Tennis brawl erupts after player slap
A brawl broke out after a tennis match in Ghana on Monday, when a 15-year-old player slapped his opponent after losing a match in the first round of an ITF juniors tournament.
Video footage shows French tennis player Michael Kouame meeting Ghana’s Raphael Nii Ankrah at center court, where he appeared to reach for a handshake but slapped Ankrah in the face instead.
Although it is unclear what led Kouame to slap his opponent, the move sparked an all-out brawl, according to videos posted on social media.
Michael Kouame slapped his opponent, Raphael Nii Ankrah, following a loss at a junior tournament.TwitterThe footage was initially shared by the Functional Tennis podcast, which said Tuesday in an Instagram Story that they decided to remove the clip. A tennis coach in Ghana obtained the footage and posted it on Twitter.
Ankrah beat Kouame — who was the No. 1 seed heading into the tournament — in three sets (6–2, 6–7, 7–6) to advance to the second round, where he will face Ishmael Nii Nortey Dowuona, also of Ghana.
Ankrah will return to the court on Tuesday for a doubles match against Italy’s Davide Brunetti and France’s Mickael Kaouk.

100’S MORE J6 RIOTERS RATTED OUT

WASHINGTON — Aided by citizen sleuths who keep identifying Jan. 6 rioters, the Justice Department is finding that it has more cases than lawyers to prosecute them.
Fifteen months after a mob stormed the Capitol in support of then-President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss, more than 775 defendants have been arrested. More than 225 have pleaded guilty so far, and two have been convicted at trial: one by a jury and one by a judge. More than 50 have been sentenced to prison.
That leaves more than 500 active cases that still need to be resolved, either by plea deal or trial.
The Justice Department is asking Congress for additional funds to prosecute those cases — a list that keeps growing.
And even as the Justice Department closes in on the 800 arrest mark, there’s still an incredibly long road ahead. Multiple online sleuths in a network of “Sedition Hunters” working to find Jan. 6 participants have told NBC News that they’ve successfully identified to the FBI hundreds of additional Jan. 6 rioters — including dozens who are pictured on the FBI’s Capitol Violence website.
“There are hundreds still to go,” said one online sleuth closely involved in the investigation, speaking anonymously to avoid retaliation from supporters of the rioters.…

AG Merrick Garland Could Soon Be Replaced…

Criticism of Attorney General Merrick Garland over the pace of the investigation into the Jan. 6 Capitol riots has grown over the past few days. “Merrick Garland is failing the United States of America,” Democratic Texas Rep. Joaquin Castro said on CNN Sunday. Jennifer Rubin, columnist for The Washington Post, wrote that Biden “has every right to a new attorney general who embraces the public, educational nature of the job and who will push back aggressively against institutional reticence and wariness of disrupting outmoded conventions.”
Liberals have criticized Attorney General Merrick Garland’s handling of the investigation into the events of Jan. 6, 2021, with some even calling for his replacement.
“So far, Merrick Garland is failing the United States of America,” Democratic Texas Rep. Joaquin Castro said on CNN Sunday, adding that “Trump is a threat to our democracy, and we need to treat him like one” in a tweet Sunday night.

Musk Appointed to Twitter Board

Upon the announcement that Elon Musk had taken a 9.2% stake in the big tech platform Twitter, the media reported the investment as “passive” – an unlikely narrative given Musk’s criticism of the company he just shelled out nearly $3 billion to become the largest individual shareholder in.Now, a day later, it’s confirmed that Musk will indeed be taking an active role in the company. “I’m excited to share that we’re appointing Elon Musk to our board!” Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal wrote this morning. “Through conversations with Elon in recent weeks, it became clear to us that he would bring great value to our Board.”
Musk replied that he’s looking forward to making “significant improvements” in coming months.

Stacey Abrams reaches millionaire status

ATLANTA (AP) — When Democrat Stacey Abrams first ran for Georgia governor in 2018, her lackluster personal finances and a hefty bill from the IRS gave Republicans fodder to question how she could manage a state budget when she struggled with her own debts. As she launches a second bid this year, that’s no longer an issue.Abrams now says she’s worth $3.17 million, according to state disclosures filed in March. That’s compared with a net worth of $109,000 when she first ran four years ago. Her rapid ascent into millionaire status corresponds with her rise in national politics. Since her 2018 defeat to Republican Brian Kemp, Abrams has become a leading voting rights activist. She was considered as a potential running mate to President Joe Biden and is widely credited with organizing voters in Georgia to help him become the first Democrat to carry the state in the presidential vote in 28 years. Along the way, she has earned $6 million, mostly driven by $5 million in payments …

Ex-NFL Player: $20 Gas OK if ‘No Trump’

Two-time Super Bowl champ turned Fox Sports NFL commentator Shannon Sharpe is happy for the rest of us to live with skyrocketing gas prices if that’s the price of no more mean tweets.
The 53-year-old former Denver Broncos tight end tweeted his disdain for former President Donald Trump in response to a challenge from another twitter user.
After Sharpe was seemingly complaining about gas prices, he was asked, “Do you still hate Donald?”
I’d rather pay 20 bucks a gallon than have Trump in office. Hope that answers your question https://t.co/zdL1hgZ17P

Tiger Woods draws massive crowd for Masters
AUGUSTA, Ga. — This thing’s getting real.
Tiger Woods took another significant step toward the first tee Thursday morning to play his 24th Masters opening round. For the second consecutive day, he practiced and played some holes, playing the front nine Monday afternoon after playing the back a day earlier.
Never mind the “game-time decision’’ assessment given by Woods in his Sunday morning tweet. Barring a serious setback, Woods will be playing this week. And the closer the moment gets, the more it sets in how remarkable that moment will be when he tees it up Thursday.
Woods’ presence at Augusta has had the place positively buzzing, and not only from the massive galleries of fans — more than 35,000 were estimated to be on the grounds Monday — jockeying for position to get a glimpse of him, but from Woods’ fellow competitors, too.
The fact that he’s set to compete in arguably golf’s most important major championship f …

Throwing Hunter under bus won’t clear Joe
Hunter Biden won’t like the interview his father’s chief of staff Ron Klain did with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Sunday.
Asked about the Delaware investigation into the president’s son’s business affairs, Klain threw Hunter and his uncle Jim Biden under the bus.
“The president is confident that his family did the right thing. But, again, I want to just be really clear, these are actions by Hunter and his brother. They’re private matters. They don’t involve the president. And they certainly are something that no one at the White House is involved in.”
This is the party line, parroted by the Washington Post and CNN in their belated coverage of the story last week.
Sure, they say, it looks bad for Hunter, but, gosh, Joe Biden had nothing to do with it.
Unfortunately, this line of defense does not sustain scrutiny.
Judging by morsels trickling out of the ongoing investigation into Hunter, the scope has widened to include questions involving the president.
Joe Biden’s chief of staff Ron Klain said “no one at the White House is involved” in the grand jury investigation into Hunter Biden.WireImage‘Big Guy’
Witnesses testifying before the Delaware grand jury are believed to have been asked if they know who is the “Big Guy” referred to in coded fashion in emails on Hunter’s abandoned laptop and in WhatsApp messages his former business partner Tony Bobulinski handed to the FBI in October 2020.
Bobulinski asserts that the “Big Guy” is Joe Biden.
The identity of the “Big Guy” is relevant because he was to be allocated 10% equity in a joint venture Hunter and par …
