Are You Missing the Moments That Matter Most? {#MOH Link-Up & Giveaway!}

Do you feel as though you are fighting a losing battle as you try to fully live in the moments that matter most? What is chronos and kairos time and which one is the right battle to fight? I teamed up with #JORDWATCHES to share strategies for not missing the moments that matter in this post! #chronos #kairos #time #moments #chrisitianlife #momentsofhope

In each of our lives there is a level of tension when it comes to the issue of time. It’s a fight for each of us at some point – some of us more than others. I often joke that I keep praying for more than a 24-hour day, but God never sees fit to grant me that request.

I’ve come to realize, though, that it’s time I wave a white flag in surrender. Fighting time is a battle no one will ever win. Time continually passes and we have no control over it. There simply is no fight to be won.

Yet there i...

When You Are Tired of Dealing with Regret {#MOH Link-Up}

Regret.

How many of us live with it? How much of our lives does regret control?

Is regret something you deal with today? I lived many years emotionally exhausted from dealing with regret. For me it was an abortion when I was 17 years old. Today, I am here to share hope with you. Hope to heal and move forward. #abortion #regret #hope #godslove

For many of us, it’s far too much.

There’s the regret that serves as a simple reminder saying, “I made a mistake, but I learned from it and am stronger today.” But then there’s the other kind of regret.

The one that lives in the hallways of our mind, constantly infiltrating our thoughts and lives. It steals our joy, our contentment, and our fullness of life.

What is at the root of regret?

It’s something we did that we w...

Yes! You Are a Miracle and Most Wonderfully Made! {#MOH Link-Up}

Feeling comfortable in my own skin has been a long process for me.

I was always tall for my age – strong and athletic instead of “skinny” and delicate. I loved the sparkly things in life while at the same time was happy getting muddy or jumping into athletics with the guys.

Even though the prospect of digging for worms or hunting for frogs to sell at our family bait shop excited me, a different vision of wonderfully made filled my head. Instead of adventurous, strong, and independent, I longed...

To the Woman Pondering the Abortion Debate: This Is My Story {#MomentsofHope}

It’s a story I’ve never shared with you here in this place.  It’s one I’ve shared as a speaker – one I’ve shared with other women when I knew my story would bring them hope.

But never here.

Maybe because God knew my “such a time as this” would be right now as our country wages war in the abortion debate. Right now, when the realities have come to a boiling point as the state of New York passed a bill and other states attempt to pass similar bills all allowing doctors the legal right to perform...

May Your Christmas Be Filled With Hope

2018 is drawing to a close.

As always, I can hardly believe we are here. Yet, God still hasn’t seen fit to grant me my request of more hours in a day! Sigh …

Finding the Kind of Hope that Lasts

Hope. Such a small but powerful word – one that within its four letters holds victory or defeat for our lives. Without hope we stop standing when difficult tomorrows attempt to push us down. Without hope our joy fades, identity disappears, and all that we value becomes meaningless.

So, where do we find hope? Where do we seek it out?

How do we keep hope alive?

How do we keep hope alive? #hope

When our hope is found in people, achievement, or life dreams we suffer a rollercoaster of hope. And it can never last. So where do we find a hope that lasts and how do we keep hope alive? #christmas #hope #godslove

Often, we look to things that cannot remain. Things that fade, wither, and die.

Maybe we loo...

A Prayer for Hope When Life Is Difficult

Prayer is one of my favorite topics to write about here in this space. I can’t imagine my life without bold prayers where I praise our awesome God, pour out all the contents of my heart, and petition on behalf of others.

The kind of prayers where I find hope.

Sometimes we just need help to find the words to pray. This is a prayer for hope that uses Scripture as its foundation. It is one I wrote at a time I needed hope. A prayer for hope is a part of the resources available with the #surrenderedheartsbook #adoption #hope #godslove

But, the truth is, I didn’t always have that kind of prayer life.

At one time, I didn’t grasp the depth of power we find in a prayer. I prayed. However, they weren’t bold. Often they were memorized and the depth of the words I repeated...

Bible Verses About Adoption That Give You Hope

All of life is complicated and requires direction, wisdom, and hope to survive it with hands raised in victory. It wasn’t any different during the years of our adoption. We needed help to get through it victoriously. Undeniably, that unwavering help came from Scripture. Therefore, we started with Bible verses about adoption.

Wherever you are in the adoption process, I can’t recommend anything more than to dig through the pages of your Bible and tuck God’s Word away safely in your heart. (And...

When Being Grateful Is Not Easy and You Need Encouragement {#MomentsofHope Link-Up}

Sometimes being grateful at Thanksgiving is not easy to do. Is that where you are this year or in this season? Or maybe it’s a close friend or family member. Whether the obstacles are large or small, we can all use an encouraging reminder to the power we gain from being grateful.

Are you facing a season of obstacles that make being grateful difficult? We all need an encouraging reminder from time to time. #thanksgiving #grateful #gratitude #gratefulheart #adoptionstories #christianbooks #surrenderedheartsbook

When Being Grateful Isn’t Easy

What is it that you are longing for? Are you willing to surrender to the One who makes the impossible possible? This book is our story of surrender and one of the miracles that has come because of that very act of surrendering.#SurrenderedHeartsBook #Godslove #ChristianAuthor #Adoption #NationalAdoptionMonth #authorsI remember when our family was in the middle of our adoption journey. We’d gone through 22 months of tumultuous ups and downs. After falling in love with a little girl and believing s...
