Coffee, cramps and lemon pie ~ A story

They say that when life gives you lemons, you should probably ask for tequila and salt. That’s what I’ve been doing for the past three days. Because believe me, asking for tequila and salt is way better that drowning in that goddamn lemonade!

Hello awesome people and welcome to a very spontaneous and unexpected post; a life update of some sort. I was planning on working on an Identity Crisis book tag, but then Monday happened and I thought that apparently the universe was trying to send me a message or something. But who am I fooling? The universe doesn’t give a sh*t about me. It’s just that, sometimes, bad things happen, bad days come, and it’s up to us to make the best we can out of the worst we were given.

Take me, for example. This past Monday started as my Mondays always start; with coffee and a gazillion invoices at the office. And that would’ve been normal and manageable if I didn’t have to deal with my period, too. I know, it’s something every woman faces and deals with every month, but some months are worse than others. And this is one of those months, I guess.

After finishing from my morning job, I had to go and pick up some stuff for the office and then head straight to my tutoring classes. This Monday was my first -official- day at the new academy, so I wanted to go there a little early and prepare myself for everything that was about to come. Tutoring eleven kids, all of them between 16 and 17 years old, is a huge responsibility. The thing though is that, every time I think of my responsibilities, I feel this desperate need for caffeine and since I would be at the academy until 9pm, I decided that a cup of coffee was in order. Oh boy… This was probably one of the dumbest decisions I’ve ever made. Not only I spilled my coffee on me, but I also spilled it on my favourite white shirt.
