Are there only five bookish fandoms?
I was talking with my friend Nikki the other day about all the books we’ve recommended to each other and the three books I need to buy soon (Yes, buddy, I promise I’ll order The Foxhole Court by the end of the month), and it occurred to me that there are so many fandoms out there that don’t get the appreciation and the recognition they deserve. Like the Vampire Academy series or The Raven Cycle, the Heart of Thorns series or the All Souls Trilogy. They’re all amazing series and yet, we don’t get to hear a lot about them.
After chatting with Nikki for almost three hours, I couldn’t help but wonder… Is it because the bookish community, from subscription boxes and BookTubers, to bookstrgrammers and BookBloggers tend to focus solely on five fandoms?

July Camp NaNo Aftermath
Why do I bother planning stuff? Why do I bother putting deadlines to myself when, deep down, I know my life will take, yet again, an unexpected turn and all those plans I made will just explode in the most dramatic way (Because, by now, you know I love drama just as much as I love my morning coffee).

Hey awesome nerds and welcome back to my humble blog-home.
As you probably figured out by the title, this post will be an update/rant about how the month of July was in terms of writing, because, if you remember (and I know you do), I took July off of blogging in order to focus on Camp NaNo and the sequel of The Auras’ Chest series, as well as on the editing of Demonic Debutantes, the NA Urban Fantasy novel on which I’ve been working with a few other writers over the past couple of years.
So, first things first, on what comes to the Creator of Divine Mysteries, which is the second book in The Auras’ Chest series (And by the way, if you haven’t checked the Guardian of the Auras yet, make sure you do), I only managed to write 30k words this month and I’m only halfway through finishing the first draft.
The reason why I didn’t reach my goal of 50k words was because… Another non-fiction project popped up. I think I’ve mentioned it already, but if I haven’t let me enlighten you, aside from my day job, which has to do with lots of invoices and wedding planning, I’m also tutoring Economics from September to mid-June. So, the academy with which I’m collaborating asked me to write an Economics book/corpus for the students. So, instead of focusing solely on TAC, I had to work on this book, as well. This practically means that I had to organise every theorem there is, methodologies, exercises and so forth and so on, in order fo the book to be ready by the end of September tops.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my job and I love tutoring those amazing kids, (Because a lot of them are my inspiration for my YA novels), but I was hoping to have the first draft of TAC’s sequel ready by the end of summer. Instead, I have to push it back and try to have it ready by the end of fall.
But don’t worry… I will not leave you with nothing to read.
Demonic Debutantes is almost ready and we’re so close to releasing it towards the end of 2019 (or in early 2020 maximum). I have already contacted a bunch of bookstagrammers and BookTubers, but honestly dearies, if any of you would be interested in reading a NA Urban Fantasy story with shady antiheroes, dark magic and a very likeable demon historian, in exchange for an honest review, I’d be glad to arrange something for you to get ARCs.
The (not quite official yet) summary is:
“CHARMED meet THE CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA
In the first nine days of the ninth month of 1999, the Devil begat nine daughters. To each he gave a power to wreak havoc upon the earth, and to each he gave a home where they could see the wickedness of humankind; where their hearts could nurture dark desires for vengeance and destruction.
But kids don’t always turn out the way you plan and they don’t always follow in their parents’ footsteps. Even if one of those parents is the infamous Lucifer.
Some of them, despite being doomed, still seek the path back to light.”

I hope you guys love our book just as much as we do, for we have put our heart and soul into it.
So, that was more or less how July was for me in terms of writing.
I have already returned to my regular schedule, with more book reviews than before. Let’s be honest… You asked for them, dolls.
