In the photo, my mother and father are in the backseat holding hands, looking at each other lovingly.

But if you look past them, out the back window of the car there seems to be a shadowy figure of a boy. I've asked many family members if they could identify this boy.

Nobody recognized or remembered him. My question has always been, is a real boy caught in the wedding photo, or a ghost?(less)

How far in advance should you promote your book?

This question seems to linger in the back of every author’s mind. When is it the right time to promote my book? There is a fear among writers that promoting their book too early will kill any momentum going into the release, but promoting too late will allow another book overshadow their novel. So, when does A+B=C? The answer is simple. There is no such thing as promoting your book too early.

James Rollins really nailed it, even though I don't usually read this kind of book. I love the mystery building up in this book. So many times while reading this book I found myself asking, "What is going to happen next?" or "Why are they doing this? ...more
