No More TBRs For Me
Hello awesome nerds and happy Saturday everyone!
As you probably realised from the title of this post, I won’t be setting monthly TBRs from now on, mostly because I don’t seem to follow them. My schedule has become pretty hectic over the past few months, I don’t read as much as I used to and my reading slump seems to be worse than ever. On top of it all, things are going to get even busier, which means that I don’t want to add another thing on my to-do list.
And yes, I feel like that, from the moment I practically forced myself to read many books every month, I lost that kind of magic I used to find every time I turned to the next page. I’m currently reading Truly Devious and there’s something a character said there, that’s quite similar to what I’m dealing with right now. The moment I said I had to read at least five books every month, that’s the moment my reading slump got worse. Which is why I’ll just go with the flow from October onwards and if things pick up, then that’s fine. If not, that’s fine, too.
Reading is supposed to be something that brings joy to us, not something we should stress about. Books are supposed to be this unique source of magic that transports us wherever we want to go. And that’s what I’m hoping to find again; that rare, unique source of magic.
Let’s hope I will…
Do you guys set monthly TBRs and if so, do you stick to them?
Thank you all for stopping by once again. It means the world to me and I want you to know that I most certainly don’t take your presence here for granted.
I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend, dearies.

Inside and Out Book Tag
Hello awesome nerds and happy Thursday everyone.
As my reading slump continues and I don’t really know when it’s going to end, I decided to continue on that safe path of book tags, and share with you the Inside and Out book tag, because I found it extremely fascinating and fun.
So, sit back comfortably and enjoy!

1. Inside flap/Back of the book summaries: Too much info? Or not enough?
I think I want just enough to intrigue and captivate me. I mean, I do want to know what the book I’m going to read is about, but I don’t want the summary to give to much away, for I’ve come to the conclusion that, when something like that happens, I can predict what’s going to happen 9 out of 10 times.
2. New book: What form do you want it in? Be honest: Audiobook, E-Book, Paperback, or Hard cover?
Audiobooks are faster to read, paperbacks are easier to carry with you, and hardbacks are so freaking pretty. What I do know for sure is that I mostly avoid reading e-books, like vamps avoid garlic.
3. Scribble while you read? Do you like to write in your books, take notes, make comments, or do you keep your books clean clean clean?
Clean, clean, clean, that is for certain. Besides, I have three reading journals to take notes and write my feelings about each book I read.
4. Does it matter to you whether the author is male or female when you’re deciding on a book? What if you’re unsure of the author’s gender?
The author’s gender is totally irrelevant to the books I read. What matters to me the most is to read an original book, with real, amazing characters and epic plots. Whether the book is written by a man or a woman, it really doesn’t matter.

5.Ever read ahead, or have you ever read the last page way before you got there?
Guilty! I do that when I don’t really enjoy the book I’m currently reading and I’m like halfway through and I need to know whether or not it’s worth my time and trouble.
6. Organised bookshelves, or outrageous bookshelves?
Organised for sure, although they do need some rearranging. Or, to be more exact, I actually need a new bookcase altogether. Or maybe two…

Get To Know YA Book Tag
Hello lovely people and happy Monday everyone!
It was a really busy weekend, as yesterday was my nephew’s christening and now I’m officially both his aunt and his godmother. We had a lot of fun at the party afterwards and although I wanted to work on a different post, I ended up coming to my “easy” solution; a book tag.
I came across the Get To Know YA Book Tag on Dora’s blog and I really liked the idea, so I decided to work on mine. I promise you though, things will get more interesting in the coming months. I just ask you to be a little patient while I sort everything out in my life.
I ranted a lot, so without any further ado, let’s get to the book tag!

1. FAVOURITE BOOK OF ALL TIME
[image error]
When it comes to YA novels, my instant reaction when someone asks me what’s my favourite book of all time is to say Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Not only it’s packed with magic and characters I absolutely adore, but it also talks about friendship, bravery, betrayal, frenemies… It talks about honour and courage, values all of us should have! Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire has amazing plot twists and extremely inspiring monologues. And that’s probably the reason why I have read it so many times. And I may read it -yet again- closer to Christmas time.
2. FAVOURITE BOOK FIVE YEARS AGO
[image error]
Really? I can’t even remember what I had for lunch yesterday and you expect me to believe which was my favourite book five years ago?
There is a possibility that I was a little more obsessed than I am now with the Vampire Academy series, which still is one of my favourite series of all time. It’s just that, back in 2014 (Holy f&%$!) I was about to finish university, so I was more focused on reading the school material and not YA Fantasy books. God… What a fool I were!
3. FAVOURITE DUOLOGY/TRILOGY SERIES
[image error]
God! What a surprise! Not…
You all know by now that I love the ACOTAR series, for these books helped me fall in love with reading again, the helped me face a really dark period of my life and they taught me that I should not let the hard days win.

The ARCs Are Out!
~ Demonic Debutantes, by Christine Bottas, Amber Boyd, Steven R. Brandt, E. A. Cominskey, Sophia Diaz, Holly Gonzalez, Kristin Jacques, Victoria Moschou, and Josephine Templeton.

Hello, hello awesome people and happy Saturday everyone.
I had a few rough weeks but I think I’m finally getting better. Part of the reason why I feel as if the sun has started shining down on me again is that… the Demonic Debutantes ARCs are finally out and I know for a fact that there are at least five people who are actively reading the book as we speak. Well, technically, we don’t speak. You read and I’m probably trying to get out of my reading and writing slump, but you know what I mean.
As my amazing editor and co-author Steven R. Brandt said, I’m the “Defence Against the Dark Arts” (i.e.publicity) instructor this semester, so I would like to let you guys know that the book will be available for pre-orders on September 28th, and its official release date is going to be October 30th, aka the perfect time for you to read a Dark Fantasy tale, where The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina meets Charmed. A book where good and evil aren’t always easy to detect.
