Exemplification-of-Being

"Life-panic is lack of Trust, which is lack of Self-Trust, which is lack of Self-Confidence and Self-Assuredness, resulting in lack of Joy and un-empowers us." - From: Insights of the New Nobility
Self-Trust, Self-Confidence and Self-Assuredness are founded on what? On knowing everything? Obviously no! Then on what?
They're all rooted in the reliance on our Ability to Do, adjust, figure out, be Appropriate, be Sensible. On our Sobriety, our Patience, our Humility, our Energy and Ability-to-Learn. On our Trust in our Intent-to-Goodness, our Unrelenting-Positivity, our Perpetual-Awareness, and of course, our Indisputable-Impeccability!
With all this, we might say, "But but, sometimes I just don't know and there's not always time to figure out or learn, then what?"
That's when we bring out Capital T Trust!! That's what. Because that Trust is also a Trust in our Personal Power. The Trust we'll *make* things work out good, regardless of not knowing how. Trusting our Personal Power no matter how small it may be is part of our Impeccability. Because at root, Impeccability is the best use of Energy. This is our Difference. The Difference of our Way-of-Being of living as a Spirit-Warrior. We have other weapons and shields, those of Energy and Intent, Power, Sobriety, Trust, Awareness, and.... our ultimate power, weapon and shield, **JOY!!!**
With these Abilities-of-Character and Self we know we can affect the outcome of events in ways which are not in the ordinary world. We have More, are More, no matter how little that More may be, it's there. Our unflinching Honesty ensures our Humility, but we also know we are not nothing. Thus in that More we will Trust when we've Impeccably done all we can, when we've *been* Impeccable and know we always *are* Impeccable, regardless of our errors and ignorance, we're still at root Impeccable in our Intent, in our ever-ongoing learning, and this is where we come to our true power: **JOY!!!**
If we do not move into Joy, it's as if we're saying to our Full-Selves, to the Universe, "I do not Trust, I do not Celebrate myself and Appreciate who and what I am and have become, and who I will be."
"But," our Deep-Self admonishes, "As nothing as we may be in the Universal Context, where we are now is still considerable compared to where we were."
We *have* Learned, we *DO* know some little, and what we have learned and what we know is enough for Joy and Trust, for we have learned about Sobriety, we have learned to Understand Impeccability and the Humility it brings, we know of Power, we realise Patience is a SuperPower as we fully comprehend Trust to be. How can we *Not* be Joyful knowing all this? How can we not Enjoy our Being with this Awareness and Understanding that we have these *Tools-of-Being* at our disposal? How?
Only if we are crappy and insist on knowing the future and knowing everything, and insist on not *Making-Peace-With-The-Unknown.* This, this acceptance of the obvious reality of our condition is our secret Magic!!! This is what makes the Difference between living as a Spirit-Warrior or as a nincompoop.
A nincompoop knows it doesn't know, knows its flaws, knows its inabilities, incompetences, knows it doesn't know, but, it's the *ego* fear of the nincompoop which dreads exposure and makes it afraid of the Unknown. The most foolish of fears as the Unknown is one indisputable fact of our existence and will always be. Thus, unless we want to always *live* as a nincompoop, we first have to make peace with the fact that in some way, we will always be nincompoops relative to the Universe, that's the Humility of the Spirit-Warrior, then we shift to knowing we have Tools-of-Power with which to deal with the Unknown.
These Tools are the Empowerment of the Spirit-Warrior. Thus, what's left to do? Once we're set on our never-ending Journey into the Unknown, what else do we need to Accomplish before we get to JOY? Nothing! JOY *IS* our ultimate accomplishment right *NOW!*
Our journey is not *TO* Joy, since that will take forever. Our Journey into the Unknown is also a Journey into the magic of Infinity, and as such, we cannot wait to get to Joy. If we wait, thinking it's the end of our Journey, we'll wait for infinity. No, Joy is the accomplishment which comes from *BEING* on the Journey. Joy is the *consequence* of being on the journey. Joy is the culmination of our efforts to *get* onto our Path. Joy is the Awareness of the realisation that we *are* now on the Journey into the Unknown.
We celebrate the infinity of the Unknown as the Gift-of-Perpetual-Magic it is, and Joy is. Thus, how can we not feel Joy, be Joy? What else is there to do which makes *more* sense than feeling Joy? What? As a Spirit-Warrior on the never-ending Journey into the infinite Magic of the Unknown, all we have is our Impeccability, Trust, and Joy. But without Joy, what's the point?
Comes a time we have to make this shift, this shift to Self-Acceptance of the reality of who and what we are, who and what we have become, who and what we are going to be, will be, and the knowing no matter how much we are, there will *always* be More, and always we will be nothing. Thus, we have to shift to enjoying the *Process* of becoming, the Joy of Being, that Journey into the More-of-Being, which is a perpetual Journey-of-Joy we can enjoy NOW! Through that Joy we Empower our Being, through that Empowerment, through our Impeccability and our Path, we move to the Joyful Exemplification-of-Being which balances our Attunement with the World.
And enables us.
Enables us through the Joy of knowing our Humility. The Humility of a Spirit-Warrior. The Joy of knowing it's not a limitation or an inhibition, but an Empowered Freedom when connected to the More of our unrelenting Life-Efforts. We are enabled through the Joyful Awareness of those labours which have yielded the considerable value and usefulness we have at our disposal. But, which we can only take full advantage of through an Impeccable Exemplification-of-Being, through the constant empowered Joy of Self-Understanding, and the full acceptance of a Self-Honesty which includes our More, a More we can no longer hide, and a More which is not a conflict to the fact of our ever-present Humility, but a More to celebrate and exemplify through the Joy of *Being* who we are, unrequited.

Changing the World
Podcast: https://anchor.fm/nobelia/episodes/Changing-the-World-e2okrr
The world is a description and we're the ones describing it.
I've been thinking More on my responses to certain posts of negative certitude, and particularly why I feel and believe such posts matter, and specifically, *how* they matter.
The world is a description and we're the ones describing it. An Understanding worth repeating.
I deeply resonate with this Understanding. It's long since more than a belief to me as it's a reality I've verified and applied many times. However, there are a great many howevers. Describing the world is not a simple matter. The complexity and the mechanisms involved matter a great deal. Yes, we as individuals *can* affect our individual world with our description. But, in the reality of our Power, the degree of that change is limited when directly applied.
This reality, the "real-world" reality, the world of humanity, is the result of a *collaborative* description, albeit an inadvertent collaboration, or one most are unaware of. But how do we as a collective come to have the beliefs and ideas which describe the World? Especially that critical component, those *convictions* which are the actual forces of description and thus what determines the nature of the reality we find ourselves in? How do those convictions come to be?
They're adopted through force of argument, through belief-chains, which are perceived to be unarguable, and thus become convictions, as these are believed to be unassailable, and therefore the new point comes to be taken as a truth. That new truth, which as a conviction, is what affects the description. When these come to be adopted on the whole, the world changes. Such 'authority' of explanation or descriptions spread quickly as they provide considerable status leverage via perceived credibility and the safety of unarguability.
How does his relate to us? Because, when we involve ourselves with expressions of conviction, with idea-chains, with descriptions-of-the-world, which we may see as merely our own, we now partake in a potential change of the entire world. If we this sharing of conviction in a public forum, if we put them out into the world, and they have that unassailable perception to them, we are contributing possible effect on the World.
It's here I have difficulty and a problem with such expressions of conviction, which, yes, describe accurately a negative state of affairs, but, also, when they have an added projection into the future of an inevitable doom, expressed as an unassailable conviction, I'm deeply troubled. Because this is so easily seized upon, so easily adopted as a general conviction, and thereby, bring the very reality we don't want into being. It's especially bothersome if the dire conviction and prognosis is presented absent of positive solution. I feel it's unethical to present such convictions as conclusive without presenting the remedies, or possible remedies, other than warnings of inevitability.
It's an irresponsibility and a lack of Awareness as to how matters work. Warnings of don't-do and stop-doing have little effect without providing a positive replacement of what actually TO do, what can be done. Especially egregious is the omission of what IS being done. My concern is the *Ethical* Responsibility we have to a positive future. By all means point out every single bit of problem, but do so in the service of Positive Resolution and Remedy, and include those to provide the full Perspective. Supply the opportunities to partake in Remedy, and the suggestions and especially the convictions that there IS Remedy, and there CAN be Remedy and Solution.
Without this contribution to the World's convictions we simply advance, foster, and are complicit in implementing negative change through providing negative convictions only. No! And no again!! As Ethical Warriors of Impeccability and Responsibility, we cannot only contribute negative conviction, such dereliction is a gross disservice to the World and ourselves.
No, I refuse to be complicit in not objecting to such expressions of conviction. As accurate as they may be within their limited context, they are *not* a representation of the entire situation, and thus contribute to a distorted perception of reality. If the expressions of such sentiments are as a convincing conviction then we have a problem, potentially the massive problem of changing the general description of the World.
I feel any who express their convictions in public have this Responsibility to be mindful of how they might impact and change overall convictions, and thus change the general description, thereby changing the World and the reality we share.

The Unnatural Natural Black-Hole Personality
Audio-pics vid with subtitles/CC:
https://youtu.be/cYk5_D-ubOo
Podcast: https://is.gd/iQ9PXe
I will not, I refuse, I will not be sucked into annihilation by people who are black-holes. We can try to assist, and we do not even have to try repeatedly, or insistently, but sometimes we do. Over and over and over, we try and try and try, to no avail. Do we have to be destroyed first before we recognise this obvious reality? At what point do we acknowledge the futile?
At the point past conscience, that's where. When our conscience is beyond satisfied and we've gone long past largess-of-spirit, we can be assured we know it's good and right to leave that black-hole well and good alone, and not ever be tempted to fly near it again. We know because our conscience is already overly appeased and pre-justified.
We have to remember, constantly, black-holes are unforgiving and unrelenting. They're a one-way reality unto themselves. We have to know there's no way to actually "save" such one-sidedness. Love is light, and here, the more added the more absorbed. It's impossible to give to an unremitting taker as anything other than a one-way pointless joylessness. Especially knowing any giving to a black-hole only adds to its negative force. Our positivity is converted to ill-ends. The only sensible course of action is absolute and total avoidance, staying outside their influence sphere completely and utterly and leaving black-holes to their inevitability. If not fed they implode and self-destruct. We absolutely cannot be complicit in that feeding.
It's their way, to steal and destroy our goodness with unrelenting insistence. What they've chosen, and persist in choosing. Their grabbing and grabbing, a joy-desperation for the ego-dominance-feeders. That relentless taking their purpose. It's how they've set themselves to be, according to their fear-necessity. Thing is, becoming a black-hole, and being with one, is a one-way endeavour. We have to choose if we're going to be fodder or not. Our only decision, we have none other. We don't have the choice to save or not to save, help or not, saving and helping are NOT options, there's only non-involvement. One cannot help a black-hole by giving, just makes it worse.
Any gift-of-goodness to a black-hole simply adds to its mass and momentum and it's belief in its own validity. So we have to make peace with the Understanding of black-holes, and Understand they're a part of nature. We have to know this and respect it as such. But!! That respect means we can't treat a black-hole as something it's not! Doing so is a massive disrespect to ourselves and the sanctity of the universal order of things. Going against that Sensibility brings nothing but suffering!
Respecting ourselves, the World, Nature, and the Universe means to stay way way clear of black-holes and leave them tf alone.

The Young Young Man's Story - Ch 8 The Corner of Heaven Part 1
Podcast: https://anchor.fm/nobelia/episodes/The-Young-Young-Mans-Story---Ch-8-The-Corner-of-Heaven-Part-1-e2nrmp
Continued from Ch 7 Part 3: https://sylsabastian.blogspot.com/2018/12/the-young-young-mans-story-ch-7.html
5/11, 8:42am
L: - “So good morning! And, where are we?”
The Young Man: - Before I get into the Soap Opera part of the YYM's life, I figured a bit of context is Appropriate. A rewind to the early stages of the Social or Public-Self, the Outside-Persona. I can't tell the Soap Opera before filling in the lead-up. It's essential for a fuller understanding of the YYM, which is vitally necessary for the Drama parts to come.
I mentioned the first town I lived in was small with the one school in a remote part of the country. The house we lived in was on a large lot with trees in front and back and a few other unique features. Like behind the house to the left an old broken windmill with a large junk pile underneath, next to an empty water tank on an unused cooler room.
Across from it, more or less in the middle of the large back area a mulberry tree, a most strategic asset because of the silk worming hobby for many kids. One of only two in the town.
Behind and to the right of the mulberry tree an old swimming pool with raised earth sides which had long since become a pond. Complete with frogs. Around the far side of the pond were three large awesome willow trees. And at the very back of the property a large dead reed-patch with marvellous small narrow pathways through it.
On the side of the pond opposite to the willows was a vegetable garden. And on that side of the property an open lot. On the willow side also a dirt street, rarely used by anyone. On the other side of the street the run-off gully from the town reservoir, an earthen dam in the middle of town. The gully was flanked by earth mounds on either side by way of raised banks.
Behind the reed-patch a main road leading to places far away. A tarred road. Beyond that open country, semi-desert bush-veld.
On the side of the house with the open lot, a narrow lane. Where, for a time, my father despite being the town doctor, incongruously kept a goat supposedly for its milk, which he had grown up on, but much to the botheration of my mother who saw it as “beneath” them. I do remember when the goat was slaughtered, after not too long in the lane, by a sort-of gardener. I never saw him do any gardening, and not sure what he did really, but he soon after wasn't around anymore either. He did however show me how to eat prickly pears from the tree near the goat lane.
Watching him skin the goat, I noticed his expertise, and noticed I noticed, despite never having seen the procedure before. Always stayed with me, the artistry of his strokes as he separated the skin without damaging the lining underneath. Which I also understood without being told, would make a mess if torn or ruptured and the whole effort would become much more difficult. How we know such knowings, just know, fascinates me. Just as how so much is taken as a matter of course, if those doing have this attitude. Never would that man ever have imagined slaughtering a goat was anything other than commonplace and that's the communication he automatically conveyed.
On the other side of the house, more or less in the middle of a sort of side yard across from a smallish stoop, another large tree, not sure what kind. An extensive creeper entangled its lower branches spreading from a metal garden arch it covered and connecting tree to house. A convenient if somewhat hazardous access my brother and I used for climbing onto the roof.
I'm starting a whole new story now. :) <3
L: - “Yay! Tangentials.”
The Young Man: - Yeah lol. I have to have some purpose to write. Which here is to describe a starting point for the social-self. There's some relevance to it as you'll see in a minute.
L: - "'Another Day. Just Breathe'... love those lyrics... on right now. :D By Telepopmusik
Oh I get that... the U is guiding you... after all, you're writing about 'context' lol.”
The Young Man: - Yeah. :) :) I think of it not as writing, but as telling you the story. To me this is like you said, laying out some context for the coming soap opera. The larger context. It's relevant, otherwise I think that story will lose a lot as its much connected to the society we lived in.
L: - “Yes... background props. :D ”
The Young Man: - But only because there's connection. That's most absolutely the way of it for me. Has to be relevance. The yard I'm describing is significant. I”m thinking maybe I should mention that beforehand. :)
L: - “Got it.... I realize, by now, that you're not into trivia. Lol
teeheee.
Unless it's related and then it's NOT trivial.
Bouncie dots! Yay!”
[...]
The Young Man: - In front three large poplar trees provided another climbing alternative with the additional benefit of neighbourhood surveillance. A"rockery" garden and a small lawn with a driveway on the open lot side presented a “respectable” frontage. The street out front also dirt and another open lot across the way.
The two nearest neighbours my first-grade teacher, well, everyone's, an older woman who lived alone, and across the street a widow with an older simple boy who was mentally still somewhat similar to a first grader or even pre-schooler. Further up the street two families with children. One we interacted with because they were close in age to my elder brother and sister.
Across the gully another family of three girls and two small boys younger than me. The girls were friends with my sisters.
The school on the other side of town making for a fairly long walk every day.
My memories from this part of my life are relatively sparse. There just wasn't that much that went on. But there was significance. I loved that yard. A marvellous magical place where I spent most of my time.
Haha yeah and cool, love them Dancing Dots. :D :D <3
L: - “I just want to say... I'm so H a p p y :) <3 ”
The Young Man: - Yay yay yay L . :) <3 :) It's so amazing how for some reason most people regard being happy as an unusual state. When of course it's the normal and usual. Yes?
L: - “Keep writing !!!!
Didn't mean to distract you.”
The Young Man: - Nah, you are never ever a distraction. Always a stimulus. <3 <3 <3.
L: - “But that's ALL I needed to say! Keep writing!!!!!
Let's get lots of YYM out today! :D”
The Young Man: - I've hardly any memories of the inside of the house and could not describe it easily. I'd have to construct it more or less from exterior memories. There's good reason. Being inside meant hassle. It meant being in range of my mother. And always for her there was something or other to fuss about. Being near her was pointless. No fun or joy or anything like that. She was just a nuisance and a bother mostly with absolutely no reason to be anywhere near her.
I didn't hate my mother, but I didn't love her either. There just wasn't anything to love. Besides, at that time, kids did kid's stuff and adults did whatever they did. A clear and definite divide. The only time kids and adults interacted was to be given chores or when they were in trouble.
Rather an amazing setup. But suited me just fine. I was left to my own devices on a scale which is somewhat incomprehensible today. When outside I was completely unsupervised, even from pre-school years. I could go anywhere in the town, and did. So amazing. Excellent from a child's point of view. I had freedom, as long as I was outside.
L: - “...”
The Young Man: - What amazed me about my mother was the logical disconnect. Lol, I had logic right out of the box somehow. When I was outside she never came out to see what I was doing, or my brother, who was the only other one to spend time outside. We did do some things together, but mostly I was on my own.
However, as soon as we went inside there was always some little things she had us do. Nonsense stuff. She just could not leave us alone when we were inside. Strange to me and made no sense. It wasn't as if there was some backlog of things which needed doing which built up the more we were outside. I can't even remember what kinds of things. Also, her underlying mood and feel as a person, wasn't nice.
All I knew was inside wasn't fun, and outside was freedom. That's how I felt about outside, as freedom. I loved it also. There was fun and excitement and adventure. But first and foremost is was freedom, escape.
I spent much time in the trees. Climbing all of them to the very highest I could. Just spending time in them. But what I especially loved were what I called Remote Places. Not necessarily remote in location, just places where the connection to the social world is not present. Private spaces maybe. But it's more than that, an energy thing. The *feel* of those spaces and places.
Forgotten spots possessing a very specific feeling of peace and joy, a contained excitement combined with contentment, freedom, and Power. Places with an element of the sacred. A particular feeling of non-religious Reverence and Grace. But I didn't connect to those elements individually, but to an overall magic hard to describe other than they were special to be in and I sought them out as much as I could, spending most of my time in such spots. Alternating as the energy faded. Coming back to one I had not been in for a while and discovering its delights all over again as if anew.
L: - “Love trees!!!! <3
Yes...the perspective... and, it may change you yet again, I suspect... very powerful, this writing of the story and looking back at Then, with Now eyes. :) ”
The Young Man: - Yeah. What's interesting about the perspective on the Remote Places, those magical spots, the power's still there. Never changed for me. I continue to feel them the same way. I guess Magic is Magic. One can't go any more past Magic. Which brings me to one such especially special space. :)
[I'll add in here the introduction I wrote for this part of the Young Boy's Story for a post I made of this particular episode after I told it to L, as it's different, and written differently.]
“I'd like to Share a Personal Story from when I was about five or six to illustrate a number of points which I believe to be most important. First, the story below is a true story, written via the immersion of the Me-of-Now into the Me-of-Then and the Experience-of-Then. This is the first key Understanding.
At the time, the experience was fundamentally transformative. A big deal then in terms of accomplishment, in the many ways illustrated in the story. However, my Me-of-Then, while knowing the big-dealness of the points articulated in this telling, came by them differently. I knew then for instance that backing down from a logical challenge, one well within my capabilities, one only governed by fear, was something I would not easily deal with or "live down" within myself. Giving in, in this way, even once, I felt would be enough to affect me. I knew this then, but, would not have been able to explain it as clearly as I can now. The big deal is bringing the fullness of that Understanding-of-Then into the Awareness-of-Now. It's an of owning it, and an Owning of Ourselves. Most powerful.
Further, when recounting a Memorable-Event such as this, when we go totally into the immersion of remembering for the purpose of the retelling, much More is accessed than via the usual remembering. We tend to remember the whole when we casually remember, not the step by step moment to moment experiences as they unfolded. But, in each moment there is much, much power and Awareness-of-Self, if we choose to access in this detailed immersive way via a re-telling.
Our Self-of-Now can add significantly to the re-experiencing. At the time I indeed felt a strong pull from that Sanctuary and also the powerful pull of vertigo from the height and from Earth. I did not then fully realise how much I had already conceptualised them as Abstracts. Especially with Earth, or The Land as I would think of it then. I had a deeper love for The Land than I realised consciously back then. But it was certainly there, the feeling. This terminology only came into full usage for the Me-of-Now via the re-counting.
I used to feel that feeling of vertigo in my stomach whenever I thought of the those moments at the top, throughout the years I have remembered this life-event. But, the detailed and intense re-telling of it all, in this way, has removed those feelings and others. This Memorable-Event no longer pressures me to remember it. I have extracted the Lessons and Awarenesses I needed to. A most powerful point and value which comes from a detailed articulation of these kinds of experiences.
At the time though I did not think in Abstract Concepts as much as I do now. A mode of thinking and conceiving which adds tremendously to my experiencing of Life. Blending that mode of conception into the re-telling made the recounting and re-living a much more potent experience for me. A combining of the Me-of-Then into the Me-of-Now, and perhaps the reverse also. A most powerful benefit of this simple but complex undertaking. A Life-Doing I highly highly recommend when it comes to Memorable-Events or Significant-Experiences, those which stay with us and don't leave, coming back to us time and time again, until we unlock their magic fully through thorough re-telling via a full Immersion.
There's a kind of peace which is hard to describe that's the end result. A freeing of energy, an easing of subtle pressure. Most excellent, besides all the advantages of gained Perspective, Understanding and Awareness. We think we know and remember those experiences, but, until we go back into them, we don't really, we just believe we do.
Knowing their power, the hearing of these kinds of stories from others is for me a Joy indeed. <3 ”
When I think back to my time in that small country town, the connection to those special spots is the only significance which stands out to me. It's interesting I don't consider it a connection to nature specifically. Yes many of those places are in nature, but they can be anywhere.
One such place in particular a most curious spot...

Podcast: https://is.gd/wq2eTd
“The Life-Detective is all about Doing.”
Life-Detective Key Points: (or Warrior, New Noble, Jedi etc.)
Humble, unobtrusive, yet authorative, confident.
Involved with their own doings.
Outside the system.
Not concerned with image.
Often underestimated.
Shows teeth and asserts themself when needed, in no uncertain terms.
Pays exquisite attention.
Never assumes.
Checks and tests assumptions.
Asks questions.
Not afraid to be ignorant.
Doesn't let go of an anomaly, no matter how small.
Subtle without being obvious.
Adds trivialities and insignificances together to look for pattern and significance.
Pays close attention to Implications.
No pretensions about themselves.
Honest with themself and about themselves.
Doesn't give others regardless of status any unnecessary due.
Understands that character has nothing whatsoever to do with status and success.
(Everyone can be anything underneath.)
Always courteous and polite.
Doesn't flinch at moment of truth.
Watches intent and demeanour.
Is finely aware of balance.
Keeps very slight imbalance in others.
Runs through scenarios in boring excruciating detail to verify.
Takes whatever time and effort is necessary, neither are a consideration, only impeccability.
Understands the leverage of self-importance.
Sets tone and mood.
Inordinate patience, allows natural pace and rhythm.
Understands the psychology of others from their point of view, like assumption of similarity etc.
Allows others to exercise their agendas.
Responds mainly.
Never makes points of ego or demonstration of self-abilities.
Keeps power to self.
Always initiates and dictates interaction even though they don't do or say much, sets theme.
Communicates on the underlying grid where there's no bs.
Trusts their own ability to put together the conclusions well before the facts present themselves.
Is able to accept a perspective regardless of how odd it may seem or how little there may be to support it, yet.
Believes in their intuition.
Believes in signs, anomalies, outside intervention/assistance etc.
Willing to gamble, experiment, take chances, when needed.
Whatever it takes.
The more interaction the more the actions and activities have to be extended, the easier it is to see pattern of improbability.
Uses Force of Circumstance.
And makes their own Circumstances to Force reaction.
Practices and is adept at connecting to More from little via implication.
Implication is attended to with exquisite care.
Looks beyond the frame.
I like to have a Conception of Being within which I can wrap Philosophical Strategies. In this case, the entire Trust mechanism, which is connected to Intent, which is connected to travelling on the Learning Path, which is all about figuring out our lessons. And for that we need to be a Life-Detective.
Most Important: The Life-Detective does not ignore or downplay the tiniest point of significance. The most minute fact which is indisputable in its consequences leads to changing everything. This change is fully respected, fully adapted to, taken fully into cognisance. And most importantly: those indisputable but unwanted or unpleasant facts are not ameliorated or ignored. They aren't downplayed in any way. Everything is shifted to take the indisputable albeit Unpleasant Truth into account. This means setting aside desire or like or wish. It necessitates dissolution of extrapolated anticipation and potential positivity. It's imperative to be able to let go of goals when everything changes.
“Few people act. They refuse to believe what's happening until it's too late.”
This point above is an imperative one for us. We tend to soften the often harsh truths our discernments and insights present to us. We cannot do this as we can function Appropriately and expediently whilst maintaining those truths of accuracy. It may only be one, but that's all it takes. When it's undeniable we cannot write it off. We have to practice this skill. It's only habit. We have the awareness at the time, we simply do not use it immediately. We wish to give the benefit of the doubt knowing full well the precise and indisputable truth. This we can no longer do. We need to live precisely. With exquisite accuracy.
This adjustment will make little difference to external behaviour. It will manifest in not engaging, in not going down what we know to be dead-ends. Manifesting in not wasting time and effort on doomed projects and enabling an immediate responsiveness that's essential to Attunement and Alignment.
“The Life-Detective is all about Resolution. A key element for obtaining Resolution is Trust.”
We have to Trust. Without Trust what do we have on our marvellous Path? When we fully Trust we're truly committed.. When there's nothing else but Trust, that's when belief becomes real, and is made manifest.
If we're engaging in an act of Trust, which is a necessity when traversing the Path of Life and Learning, we also have to be courageous. Trust is an act of Courage, otherwise it's an act of foolishness. We have to go into Trust with full Awareness, knowing there's risk, but knowing there's no alternative other than going back. And for those on the Quest to Freedom, there is no going back.
“The Life-Detective seeks to understand and unravel the mysteries encountered along the Life-Path.”

When we combine discomfort Courage and Trust we come close to Intent. And Intent is the key ingredient as we well know. We have used it many times. But the use has been somewhat haphazard. It can do with refining. We can add resolve, determination., perseverance, and forbearance. Of course Impeccability, and scrupulousness of motive.
“For the Life-Detective any mystery is exciting to solve. Coming-to-Resolution is the thrill and joy.”
Imperative to Intent, is vision, a vision of the most Overall. Awareness of all involved, all the possibilities, positive and negative. Any Intent has to be Attuned and Aligned to that. And if it so happens our Intent is a low probability, we have to know this also. We have to know clearly and unequivocally it's our only option, there's no other and we have been thorough. If there was another option we would have taken it. But since there isn't, we come back to our Intent, and the necessity for our Trust.
Once we have done all this, once we have set our Intent, all that's left is once again Trust. That's what Impeccability then requires. It's the only thing we can do to alleviate doubt. And doubt is of course the stepping stone to fear and stress. It's the gateway to unravelling all the mighty efforts we have put into our Intent. Thus we cannot doubt. Not even for an iota of a micro-second. And if we cannot doubt, all that's left is to Trust. So we Trust with Courage, going into the unknown armed thus, knowing our discomfort is part of our Trust, and knowing that if we're Impeccable in our Trusting, it's the key factor in determining the outcome of our venturing. We in the end have to Trust in Trust. It's all we have when we set an Intent.
“The Life-Detective never gives up, never quits, always proceeds, even if all that they have left to go on is Trust, Trust that things will work out.”
When we Trust like this, we Embrace Life, We Embrace Living. This Trust is the Trust of going forward, the Trust of Action, the Trust of movement, no matter how small. This is how it connects to Intent. To Intend, by it's very definition means to do, do be doing, to be moving, to be going forward. Those who are at a standstill, in their desperation, will cling to the vain hopes of their wishes. It's merely appeasement. It's risk avoidance at it's most futile. It's not even risking the tiniest of chances for the security of nothing. And sadly, the supreme irony is this is done out of fear of looking foolish for pursuing a small chance. When the very definition of foolishness is to give up a something for a nothing. No, this Trust is the Trust of Action.
It's the Trust of Positivity and optimism. For if we act, if we move forward, if we pursue that chance, no matter how slim, do we not have to have at least some optimism and Positivity? How could we move forward if we did not? If we're moving forward into the unknown because we have no choice, it's that or nothing, then it's still a Positive choice. We're choosing the unknown something over the definite nothing. That's Living, for Death is Nothing. Thus to Live is to Trust. To live is to be optimistic and Positive, no matter how small. If we're going to have to do this living thing, then why not embrace the process. Go into it willingly. Make the Most of It. This again is where Trust comes into play. It's a way to maximise our limited resources, to optimise our available options. Why to me, we Have-to-Trust.
“The Life-Detective is always Positive. Always.”
Then there's the Trust of Embracing our Responsibility. The Responsibility we have assumed for remaining alive. This we have chosen, knowing full well everything this choice entails. How can we not Trust this choice? If we do not, then the other option is Death. Once we choose Life, we surely have to Trust and take full Responsibility for that choosing. When we do, we once again embrace Life, embrace Living. We're Trusting our choices, we're Trusting that whatever circumstance we're in, no matter what, there's always something we can do. No matter how much matters are out of our hands, we can always Trust our Intent. We can Trust somehow it'll all work out for the best. The key to this Trust is realising Intent is always connected to the long-term Overall. And it's to this we connect our Trust.
Trust is thus enabling. But we have to have that resolve to Trust. Which is a resolve to Live, a resolve to progress, to move forward. A resolve to DO, something, anything. It's a resolve to never give up, to never just sit and wait for life to do what it wills to us. That's not an option.
This is the magic of Trust. Even when it seems life has locked us into an un-moveable position, this Trust is doing, an active action, an action of Intent. We are making something happen with this Trust alone, for this Trust is ultimately an Intent. Thus we will create via our Trust a resolution, an opening, something, which will allow us to move away from whatever life brings our way that's unwanted. This is the difference between this Trust and hope. One is an action and the other is a wish. One is determination, the other is acceptance. This Trust is a taking charge of our lives. Of deciding no matter what, we will find a way, even if that way is nothing but our Trust. And that's the thing with this Trust, why it's a Trust of Doing, of action, as we cannot know how or if it works until it's used. And for that we have to Apply this Trust, not just think it, but do it and most importantly, we have to feel this Trusting.
We have to Trust in Trust. But once we do, and do so repeatedly, we of course come to see its Validity, its magic. And when we do, we learn the confidence of Trusting. We know, if we have exhausted all our higher probability options, we always have one option left in the self, the Option of Trust. Repeated use will never alleviate the discomfort and necessity of Courage, an indispensable element, but repeated use will certainly alleviate that discomfort substantially. Since if we have to use Trust again, it means it's worked previously. We must never forget this. It's how we come to fully Trust our Trust. Through never giving up. Through always trying. Always trying even when all we have left to try is Trust.

The Young Young Man's Story - Ch 7 The Practice of Patience Part 3
Podcast: https://anchor.fm/nobelia/episodes/The-Young-Young-Mans-Story---Ch-7-The-Practice-of-Patience-Part-3-e2lhtf
Continued from Ch 7 Part 2: https://sylsabastian.blogspot.com/2018/11/the-young-young-mans-story-ch-7_27.html
The Young Man: - Some parts are missing to the Patience story, because I also studied *Impatience,* a most odd behaviour to me. I saw it in myself, where also it made no sense whatsoever. This observation was the root start of it. Why I needed a defnition, because in observing impatience in myself, I thought: "But just be Patient."
This of course did nothing and made no difference.
L: - “Ah... you didn't know how.”
The Young Man: - I realised for a concept to make a difference it had to be usable, and to be usable it had to be able to break down into actionable steps or parts.
So, Patience was obviously a form of waiting. But they weren't the same either. To be Patient was to wait in a specific way.
Ha, back then it was, “To wait without hasseling.” My exact language of the time. Cool, I like when I remember the original wording. Perhaps that's why I say cool a lot. Cool was very cool when cool was really cool. :)
Lol, I was a very early adopter and also originator of slang. But that's a whole other recounting. This is the story of the individual side of the Young Young Man. His public and social side is an entirely different tale.

The Power of Deliberate Personal Myth
Podcast:https://is.gd/QiQa7G
Audio-pics vid with subtitles/CC:
https://youtu.be/3H7aub77-mM
The following is a multi-layered post and story, one of its purposes is to create a premise whereby I can get to be on the Enterprise of Star Trek. (Picard edition.) Thus the Myth part. I'm creating a scenario where that's hypothetically plausible and in the process illustrating the Abstract Concept of deliberately creating Personal Myths where we extend how we are. (Some suspension-of-belief of course required, it's a myth after all.) :)
The roles envisioned are thus created to explain and justify the presence of myself and friends I want to bring along. If we are just our regular selves they won't take us. So we need this cover story. It overlaps into the purpose and point of the whole thing, the zoom-out or Overview Perspective. Which is about creating a scenario for oneself, a Personal Myth, that's plausible enough to enable being in these very alternate situations where we can also plausibly BE in very different ways to our usual selves. The aim is to create circumstances where our imaginations stretch who we are, where we behave beyond the usual and test new Ways-of-Being. This imagined-plausible-realism is a technique to leverage the mind's ability to fit us appropriately to the context and to stimulate us appropriately within that imagined reality. Personal Myths are a fantastic tool when used thus.
(From a conversation with my friend M.)
Syl: ...So I made this up for myself:
While playing Star Trek Online - in which I'm an Admiral, I make a Player Mission (or "quest," and it's actually part of the real game.) Well, the mission I make is about an Admiral who gets stranded in time and has to create a message which will be picked up in the future, so they can rescue him. - He sends a message saying he's from the far far future - but needs to be in the Star Trek Enterprise Picard era for his actual mission. But there's a snafu and he overshot on the time period, the reason he now needs help from Enterprise, as only they are sufficiently cleared for the levels of security needed to perform such a sensitive mission, besides being integral to his mission objective.
But, (and this is my where myth part really begins) in-game this fictional mission gets accidentally screwed up by a real-life internet snafu and gets put out onto the web as an independent real story - not as part of the game. No-one notices of course and if they do just assume it's a cock-up of some sort or a troll. But the way the internet screw-up comes about results in it being portrayed as a factual story.
That's when the Enterprise picks up this as an anomaly in the time-stream - as a consequence of them needing to fiddle with some temporal problem. They naturally have to investigate.
M: Because it gets hacked into SETI's Twitter account!
Syl: Haha, yes, a few such improbabilities and more.
...I get a knock on my door and it's the Away Team come to rescue me.
They're looking for Admiral Syldinada, which is what I am in-game, and thus also in the real-appearing internet entry.
Being the opportunist I am, I go along, not entirely sure if it's maybe an elaborate prank or publicity stunt, but since it's such an Anomaly I have to take it as something from the Universe.
Well, much to my delight I'm transported up to the Enterprise!
Ha, but a problem presents itself - if I explain what's actually happened, I might be returned to my "rightful" place and no way I'm going to let that happen! So I go with my new role, as Admiral. I have no other choice, it's destiny!
But, big but - I now have to justify my lack of procedural knowledge. I explain my rank is tied to my position, or on-board occupation of Ship's Philosopher, like that of the ship's counsellor and doctor. I'm a Ship's Philosopher in the course of my usual duties when assigned to a ship. The Ship's Philosophers have to have superior rank to the captain in order to overrule when it comes to matters such as temporal, moral and ethical issues and also the Prime Directive, which is an ethical mess, or, I explain to them, "The Crime Directive" as it's come to be known in the future.
Much like the doctor and counsellor can overrule the captain on medical and psychological issues, so too can the Ship's Philosopher. However, since Philosophy, and in particular the Practical Philosophy of the future Starfleet and Federation pretty much applies to everything, I have to have the very real rank of Admiral. Also, Ship's Philosophers undergo a very very special training. They are *deliberately* not trained in the typical formalities pertaining to rank and command, so as to leave them outside those matters and minimise potential interference. The Ship's Philosophers are thus by design set up to come from outside the "system."
This is all necessary to justify my ignorance of matters Starfleet, but is also actually sound in the future-created Practical Philosophy I am to bring to the ship. The entire endeavour has to be thoroughly Sensible to the Enterprise crew, and also explain me and what would otherwise be peculiar holes in my knowledge. My initial explanation is thus to set up the captain and senior officers to explain to the crew they need to make allowance for me and my Team, and that we will be behaving anomalously by design, it's part of our office and duties.
However, I warn the Captain, my rank is very real and there could likely be situations where I will be in de-facto command, much like when a regular admiral has temporarily assumed command. But, I assure the Captain, this would only be done with the Captain's full cooperation. I'd be a very poor Ship's Philosopher, or as we are known in some other fleets, Ship's Elucidator, if I were not able to fully explain to him such necessity and have him then supportive. (This all is of course to give me the excuse to satisfy my personal curiosities and personal philosophical missions according to Attunement, if it's not too conflicting.)
To illustrate, the Prime Directive, I explain, has resulted in massive criminal exploitation of un-advanced worlds. The Ferengi especially, and those not in the Federation, massively abuse these worlds knowing Starfleet would not intervene because of the precious Prime Directive, and as they also come to call it, the Crime Directive.
The mission of the Explorer class has changed, I instruct - it's First Contact at all costs! The Grand Mission is to prepare worlds for alien incursion, which the Federation and Starfleet have hitherto been somewhat powerless to stop, until such worlds are capable of joining the Federation. But, while we do not interfere in evolutionary development, no such scruples inhibit other space-farers, thus, we are ethically compelled to prevent certain disaster from the unethical and criminal, for whom such worlds are known as "plunder puddings."
A huge problem and one which shortsighted policies and inappropriate idealism has facilitated. Sensibility came to predominate when all the instances of Captains contravening the PD came under a massive review and it had to be acknowledged the Captains were justified. Thus, the directive itself needed changing, not the Captains. A key point of communication which cements my validity, and is music to the Captain's ethical perspective.
I explain we're now free to do much which we could not do before. A new era for Starfleet and the Federation. However, and this is why the Philosopher Corps was created, along with their sub-specialisations, Ethics, supreme Impeccable Ethics, now has to be a matter of not only ship's pride, but of unquestionable Application and thorough deep fundamental Understanding by *ALL* members of the crew. Because, when in contact with new cultures, one communicates much simply through one's being. Implication-Behaviour is one of the Philosophy Corps' specialities and a matter to which the crew will become fully acquainted. There's much much to do I inform the senior officers, but, my Team and I will be implementing these slowly, organically, no formal classes or lectures, but simply by virtue of our presence, organic circumstantial Sharing as Pertinent and relevant, to ensure maximum retention, and especially authority, which they are now tasked to make clear to the crew we have.
This leverage has multiple benefits, not least being it's pressure on me to Apply my own Sensibility and be Impeccable in my own Application. I may have come on board on technically a non-Starfleet reason, but, everything else I aim to make legitimate, in the process actually creating the future Philosophy Corps and the changes in Starfleet and the Federation. A complex Philosophical position, but, well, that's my speciality. Within the future PC, as we come to be known, the fine Ethics of my manoeuvre are a powerful and ongoing debate among those new to the Corps. (It's ofc ultimately Ethically justified in what we call Capital E Ethics, but, to come to that Understanding is a complicated and involved process, one of the unknown tests for new trainees.)
Haha, as Ship's Philosopher I get to put into action and apply all the ideas and concepts which have come to me while watching the shows. Lol, and of course on a personal level, I now have a whole community who comes to see the value of it all and engages in the sharing and extending and applying of my Philosophies and through this, all those concepts, perspectives, and systems of thought get extended, refined, and added to. A massive boon and joy to me.
M: Damn Ferengi are like space rats.
Syl: Haha lol - bad, but yes.
The lack of Philosophy as part of the ships' regimen is also addressed - starting with those beloved anomalies and how there's more to them, much much More. How they are Capital A Anomalies. I Share and make the senior crew Aware of how Anomalies are part of the new major Philosophical System of *Attunement,* and how Starfleet is to shift to this Philosophy if they are to prosper and survive, as the Universe is a big place, and so far we've been lucky not to run into something we can't handle, but it's out there, and the only way we'll survive is via Attunement. One of the reasons my Team and I are on the Enterprise specifically, is to prove the validity and potency of this major shift, and thereby, since it's the fleet's flagship and de-facto representative of the Federation, ensure this new Philosophy spreads and is implemented. We're to be the test case.
Also, I explain, Philosophy is pertinent and relevant to *ALL* departments on the ship. I direct my comment at the dubious body-set of the Chief Engineer. I explain, they actually already have a philosophy in place, like, not-assuming. One has to physically check when troubleshooting for instance. The Philosophy of Perspective-Shifting and particularly the extended aspect of that mindset, Multiple-Perspective-Acquisition is likewise a profound part of good engineering. The chief engineer is suitably impressed and pleased, as naturally this is an implied part of his leadership and his department. I point out how such natural philosophies are common, but unfortunately not expressed, and therefore their full value is typically wasted.
It's the mission of the PC to bring such Understandings and usefulness to Awareness and thus ensure they're more regularly and consciously applied, leading of course to massive increases in not only productivity, but effectiveness and efficiency. In addition, we've come to see, when crew are consciously deliberate in such ways, their purposefulness is dramatically enhanced and with that their Joy-of-Service is compounded. Leading to not only a more effective crew, but a happier one.
As a demonstration of my capabilities, and how the PC are absolutely *NOT* theoretical and "stuffy," but very real and have many skills, particularly in the communication and observation fields, I nod to an officer, and say, "As a history fan...(I've noticed them smile every time I use the abbreviation PC) you've no doubt noticed the somewhat ironic use of PC. It's a deliberate adoption. This makes them all take note. Not only did PC stand for political correctness, which we absolutely are not, but in some sense also are, PC also stood for police constable, and in it's earlier usage, authority. Again, subtle reminders of our role, and it's Ethical complexity, the aim to keep us humble and modest.
One of our chief tenets, I say, is, a compounded irony, to interfere as minimally as possible. PC Philosophy and dictums guide us to *Share* as much as feasible, despite having the authority to enforce. But, we'd be failing in our occupation if we'd have to do so, because, the true measure of our value and usefulness lies in the *self-evident* nature of what we Share and communicate. If it's not self-evidently Sensible, then it has no place in our Philosophical Arsenal.
Lol M, and the rest, if I were to extend it all into a new ST series, is exploring first contact and how to prepare and overcome prejudice, and overcome cultural beliefs and superstitions. All taking the Philosophical implications and extensions past the limited and un-appliable points of the old Star Trek series. There are many many holes and flaws. Not to mention un-thought of points not raised but that inevitably would be. One of my particular missions for instance, from the future, is to set the Vulcans straight about logic and emotions. :P
Also with the sub-theme of applying to today's problems. The parallels are immense.
M: Very cool.
Syl: Lol yeah - and, most critically! I bring some friends along. My "Team."
Ship's Angel is one.
Ship's Noob (Nerd) is another.
Ship's Connector.
Ship's ..... Open for more. :)
M: I was just fantasizing about the Enterprise encountering a world civilization that did not believe in anomalies, since they had everything accounted for
and the story would be finding the single anomaly that would bring it all down.
Syl: Their jobs are to simply spread joy wherever they are, and to learn, explore and ask questions - questions which require and force the explanation and justification of the various ship's occupations and functions. They're a foil for acceptance through habit and stimulate fresh Perspectives. Which, as Ship's Philosopher, I'm big on making sure are part of every crew-member's thinking. This my Team do through coming at things as if they have never encountered them before. (Have to make it all fit and plausible.) Since we are from their future we have to be this way so as not to inadvertently give away things about the future and cause temporal disruptions.
We are incredibly scrupulous in this and impeccable of course in its Application. Ethics being a fundamental and primary part of what we bring to the ships as part of the Philosophy Directive. Still in the future for Starfleet and the Federation as a whole, but, because of the massive Anomaly which has caused us to be on-board, and via sophisticated Attunement, I'm able to Share ahead of time with Enterprise, because, well, they are special, and in the future, it's the Enterprise which is instrumental in causing the Philosophy Directive to be adopted by all. I see now how that oddity, from my future perspective, comes to make sense. It all fits. Everything is thus as its supposed to be.
As a side note, I explain it wasn't our original mission exactly, but close enough. Seems the Universe has taken a hand, with stranding us for so long in the past, which has resulted in us needing to assimilate much of the outward cultural behaviour of the period, but which has had the positive benefit of removing us from behaviours which might inadvertently cue the future, despite our training. In fact, if I'm ever to return to the future, which if my reading of Attunement is accurate, will not happen, I will recommend all active assigned PC personnel first spend time in a technologically sophisticated but pre-interstellar time period. An excellent mechanism to not only ensure their Ethics and Philosophy are sound enough to withstand the rigours of such periods, but also for that disassociation from the future so necessary for our work as we have to retroactively go back and remedy all the horrors which have resulted from the Crime Directive.
The massive massive temporal and Ethical mess which we have to fix would otherwise lead to the eventual collapse of the Federation taking Starfleet with it if we don't rectify matters. Inappropriate morality, I explain, no matter how well-intentioned, inevitably leads to disaster. And, I laugh, all this and our presence on the Enterprise as well as the future Philosophy Corps, all come to be possible through a HUGE temporal Anomaly, one I'm not at liberty to fully discuss, and it seems, its eddies resulted in the inadvertent stranding of me and my Team, but, which all Aligns with the clear Intent and opportunity of this phenomenal and Universe-changing Anomaly. Otherwise there's no way we could so directly change the past, on such a large scale..
And through all this the Team bring improvement and also appreciation.

Lol, nice re your Anomaly idea.
And that Anomaly is me - I don't belong - but the quandary is: Do I let that world go to hell, or keep my position on the Enterprise.
Ofc - bye bye snooty arrogant world.
Haha, in the Personal Myth concept it's important to also behave in completely contrary ways to usual.
M: COOL.
Syl: So now I have to create a new position - for a late arrival on board.
Haha - new arrival is Harold T - Ship's Doubter.
Or....Open to suggestions if you fancy some other role.
And ...
M: Lol. Just not Mrs. Doubtfire.
Syl: Haha no - the role of the Ship's Doubter is to take a contrary position and force crew members to explain and justify. The Ship's Doubter deliberately appears ignorant of the technical aspects for one from the future - but like the Ship's Philosopher, Angel and the Noob, they are so by design - to force Perspective. The Ship's Doubter forces a critical re-examination coming from the standpoint of the assumption that what is good and fine, is false. He is the tester of convenient assumption.
With the Ship's Noob - it's sharing the joy of their occupations and positions, responding to the enthusiasm of new discovery via fresh eyes. As the Ship's Noob is not really a noob, but a nerd really, super interested in all the tech stuff and how it all works and so on. But has to appear to be a noob in order to get the crew to explain from the ground up, forcing them to re-think and re-examine basic premises and paradigms which may have been valid way back when the technology originated, but are no longer so. Thus the Ship's Noob performs an extremely valuable function. And of course that nerd side we all have is thoroughly fulfilled through this. And it's in keeping with The Philosopher's Team maintaining Temporal Sanctity. That's become the official term via the future Philosopher's Department at Starfleet.
The Ship's Angel, because she's (or he's) such a gloriously wonderful person is simply to be and do whatever strikes her fancy. Her mere presence is uplifting. But also has a greater effect. The Ship's Angel shows Way's-of-Being more specifically. For the Ship's Angel changes how she is, often, always with Joy and Goodness as the underpinnings. But the Ship's Angel gets involved in the recreational activities of the crew. Her enthusiasm and innocent Joy infusing all. Her openness leads them to also treat her as a confidant and they can share with her what they cannot always share to the Ship's Counsellor, such as more speculative spiritual matters.
She's open and receptive and enjoys the intimacy and in-confidence sharings of the crew. With the Counsellor it's on record. With the Ship's Angel they can share anything as she's open and supportive of anything at all. A huge relief mechanism for the crew, as there're always matters which need to be released from within which are not really feasible via official channels. Not much of it is serious at all, but even the frivolous can build up to cause stress. Speculation, and also doubt, we explain to the Captain, have come to be understood in the future to be vital parts of a crew's overall Well-Being. Besides, she is so loved that she adds a connecting link to the personnel, and Enterprise as a whole, from the Universe. They see the Ship's Angel as the soul of ship and crew. <3
The Ship's Connector's role is to link everyone, to foster greater connectivity and awareness of what others are doing and are about. To ensure there are no gulfs which develop because of Immersion. The Ship's Connector uses a very old-fashioned method to do this. Photography! They go everywhere and simply take pictures of the crew doing whatever they're doing, both in official capacities and recreationally. But the mechanism they employ for using this to connect the crew is old-fashioned paper noticeboards. These go up in places like the ship's restaurant, bar, in the gyms, outside the holodecks and anywhere the crew might congregate when off duty. The physical nature of the printed pictures change the interactions, making for a different connection, especially once the crew come to treasure these as tangible mementoes. The pictures are of course not just Shared for no reason, but carefully chosen to be meaningful, become a point of pride and Joy, and naturally, connection. And old-fashioned "special" camera is used, still using film, necessitating more deliberate takings of the photos and a darkroom, adding also that nostalgic association, a deliberate part of this sub-speciality in the PC team.
The crew of course want to see the pictures and while at the notice boards they are also coming into contact with others who they might not otherwise be sharing something with. The viewing of the pictures in this way leads to connectivity not just of awareness of what others are doing, but also in a direct way. This is but one connecting method employed. There are others, such as totally random assignments for which no-one is qualified, but the teams have to improvise and make the best of what they have. The aim is to bring a major component of the new Ship's Philosophy to bear; the crucial implementation of Collaboration as a fundamental mindset and ability.
Lol - I had to make roles for friends, you see. And they have to be sustainable roles within the Mythology I created with me as Admiral. They're part of his staff and under his protection. According to confidential briefings by the Admiral to the senior crew he explains his staff have been most rigorously selected for their ability to completely immerse in their respective roles - to the point of not remembering the future. The Admiral is of course constrained to talk about the future for obvious reasons of timeline corruption and to preserve Temporal Sanctity.
The roles are designed to give us, me and my friends, free access to all parts of the ship and justify our presence and also to make us useful in ways they had not thought of. :)
Ha, we need not only a neat cover story right, but also provide real value, so they're happy take us along and keep us on board, yeah? (And not drop us off at the nearest Starbase.)
M: Brilliant.
Syl: Coool. :)
***

The above is not the Deliberate Personal Myth concept itself, just an example of how it could be implemented. The concept of creating and having Personal Myths goes beyond just a story. It's a template.
For instance, for me personally, philosophy and its application is part of my daily life. But it's always personal. To think it's applicable to others is not part of my thinking. It might be, but I can't really ever know that for sure. The idea of presuming is horrendous to me and avoided at all costs. I can Share yes, but that's as far as it goes. However, if I were in a position such as the Ship's Philosopher, where I now had to evaluate and institute a Philosophy on behalf of others, this would be a huge huge shift and change for me. I'd be coming at not only philosophy itself, but my personal philosophies, from a completely different angle and as such an entirely separate ethical field. It'd be a massive shift of personal Responsibility.
When it comes to individual philosophy, I don't feel we can take personal responsibility for the philosophy of another, they have to come by it themselves. But in the case of the Ship's Philosopher in this particular Personal Myth, it's a luxury which is no longer entirely available, as I would have to BE in a particular way pertinent and relevant to the situation. Not to mention the necessity of ensuring the crew have personal philosophies which are Appropriately representative, at least in terms of public expression when dealing with first contact or worlds new to the Federation. It's no longer only Starfleet and Federation doctrine which is at issue, but the representation of their entire Philosophical underpinning. The relevance for me personally is I have to extend myself to be Appropriate within my mythos, a deliberate circumstance designed explicitly for this purpose.
My immersion in my Personal Myth and playing out these scenarios allows me to come to terms with, and find ways of dealing with that which I otherwise would never do since the circumstances aren't present.
The value and purpose of the Deliberate Personal Myth is to enable us to continually re-write and adjust our Story and us in it. To try different storylines. To imagine ourselves in a variety of situations and interactions. It's important to create stories which have Myth-like qualities, which are far removed from our daily lives, so that it's not preposterous to be completely different as it's in keeping and Appropriate within the Personal Myth. We thus practice alternate Ways-of-Being. We test and configure, explore and refine. A massively valuable way of expanding ourselves. And a huge amount of fun to boot.

15 Ask Biella: - "How do you become a happy pessimist?"
Podcast: https://anchor.fm/nobelia/episodes/Ask-Biella---How-do-you-become-a-happy-pessimist--I-just-dont-know-how-to-think-positively-e1hn5s
"How do you become a happy pessimist? I just don't know how to think positively."
Dear Kerry, A few perspectives come to mind, most concerning definitions. Let's look at what we might mean with the various terms, and matters usually become clearer.
Realism
The terms pessimist and optimist are usually associated with happy and unhappy, likewise with positive and negative. However this is not actually accurate. Positivity, and optimism especially are typically associated with an unrealistic skewed perspective on life. A belief that optimists distort reality in some way and fool themselves into thinking life will be better or is better than it is.While there are some people who do this, optimism or positivity is nothing but having an expectation that things will work out better, or good. Since predicting the future is a tricky business, mostly how we choose to believe in the future is a matter of choice.
So let's get real. What will be, can be anything. If we look back, since we can look back, this means we are still here, thus the worst has not happened. We have survived. If, like for some, it has been and maybe still is a rough ride, we can take some solace in the fact that we somehow manage, somehow get through things, somehow survive. We can bolster ourselves with the knowledge that we are survivors.
In a more general view, if we ignore the noise of the present, and zoom out a bit, and look at actual statistics of life on earth, we see that things are measurably and significantly better now than they have ever been. Even within the lifetimes of most. This is the Realistic view.
Turning Pessimism
Our issue is how to convert pessimism. How to Use it, how to extract Value out of it. Despite things generally getting better on average, this does not mean the improvements will apply to us personally, We might be the exception. Or we might not. One constant we can bank on in Life is Change. Even if change does not come to us, we can always institute change ourselves. Always we have that option. Even if changing our circumstances is impossible, changing perspective is always and option.Let's assume an honest and realistic assessment of circumstances, and if the probabilities do not look good, resulting in a pessimistic appraisal, how can we turn this to our advantage?
Let's look at the benefits. For one, we actually have that assessment, which means we are in touch with our lives, our circumstances, ourselves, and where we are in relation to it all. This means we are Aware of what's happening and going on in our lives. This alone, just the Awareness alone is a tremendous Value. Once we are Aware of a problem, we can start to deliberately do something about it.
If we can't, at least we are aware, we can prepare, we won't be taken by surprise. Our realistic appraisal, which happens to not have a particularly good view nevertheless has Value and Usefulness to us. This we can be happy about. Especially if we see that things are the way they are, and there's little to be done about it. Well, we may as well be happy. Why not? Is there anything we can do? No. So, it's not up to us how things work out, thus we may as well be happy.
What do we have to be happy about. We can be happy about knowing what's going on, happy about being Aware and happy about being prepared. Happy that we have identified potential problems, happy about doing whatever we can, and happy that we have done what we can if that applies. We can be happy about the fact that we are Realists, seeing the world accurately.
Here we can make a shift. Pessimism is taking an unjustified negative view of things. If we are realists however, and it just so happens that things are negative or likely to be, well, then, that's just life. All we can do is Make the Best of It All. Understanding that a negative view is not necessarily pessimism, but can be Realism makes all the difference.
Selective EmphasisOne key aspect of all this is to be Aware of Emphasis, focus, and the resulting immersion. All of these creates bubbles of perception. Look what happens to people who lose their temper. They disconnect temporarily from the larger world, and exist inside this small bubble. Same thing happens when we have sex, or watch a movie. The world briefly changes. All depends on our Attention.
What we place our Attention on changes how we perceive the World. There's just too much detail for us to focus on everything, like the internet, So we have to filter all that information and detail. Our Attention, what we focus on, and especially what we Emphasise is such a filter, causing us to be more Aware of, and notice more sharply that which we place our Attention or focus on.
What most people unfortunately do not know, is that when we Emphasise anything, it literally changes the brain. I mean physically changes the brain. When we Emphasise, we enlarge and grow the brain nodes associated with what we are Emphasising. This causes those nodes to connect more to other similar nodes, which leads to us noticing more of the same or similar. This is how our bubbles-of-perception change. It's a powerful knowledge and makes a huge difference to how we can approach life.
Leveraging Perspective
Knowing this now, but still being in the habit maybe of having a pessimistic view, how do we change matters. We start by separating Good and nice. Good is not always nice. They tend to get confused, but are not the same. if you have to choose for your children between what is good for them and what's nice, what do you choose? We have to choose good over nice, always.Applying this to our pessimism, we can make the effort to look at what Good we can extract from whatever situation we are in. Good such as learning. Or maybe the good of having an opportunity to grow, to practice and apply what we have learned, a chance to extend ourselves. Or perhaps the Good of the negative circumstances is that it IS unpleasant, thus forcing us to do something about it, or suffer. The good of negativity is often that it's a good motivator. Getting us off our areses when otherwise we might not be bothered.
In any situation thus there is some Good we can extract. That's the key, we have to make that bit of effort to make that extraction. This is how we apply Positivity. Being Positive is making that effort to find the good. There's always some good somewhere, we just have to look for it.
In all of this shifting of Perspective, the re-focusing, most of it has been to seeing the Good, finding the Good, extracting Good, and thus Emphasising Good. Now we get to the key shift of all of this. We need to connect Goodness to happiness. That's where the difference lies, Goodness IS something to be happy about. Even Goodness that is maybe not particularly nice. We can still be happy about the fact that it is Good. By Emphasising the Good, and associating that Emphasised Good with happiness, we place Emphasis on the happiness we are finding and now creating. Because of the way the brain works, this changes how we perceive things.
Positive PessimismIn this way, by finding the Good in our pessimistic (but realistic) perceptions we get Value and Usefulness, both of which are Positive. Here is where we can leverage our pessimism, by transforming it to realism, and connecting the realism to Goodness, goodness to positivity, we then can connect to happiness. Because we have extracted benefit for ourselves via our pessimism. Or more accurately, our "pessimism." As it has now changed.Through shifting our perspective, through making a different kind of effort, through leveraging what is, how we see it all, how we relate to it, how we use it, we get usefulness out of it all, and that usefulness is Valuable, and this we can be happy about.
Bottom line of it all, our happiness is connected to our beliefs. Simply believing that pessimism means being unhappy usually results in that belief being self-fulfilling. Like almost everything, seldom is something one way or another. As we have seen, pessimism can be positive, if used that way via realism and connecting to Value and Usefulness. Thus pessimism can be used to make us happy. It's useful here to keep in mind that these are words. Words are meanings we give to things, and those meanings are flexible. How we assign meaning is up to us. Same as how we choose to perceive, and it's especially up to us the Perspective we choose.
We can choose to have any Perspective we like on anything at all. It is our Perspective that determines what we get, and thus determines our happiness or not. To become a happy pessimist simply entails redefining what you mean, how you view matters.

"How do you become a happy pessimist? I just don't know how to think positively."
Dear Kerry, A few perspectives come to mind, most concerning definitions. Let's look at what we might mean with the various terms, and matters usually become clearer.

The Young Young Man's Story - Ch 7 The Practice of Patience Part 2

The Young Man: - Patience was one such Ability in particular I made much effort to acquire. Many many abilities and skills were important I felt to instil in myself, but Patience stands out, as does one other, Reading People. We'll get to it later.
I'm trying to remember the Steps-of-Thought which led me to Patience. I recall its power and draw but off-hand not how I came to it. A construction I remember I arrived at by building a logic-train.
I will immerse in my thinking of then which usually enables me to recreate my thoughts and in the process stirs and stimulates my memory. I'm spelling this out here, as I go, because this is a specific technique I've developed which falls under the Psychological tools and techniques I've created.
This technique connects back to the not having to rely on memory position I had taken on as a goal in life. I figured if something was logically constructed in the first place, then there was little need to remember. All one had to know was the end point, in this case Patience. From there the rest should be relatively easy to re-construct and figure out again if need be.
I reasoned also logic was like a story, one thing leading to another, and once one had the start and got into it, the steps triggered themselves and stimulated memory.
So let's see how it goes with figuring out why and how Patience came to be so important. When I looked at what I would need to learn on my Path to Perfection I realised I would need much, way much. I'd already established expanding my Awareness was an imperative. But just being aware wasn't enough. I would still have to deal with whatever I found in the world.
I looked about at what caused people stress. What they worried about, their fears. Matters like crime, beyond basic sensible security, there wasn't much one could do. So to me, in my Obvious-Logic, no point in worrying about it. Such matters were issues of Awareness and through Awareness would be taken care of by way of attending to precautions.
L: -...
The Young Man: - Then there was financial worry. Wasn't much I could immediately do about that as it was a long-term issue and needing studies specifically geared to that end. Not something personally relevant to me right then so I focused on how it affected and impacted others.

Ursula paused Biella with a need-to-know-something face, "Where are we chronologically? I'd like to be sure, as the YM has jumped around a bit."
"Yes," Biella agreed, "It's important. He's at his pre-teen years, ten to twelve, the key period right after the light-bulb exploded."
"I love how that's so literal, and how it immediately led to the figurative," Nora said.
"Although, interestingly enough, the Young Man didn't make the connection until much much later, not overtly." Biella grinned. "Since he was so isolated, well, in the thinking and figuring out regarding his path, his conceptions and Understandings, he never expressed much which was obvious, like the light-bulb exploding. That lack of the reflective and bringing-to-Awareness power of discussion and conversation he missed out on, but, I suspect, it also forced him to keep going. As he never did come to feel satisfied with his overall conception of everything until way later in his life when his Attunement led him to express all of what was inside him. By that time the entirety of his comprehensive Philosophy and Psychology had all nicely congealed into a cohesive cohesion."
Ursula nodded, "Seems like his path had a More to it. I mean a much More More, Since we're repeating repetitions."
“Yes indeed. Also, going forward, the Young Man will be sticking to the linearity a bit more closely. At least according to his conception, which was of periods, projects or Applications. Such as his pre-teen years, those coincided with the end of junior school. High school starting a new phase. Well, the first three years was one, with the last two being a huge change, and a powerful new beginning. But those last two for him are merged with the next few years conceptually, as he was engaged in a project which unified them. Thus, he defined the stages of his life according to different criteria, all depended on the Context of his expression.”
Biella continued, “He not only perceived his life according to those chronological segments, but also by the conceptual stages, which did not always coincide. Like Patience, which spanned a few periods of his life, at least in the conceptualising stages. Application was to be a life-long love affair. He really did come to be entranced by Patience, by its power...”

- Interesting!”
The Young Man: - Yeah, it's most interesting that I have a visual. :)
Got waylaid. :) <3
L: - “Did that happen more than once, or... to come in the story? ... continue...”
The Young Man: - But excellently so. Went to say hi to E and fell into an awesome convo which flowed from telling her what I was writing about. Have to send to keep her updated. Most important. So I'll get back to story soon as that's done.
L: - “Np.”
The Young Man: - The visual - I can't think of others now, but I do have the feeling there were more.
Where were we last?
Ah, at Context!
L: - “Don Juan coming up!”
The Young Man: - The sensation of matters being lighter was the only feeling associated with that merging. The rest of its importance was mental. When I thought it over, as had now already become my habit, as I explored, and prodded and poked and bent and twisted, examined and analysed, and in every other way I could possibly think of, immersed myself into the Understanding of the implications, I saw all the connections. I connected all those connections. They didn't just happen. I had to manually do so, tie it all up, put it all together. This, I realised, was a big deal.
I realised...
