15 Inspirational Bible Verses About Trusting God

These are 15 Inspirational Bible Verses About Trusting God I have often turned toward in my faith journey. And, as always included in this series, is a prayer incorporating the scriptures — A Prayer to Trust God. #bibleverses #scripture #prayingscripture #christianlivng #trustinggod #hope #faith #surrender #inspirationalbibleverses #bibleversesaboutrustinggod #printableprayers #prayers #trustgod

Trusting God often goes against everything our physical body and emotions feel. After all, to act out our trust is to let go, or to surrender. We trust in someone or something so that we can take a step back. It allows us room to breathe and relax. However, the more we love —the more we care about an outcome or a situation —the more we desire to control it rather than step back and surrender it.

10 Bible Verses About Worry and Stress That Will Put Your Mind at Ease

We long for a wholeness that comes from the One who loves us and can do immeasurably more than anything we can do on our own. Here are 10 Bible verses about worry and stress that will give you hope and put your mind at ease. Plus, a war room prayer to combat worry and stress. #bibleverses #worryandstress #worry #stress #prayer #bibleversesaboutworryandstress #hope #livesurrendered #trustGod

Worry and Stress.

Ugh! Escaping it is a moment by moment task.

I think some personalities are more prone to taking things in stride than others. However, I also believe that no matter how “worry-prone” we tend to be, we can still find respite for our very exhausted souls.

Meaningful Bible Verses and Prayer for Your Every Need

In this series, each week will give you 10 favorite meaningful Bible verses and prayer for your every need. The series will include verses and prayers for things like: worry and stress, trusting God, unconditional love, a grateful heart, faithfulness, not giving up, joy, courage, and insecurity. #bibleverses #prayer #wordofgod #meaningfulbibleverses #favoritebibleverses #joy #insecurity #worryandstress #trustinggod

Those moments when we search for something meaningful to say, yet come up empty-handed, are frustrating. We want to help, but our words feel shallow — insufficient.  Then there are also those moments when it’s not about others. Those moments when we are in need of hope for ourselves.

I believe we cannot fill our deepest needs with things of this world. Our needs and our stories are God-shaped and meant to be filled by Him. Thus, there is always one place where we can turn to gather hope. One place where hope...ourselves.

How to Lead by Example and Be More Charitable

Just as God works for our good, we, too, should do the same for others. That is the heart behind Christian charity. There are many ways we can do this. Let’s look at three ways... #christianliving #parenting #leadbyexample #charity #generosity #charitable #motherhood #charitableresources

Today I welcome guest writer, David Andrews. Whether it’s the all-too-frequent me, me, me screaming from the mouths of our toddlers or the rolling eyes and self-absorbed comments uttered by our teenagers, we wonder how will we ever convey the spirit and heart of Christian charity to them. How will we train up these precious children God has given us?

It comes down to shepherding their hearts and leading by example.

Why Are Trust and Obedience Powerful Parenting Skills?

Are our parenting skills determined by the size of our fear? Do we play it so safe we miss out on their best? Is it time to be brave? #raisingchildren #parenting #momlife #christianparenting #adoption #raisingkids #trustinthelord #obedience #faith #fear

Does our repertoire of parenting skills need to include trust and obedience? Is it really something we can develop over time?

As I’ve said so often here before, “Raising children isn’t for the faint of heart!” It is the greatest gift, yet most difficult challenge in life — a place where we discover a love that moves mountains. And a part of that love is learning to let go. It’s learning to obey and trust in the Lord because our children belong to Him. He created them with love and care — after...

Raising Children: This Is What Happens When You Choose to Let Go

Raising children is never easy. Often, it means surrendering our fear and letting go to prepare them for the future — for some of the best things in life. #parenting #christianparenting #godslove #hope #lettinggo #surrender #trustgod

A special young lady in my life just became a mama recently. She’s amazing and if anyone was ready for it, it was her. She spent years while getting her education in the mental health field providing respite care for our daughter and coming to my rescue when sometimes I just needed a break.

Just the other day as she was visiting, she told me that being a mom is harder than she ever imagined. And I think every single one of us who has become a mama agrees with her because raising children is t...

The God of Wonders delights in us and gives us a way to walk out of shame. We can claim our child-of-God identity and live in the fullness of His love and grace.

It’s good to be back here in this place with you. My time away was well spent with my family, sitting courtside for a whole lot of basketball, completing a book proposal for what I hope to be my second book, writing articles and posts for some other upcoming projects, and working towards getting healthier.

Healthier physically, emotionally, and spiritually. It’s easy for me to get lost in this ministry of words then find myself forgetting some of the very important aspects of...

Teen Stress: One Powerful Way to Help Your Child Stand Strong

Teen stress is more prevalent than ever before and social media has a lot to do with that. How do we help them stand strong in their faith? How do we help them navigate beyond stress and overwhelm? #teens #teenstress #stress #socialmedia #parenting #biblestudy #hope #stormsoflife #identityinchrist #identity

Teen stress is more prevalent today than ever before. A lot of that has to do with social media. As I watch my own boys navigate their worlds of faith, academics, personal goals, friendships, work, and sports, I am reminded of how complicated it is to be a teen. But then we add social media into that picture and it becomes almost unimagineable for those of us who grew up before it became mainstream.

Today, I welcome Pastor Brad Mathias of Bema Media, Road Trip Parenting, and the Brilliantly Br...
