Солнце начинало садиться, пустыню осыпало золотом, песок переливался, рисуя солнечную дорожку, словно на воде. Величественное безмолвие как-то незаметно разлилось в темнеющем воздухе. Задумчивое настроение обуяло людей. Фрей гортанно, упоенно выдохнул, любуясь красотой природы, плотоядно посмотрел на Иску, бирюзовые глаза викинга лучисто улыбались.
– Не останешься на ночь у нас? – спросил Раджим, не оборачиваясь.
– Нет, брат, не в этот раз, дорога долгая, хотим заночевать за пустыней, – отозвался викинг.
Сын песка понимающе кивнул.
Еще какое-то время задумчивого молчания и пустыня выпустила путников из своих сетей. Фрей и Искандер попрощались с Раджимом, дети песка остались со своим родителем, а караван пошел дальше.
Искандер обернулся назад, это был словно первый рубеж, перейдя который он прощался с домом. Он снова шел на север, невольно вспомнился тот первый поход. Насколько разные они были. Искандер усмехнулся, бросил взгляд на Фрея. Викинг словно сам излучал солнечный свет. Шейх невольно залюбовался мужчиной, огладил пальцами шрам, подаренный северянином. Что-то произойдет в этом путешествии. Должно произойти.
