December
The Second Edition has just gone to the publisher, due out guess when? Oh yeah, the 7th December 2020.
New revised edition, several addition, including an action packed prologue, to signal the book is a spy thriller, through which a love story gently unfolds.
New cover too. Should be up for pre-order in about a month from now.

Wheelchair
Wheelchair is now live.
This is a story not for the faint-hearted. I deal with some very challenging issues here, and if it wasn't a crime fiction novel, in which these things are not expected, I'd be giving a trigger warning.
However, everything in this book is based on real life experiences, garnered through a series of nearly 30 interviews with men who are or were into humiliation play via boxing or wrestling.
There's still a crime thriller holding the whole thing together, but seen through the eyes of flawed men, and how they can care for each other in times when they aren't self-punishing.

The Seventh of December
It's with some sadness that my time with Manifold Press in the UK is drawing to a close. As the publisher will be closing their doors next year, the rights to this book will revert to me on the 1st of September, 2020.
However, my Australian publisher is chomping at the bit to reissue the book in both paperback and in e-book form, and it will be released, guess when? Yes, on the 7th December, 2020.
The new edition has been extensively re-worked (without losing any of the original) and will be expanded and re-edited, including the lengthy prelude that was not included in the first edition.
As a bonus, the sequel, long ready for publication, is now in edits for release in 2021.

Wheelchair
My forthcoming title, next off the rank, is a contemporary psychological police procedural. It's about obsession and compulsion.
Currently in edits, it goes into production early August, with a release date of the 18th September to coincide with a podcast interview.
More news as it happens. And oh, for those lovers of The Cricketer's Arms, more Clyde Smith coming your way. The sequel is written and the editor starts work in early August.
